Abstract

Cimaja Village has a low literacy rate of only 53%, which is concerning because it shows a gap in the community's access to education and comprehension of information. Early literacy program implementation for primary school students can benefit the village's development and provide a solid basis for later, more complex learning. The KKN Cimaja Village group organizes mentoring and mobile library programs at Cimaja Village, Sukabumi Regency, with the goal of enhancing literacy among elementary school students. Learning about reading, writing, and numeracy is integrated through the use of the Balanced Literacy approach. The primary school pupils at Cimaja Village have embraced this program wholeheartedly. Students' reading skills have significantly improved, according to observations.

Abstract

GKP Sindangjaya is a congregation that has established a partnership with STT SAPPI for community empowerment. The PkM approach begins with a survey to analyze the issues faced by youth in GKP Sindangjaya. Three main issues were identified: the inconsistency in the attendance of youth, their limited active involvement in the church, and social insecurity among them. The proposed solution is discipleship, involving the formation of a community with the goal of producing committed disciples of Christ. This process involves building deep relationships and effective communication. The PkM activities are designed in accordance with the research areas in the road map of LPPM STT SAPPI, including education, agribusiness, religion, and applied technology. The stages include preliminary surveys, the implementation of various discipleship and social interaction activities, monitoring, evaluation, report preparation, and publication in the form of a journal. The hope for this PkM is that the youth being mentored will exhibit more consistent attendance, active involvement in the church, and improved self-confidence in expressing their opinions. Through this approach, PkM is expected to have a positive impact on the personal and social development of youth in GKP Sindangjaya.

Abstract

In order to increase the Village's Original Income (PADes), this study proposes to create a model of biogas commercialization in tubes based on social capital in environmental organizations. The marketing of biogas products is based on the principles of social capital, which combines aspects of sustainability, efficiency, and community empowerment. This study assessed the efficiency of the social capital-based biogas marketing model in increasing the income and welfare of community groups through surveys, interviews, and data analysis. To support the growth of biogas at the village level, local governments, non-profit groups, and industry players are requested to use the findings of this study as a guide in making more effective marketing policies and tactics. Thus, the implementation of these strategies is expected to positively contribute to economic and environmental empowerment at the village level while increasing Village Original Revenue as a step towards sustainable development.

Abstract

Kurangnya pengetahuan dan pemahaman tentang pengelolaan usaha yang professional untuk peningkatan skala usaha, tidak ada akses maupun media yang mewadai upaya peningkatan skill kewirausahaan secara mandiri yang mudah diakses darimana saja dan kapan saja, dan belum adanya Gerakan yang massif mengenai peningkatkan kualitas kewirausahan menjadikan Tim Abdimas Universitas Muhammadiyah Surabaya melakukan pengabdian dengan menghadirkan Solusi berupa aplikasi Smart Self Entrepreneur (Sse) berbasis web untuk peningkatan kemandirian ekonomi perempuan khususnya kader PWNA Jawa Timur. Metode penelitian dilakukan dalam beberapa tahapan yakni persiapan, pelaksaanaan mentoring evaluasi, dan pelaporan. Hasilnya bahwa pengabdian ini mendapatkan respon yang positif dari berbagai pihak terutama dari PWNA Jawa Timur

Abstract

Management of Education Development Contributions (SPP) at the Walisongo Pontianak Islamic Boarding School plays an important role in maintaining the continuity of education, but is often faced with administrative challenges in recording, monitoring and reporting finances accurately and on time. In the era of digitalization, the use of technology is considered an effective solution in overcoming these obstacles. Through this community service, it offers several solutions to deal with the problems that occur, one of which is the SPP application grant at the Walisongo Pontianak Islamic Boarding School. Development of the SPP Application as an innovative step to increase administrative efficiency. Based on the analysis, the technology application approach is expected to help the Walisongo Pontianak Islamic Boarding School improve the SPP administration system, simplify the recording process, financial reporting, and speed up the transparency of SPP payments. The next step is to socialize and implement this application in Islamic boarding schools, with the hope that it can have a positive impact on managers, students and other stakeholders. The main goal is to make the Walisongo Pontianak Islamic Boarding School an example for similar institutions in facing administrative challenges in this era of digitalization. Thus, this service contributes to the development of technology for education and the management of Islamic educational institutions more effectively

Abstract

Secara umum pengelolaan sampah organik masih menjadi masalah besar karena biasanya langsung dibuang di TPA tanpa diolah atau dimanfaatkan terlebih dahulu serta dapat menimbulkan masalah seperti emisi gas, gas rumah kaca, gas metana yang berasal dari proses dekomposisi anaerobik sehingga dapat menimbulkan bau yang tidak sedap, selain itu lindi dari sampah berpotensi sebagai pencemar lingkungan. Salah satu jenis sampah yang dapat dimanfaatkan kembali adalah sampah buah. Ekoenzim merupakan cairan alami serbaguna yang berasal dari sisa buah/sayur, gula dan air. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini berjalan dengan lancar dan peserta antusias mengikuti kegiatan dari awal sampai akhir. Pada kegiatan ini dibuat ekoenzim dengan memanfaatkan bahan sampah organik dari kulit buah. Proses fermentasi ekoenzim, senyawa organik diurai untuk memperoleh energi dari mikroorganisme. Ekoenzim dilihat dari segi ekonomi salah satunya dapat mengurangi pengeluaran rumah tangga untuk membeli bahan antimikroba dan antibakterial. Apabila ekoenzim dibuat dalam jumlah banyak akan menunjang perekonomian rumah tangga karena ekoenzim dapat dimanfaatkan dari segala aspek, misalnya dapat digunakan sebagai pupuk maupun sebagai bahan pembersih. Limbah kulit buah diolah menjadi produk ekoenzim dengan menambahkan gula aren sebagai substrat dan difermentasi. Hasil yang diperoleh dari fermentasi selama tiga bulan berupa cairan berwarna kuning kecokelatan dengan aroma asam segar dan endapan berwarna kuning. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa ekoenzim yang dibuat layak untuk digunakan sesuai peruntukannya.

Abstract

In the new normal era after the Covid-19 pandemic, people's needs in Indonesia are increasingly high, but job opportunities are also limited to college graduates and those with certain age limits. There are still quite many people who are unemployed and hope to find work to make a living. Therefore, the best solution to this problem is to create an independent economic source by utilizing waste in the surrounding environment to become handicrafts with high selling value. Many innovations have emerged in the use of waste, such as patchwork waste which can be obtained easily, and can become a craft that has value for sale. The author chose the location of Plosokuning Village as a place to carry out the community service program. Plosokuning Village is in Minomartani Subdistrict, Ngaglik District, Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta City. The average job for the people of Plosokuning Village is as farmers and vegetable seller. The aim of this community service program is to provide skills in making crafts from patchwork to increase independence and open economic opportunities for the community, especially housewives to help the family economy.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan literasi keuangan anak usia dini melalui praktik menabung di kalangan anak-anak migran Indonesia yang tinggal di Malaysia, dengan fokus pada Sanggar Belajar Anak Malaysia Indonesia (AMI) Penang. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan interaktif yang melibatkan dongeng edukatif, DIY tabungan, penyuluhan dengan musik, dan pemberian voucher tabungan pada anak-anak berprestasi, pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memperkuat pemahaman anak-anak terhadap konsep keuangan dan manajemen keuangan yang bijaksana. Metode pelaksanaan mencakup penerapan berbagai kegiatan interaktif di Sanggar Belajar AMI Penang. Hasil dan pembahasan menguraikan dampak positif dari pendekatan interaktif terhadap peningkatan literasi keuangan anak usia dini. Kesimpulan menyoroti pentingnya praktik menabung dalam pembelajaran literasi keuangan anak-anak usia dini dan menawarkan rekomendasi untuk pengembangan program di masa depan.

Abstract

Proper urban waste management in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, has emerged as a critical challenge, with upsurge in unmanaged waste levels resulting in devastating environmental and health problems. With the new waste management initiatives sprouting up, community programs and local universities have developed many in the recent past, keeping in mind the greener alternative in a bid to reduce their environmental footprints and embrace sustainability. This paper describes a community service project in designing and constructing losida (kitchen waste bin) that conducts several activities. The project activities are carried out with several local waste banks and waste facilitators from the City of Yogyakarta. The project activity was designing the losida, manufacturing the losida, education of kitchen waste with losida, presentation on household waste processing, and handover the losida to Bank Sampah Masdarling members. The output of project has implemented to create ten units of losida and has been channeled to the waste bank's members. In addition, the workshop of organic waste processing has been carried out in the local community and campus. This research concludes that, in one case, academies and community programs are in need of engaging in more collaborative activities to play significant roles in dealing with urban waste management problems in Yogyakarta, whereas, in another case, it is established that such collaborative activities have brought a significant stride in a sustainable and green waste management paradigm, with high potential for emulation elsewhere in urban centers facing waste management crises.

Abstract

Holistic service in Christian theology emphasizes the integration of social service and evangelism as integral parts of the church's mission. Participant-centered training methods, such as LePSAS, are utilized to facilitate participant-oriented learning. These activities employ LePSAS training methods applied in community service activities to equip participants with knowledge and skills concerning holistic service. Activity evaluations indicate that participants gain a deeper understanding of holistic service and community development. Despite challenges such as field practice session cancellations, participants are still able to implement their learning in their service contexts. The implementation of holistic service through LePSAS training methods contributes positively to expanding participants' understanding and skills in applying holistic service. Activity evaluations serve as a foundation for developing more effective training programs in the future. Thus, these activities underscore the importance of holistic service in the context of Christian theology and the effectiveness of participant-centered training methods in strengthening holistic service.
