Abstract

This study explores a digital transformation initiative implemented for UMKM Bakat Jaya, a micro-enterprise based in Magelang specializing in animal feed production. Initially hindered by limited market reach, low digital literacy, and a lack of integrated technological tools, the enterprise relied primarily on traditional social media platforms for promotion. To address these challenges, a comprehensive and user-friendly website was developed using WordPress, featuring a professional company profile, product gallery, contact information, and seamless integration with existing social media accounts. The project was executed in four key phases: needs identification, website design and development, training and mentoring, and implementation followed by evaluation. Remote interviews and surveys were conducted to assess the partner’s needs, while capacity-building activities empowered stakeholders to manage the digital platform independently. Preliminary outcomes indicate a substantial improvement in market visibility, customer engagement, and operational efficiency. The results highlight the potential of structured digital interventions to transform the promotional strategies of rural micro and small enterprises, offering a scalable and sustainable model for enhancing competitiveness in similar contexts.

Abstract

The community surrounding the Indocement factory in Cirebon, particularly women in the assisted villages, faces a lack of skills and limited economic opportunities. Additionally, the factory produces residual paper waste from cement packaging, which is often underutilized. To address these issues, two community engagement initiatives were implemented: (1) crafting eco-friendly "Kotak Mangan" (Mangan boxes) from recycled cement paper waste as sustainable packaging for natural-dye batik products, and (2) training local women to repurpose cement paper waste into marketable handicrafts such as tissue boxes, flower bouquets, and gift boxes. These activities are aligned with the principles of circular economy and supported Indocement's CSR under the Butterfly Diagram framework. The outcomes demonstrated increased environmental awareness, empowerment of women through skill development, and the creation of value-added products from industrial waste, contributing to both economic and ecological sustainability.

Abstract

This community engagement activity aimed to educate children at TPQ At Thariq, Bone Bolango Regency, about the importance of environmental preservation through an approach grounded in the values of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and aligned with Islamic teachings. The activity was held on Thursday, May 1, 2025, and attended by 17 students. The materials were delivered interactively using storytelling, light discussions, and simple visual media appropriate for children's comprehension levels. The community faced the challenge of limited environmental awareness among young learners. The implemented solution was a contextual and value-based education method that bridges environmental knowledge with religious values. The outcome of the activity revealed high enthusiasm among the participants, who successfully understood key messages such as water conservation, cleanliness, and love for living beings. This context-based approach proved effective in fostering early environmental awareness. It is expected that this initiative may serve as an inspirational model for other TPQs in promoting environmental education.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has created significant opportunities for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to expand their markets through online marketing. However, many MSMEs in Sukadarma Village, Sukatani District, still face challenges in adopting digital marketing strategies due to low digital literacy and limited access to information. This community service activity aims to enhance the understanding and skills of local MSME actors in digital marketing through intensive training and mentoring. The methods used include socialization, hands-on training, and achievement evaluation through pre-tests and post-tests. The results show an improvement in participants' understanding of utilizing social media and marketplaces for product marketing. Additionally, there was an increase in customer interaction with products marketed digitally. Challenges encountered include differences in participants' digital literacy levels and limited internet access in some areas, which were addressed through additional mentoring. The sustainability of this program is expected to be strengthened through the formation of a local digital marketing community and collaboration with e-commerce platforms and internet service providers. Thus, strengthening digital literacy among MSMEs in this village can contribute to enhancing competitiveness and economic growth within the community.
