Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Laweyan Village, Probolinggo City, encounter intertwined challenges in business legality and digital readiness that hinder their competitiveness and access to formal markets. This community engagement program aimed to enhance MSME competitiveness through integrated mentoring on business legality covering Business Identification Number (NIB), and Home Industry Food Permit (PIRT), and digital transformation training. Using a participatory approach, the program involved 20 MSME participants from the food, crafts, and trade sectors in structured workshops, administrative facilitation, and digital mentoring. Results showed that 80% of participants successfully registered for NIB, and 50% initiated PIRT applications. Most participants also adopted QRIS-based digital payment systems, improved product branding, and created active social media profiles for online promotion. Evaluation through pre and post-tests revealed substantial increases in legal and digital literacy, along with improved transaction efficiency and customer engagement. These outcomes demonstrate that combining legality formalization with digital empowerment effectively enhances MSME competitiveness and resilience. Sustained collaboration among academic institutions, local government, and MSME actors is recommended to ensure long-term impact and scalability.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are vital to Indonesia’s economy but often struggle with financial management, including ineffective receivables recording, limited digital system usage, and basic financial reporting. This community service program aimed to strengthen the managerial and financial capacity of Djack Auto Car, a microenterprise in the automotive service sector, through training, system implementation guidance, and continuous evaluation. Key interventions included soft collection strategies, structured financial recording, and basic taxation, supported by practical modules, templates, and dashboards. Pre-test results showed limited knowledge, with average scores of 57.1 for soft collection and 60 for financial and taxation topics. Post-test results demonstrated substantial improvement, increasing to 82.1 and 83.2, respectively. Field observations indicated that the partner began applying systematic receivables management, conducting timely collections, preparing periodic financial reports, and practicing prudent credit risk management. The program enhanced operational efficiency, data-driven decision-making, and awareness of proper business reporting and tax obligations. Recommendations include sustaining and optimizing the implemented systems, conducting regular financial monitoring, offering advanced financial tools training, and fostering business networks to support long-term, sustainable growth.

Abstract

The growth of digital transactions in the pedesaan community frequently leads to various legal issues as a result of the lack of understanding regarding health and obligations for individuals. This service activity aims to provide concrete actions through counseling, education, and legal training to the people of Padengo Village, Dengilo District, Pohuwato Regency. The execution of the activity involves a variety of stakeholders, including the government, the military, TNI, and the general public as the main subject. Through this activity, the general public has a better understanding of the legal protections in digital transactions, whether they are being used as buyers or sellers. In addition, the training aims to make paralegals in the area strategic in enhancing the community's legal knowledge so they can be proactive in resolving the first issues in the community. This study emphasizes the importance of stakeholder collaboration in creating a safe and effective digital transaction system for the local population.

Abstract

This community service focused on strengthening the Islamic character education of Muslim children within Japanese families through a series of highly interactive activities. The program was structured around practical engagement, including seminars, communal prayers, and targeted Quran recitation sessions. These components were specifically designed to deepen the children's grasp of core Islamic values and actively cultivate their religious practices. The results following the program were noteworthy. Data indicated a significant boost in the participants’ understanding of Islamic character, marked by a 30% increase in comprehension. Furthermore, there was a 25% rise in their active engagement with religious practices. Beyond the statistical improvements, a crucial, lasting outcome was the successful establishment of a supportive community network. This network now provides a vital lifeline for Muslim families in Japan, helping them navigate their daily lives while securely maintaining their cultural and religious identity. This program's success underscores its critical importance for ensuring the continued development of Islamic character among the younger generation in Japan, directly addressing the unique cultural and societal challenges they face. The findings strongly affirm that interactive and hands-on methods are essential for effective character education, pointing to a clear need for sustained support and the expansion of similar programs to benefit more Muslim families across the country.

Abstract

The high prevalence of stunting in Banteran Village, Banyumas Regency, is closely related to limited family income and a lack of community empowerment, especially among mothers who are members of the Family Welfare Movement (PKK). Most members have potential local products, yet their marketing skills remain low, limiting their ability to utilize digital platforms to improve household income. To address this issue, a community engagement program was conducted to strengthen the digital capacity of PKK members through digital marketing training. The activity, held on July 12, 2025, at the Embung Banteran Hall, applied a participatory empowerment approach consisting of two stages: material presentation and hands-on practice. Participants were introduced to the concept of digital marketing and guided to create Shopee Affiliate accounts. The results indicated that participants showed improved digital literacy, self-confidence, and skills in promoting local products online. Moreover, the activity contributed to enhancing family economic independence and demonstrated the potential of digital empowerment as an indirect approach to stunting prevention. This program emphasizes that digital skills development among women’s community groups can be an effective strategy for sustainable community empowerment and local economic growth.

Abstract

The development of digital technology in Indonesia presents challenges for the Argosari Traditional Market Traders Association in Gunungkidul. These challenges arise from low levels of financial literacy, as the association has not yet implemented simple digital financial record-keeping on a regular basis or adopted QRIS digital payment technology. The purpose of this activity was to strengthen the association’s understanding and skills in simple digital financial record-keeping and the use of QRIS payment technology. The PKM-PM implementation method consisted of three stages. The socialization stage involved providing materials and modules to give an initial overview of the importance of financial literacy and the use of QRIS payment technology. The training stage involved direct assistance, including guidance in financial record-keeping using Microsoft Excel and the use of QRIS payment technology through the GoPay Merchant application. The evaluation stage included analysis of pre-test and post-test results, while monitoring was conducted through direct interviews two weeks after the program ended to assess its sustainability. This activity was carried out from July to November 2025 with community partners comprising 20 market traders. The results showed an increase in the community’s understanding of simple digital financial record-keeping, with the average score rising from 83 to 92.5, and in the use of QRIS payment technology, from 84 to 91. The improvement in the community’s skills was demonstrated by traders implementing both simple digital financial record-keeping and QRIS payment technology in their daily business operations.

Abstract

According to the 2022 Indonesian Nutritional Status Survey, the prevalence of stunting among children under five decreased to 21.6%, yet this figure remains above the national target of 14% and the **WHO threshold of 20%. Children in rural areas are more vulnerable to stunting due to limited access to healthcare, inadequate parental knowledge of nutrition, poor access to nutritious food, and insufficient clean water and sanitation facilities. In East Purwokerto Subdistrict, there are 1,955 toddlers, most of whom are at risk of stunting. The Tummy Massage Training was implemented to enhance the capacity of Aisyiyah cadres in stimulating toddlers’ growth and development, providing early management for gastrointestinal issues (such as bloating, constipation, and colic), and assisting in early stunting detection. The program involved 25 Nasyiatul ‘Aisyiyah cadres through counseling sessions and hands-on training. Pre-tests and post-tests were conducted to measure knowledge improvement, showing a notable increase of around 90%. After practical demonstrations, cadres were able to perform tummy massage effectively on toddlers. This community-based intervention proved effective in improving cadres knowledge and skills in managing gastrointestinal disturbances and supporting early stunting prevention efforts. The activity highlights the importance of empowering local health volunteers through practical training as a sustainable strategy to improve child health and reduce stunting rates in vulnerable communities.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) make a significant contribution to economic growth, job creation, community empowerment, and the reduction of economic inequality. By 2023, MSMEs' contribution to Indonesia's GDP is projected to reach 61%, equivalent to IDR 9,580 trillion. The MSME sector absorbs 97% of the national workforce, representing approximately 117 million workers. The number of MSMEs also continues to grow each year, reaching 66 million in 2023, an increase from 65 million in 2022 (KADIN). MSME mentoring is a concrete step in supporting national aspirations, including increasing quality employment, encouraging entrepreneurship, developing creative industries, and supporting infrastructure development. In alignment with the SDGs, this PKM activity helps increase village community income and reduce income disparity. Additionally, MSMEs can apply appropriate technology (TTG) developed through university innovations. In this PKM program, the university’s IKU achievements for students and lecturers relate to IKU 2 and IKU 5, aligning with RIRN in the food sector concerning MSME empowerment for local food processing through TTG. The mentoring provides tangible benefits, with Appropriate Technology such as the Automatic Grinding Machine and Automatic Proofer Machine, resulting in a production increase to 500 Mocaf bolen per day from the original 350, reflecting a 42.86% rise. Furthermore, product diversification training was conducted by processing Mocaf flour into higher-value products such as Bolen Mocaf cookies and Mocaf Banana Bread. Digital marketing and business website mentoring were also implemented to strengthen promotional media, enabling products to access broader and potentially global markets
