Abstract

In health sector, a lot of data is found categorical data. The advantage of this category data can do an 'assessment', 'association' and 'effect' of few variables. On the one hand, students do not explore using categorical data, yet understand comprehensively between one method and another statistical method and only focus on one particular method. The purpose is to conduct training to provide knowledge about the concept data and skills data analysis. The target audience is health students. In order for participants to have interest and the training process is fun, the method used is to provide practice from basic to advanced levels and are given repeatedly according to different cases. The results showed increase in participants knowledge about the concept 72.5% and skills data analysis 78.05%. Evaluation of process and instructor showed good. Giving repeated with different levels of ability can develop sensitivity to health issues and practice data analyze quickly and accurately. So, meaningful soft skill element that can be developed, namely being critical. The systematic material is create fun learning process, generate interest and want to learn. It can build cognitive abilities. Discussions help participants gain knowledge and develop soft skills, namely being able to communicate.

Abstract

Data from the National Waste Management Information System (SIPSN) shows that Indonesia produces around 70 million tons of waste in 2022. The majority of waste generation in Depok City comes from households, especially food waste. If this waste is not managed properly, it will cause environmental pollution. Therefore, managing household waste, especially organic waste through cultivating maggots (Larva Black Soldier Fly) is an effective solution in reducing the amount of waste in the environment. These maggot larvae can eat kitchen waste, leftover vegetables and fruit, market waste. Apart from breaking down waste, maggots also have potential as a source of alternative protein, organic fertilizer and biogas. In a program initiated by UPNVJ students and Kedaung Village in Depok City, organic waste management using maggot larvae is implemented in RW 08. This program involves community participation through education and empowerment, thereby minimizing household organic waste through maggot cultivation.

Abstract

The community service activities carried out by the author and his team are one of the actions that originate from a sense of empathy and concern for social phenomena that occur in the Indonesian educational environment. One of these social phenomena is the problem of developing the Merdeka curriculum, especially in educational units that have the label Special Schools. Educators at Special Schools need direction regarding the implementation of independent curriculum development and all forms of school optimization. Community service activities aim to help Special Schools develop the Merdeka curriculum according to the situation and conditions of the school. Curriculum development will optimize school conditions. If school conditions are optimal, then automatically the teaching staff and students will feel optimal in developing their own wealth. The Special School targeted in this community service action is a school that focuses on special children with autism. Autism is a disorder that occurs in the brain and nerves, affecting the sufferer's behavior and attitude. Autistic children should not be underestimated or even ignored. Autistic children need us as fellow humans to support and love their condition. Keywords: Special School, Autism, Independent Curriculum

Abstract

The development of environmental issues is a problem that cannot be separated from socio-political dynamics in Indonesia. This cannot be separated from the link between development in Indonesia and the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) international development agenda which was launched in 2015. The issue of household waste is still a problem in Indonesia, especially related to the high number of cases of landfilling of household waste in final landfills, Therefore, community service is carried out to provide general understanding. The Jakarta Veteran National Development University is collaborating with the Depok City government by establishing the Kampung Caraka program to empower the people of Depok City. This program is implemented using observation and field study methods which aim to develop real solutions for handling household waste in Kedaung Village, Depok City, which is based on facts the community's ignorance the usefulness of Maggots for reducing household organic waste. This is the aim of this service through education and outreach. about the potential, technicalities, and various benefits of this project. The results of this program show that there are many people in Kedaung Village who are enthusiastic about the education and outreach program and are interested in developing Maggot BSF media.

Abstract

This service aims to provide effective and inclusive outreach about the 2024 Election in Pemogan Village, with a focus on cleanliness, honesty, health and justice in the election process. The methods used include observation, interviews, socialization and evaluation. The results of the service show that there is a great need for comprehensive and easily accessible socialization about the 2024 Election. It was also found that it is important to ensure cleanliness, honesty, health and fairness in all stages of the election process to ensure fair and transparent participation. The results of the service show a significant increase in the Clean, Honest, Healthy and Fair aspects of the 2024 Election activities in Pemogan Village. The percentage of environmental cleanliness and election holding increased from 50% to 75%, integrity and honesty in the election process also increased significantly, reaching 75% of the participation of Pemogan Village residents. Apart from that, awareness of the importance of health and equality in access to political information has also experienced a satisfactory increase, showing the effectiveness of the socialization strategy that has been carried out.

Abstract

TPQ Al-Mubaarok, an institution for Quranic learning located in Surabaya, is currently facing challenges in managing student data. Presently, information regarding the students is manually recorded in logbooks, posing a hindrance for the administrators of TPQ Al-Mubaarok to efficiently manage and analyze data. In order to address this issue, we aim to develop a web-based system that facilitates the digital recapitulation process of data. This endeavor begins with conducting field surveys to understand user needs. Subsequently, we proceed to the system design phase and interface design to cater to these needs. System implementation follows the design phase, where we integrate all planned features into a functional system. Next, we conduct system trials involving the authors and the main users of the system, the ustadz/ustadzah. These trials are conducted to ensure that the system operates smoothly and meets user requirements. Finally, we evaluate user satisfaction with the system, particularly from the perspective of the ustadz/ustadzah. The implementation of this system is expected to provide significant benefits, including expediting the registration process for new students, facilitating access to information regarding donations, and providing facilities for managing and summarizing student data more efficiently

Abstract

Palm sugar has wide scope as an alternative sweetener in the Indonesian market. Palm sugar is a natural alternative to cane sugar which is less healthy and also more beneficial for farmers. The taste, sensory profile, and nutritional content of palm sugar vary based on the species, growing region, and climatic conditions. Currently, the traditional processing of palm sap in Kaliabu village results in lower yields and higher costs. There is enormous potential in the field of developing processing techniques (traditional processing, spray drying, membrane technology, and vacuum drying) to optimize palm sugar production in Kaliabu village. Spray drying is a non-conventional method that has the potential to be implemented in palm sugar production in Kaliabu village. This is because spray drying is quite good in terms of increasing antioxidant and phenolic content as well as storage capacity.

Abstract

The partner of this community service activity is SDN Bohar Sidoarjo Regency which is located at Jl. Raya Bohar No. 96, Balun, Bohar, Taman Subdistrict, Sidoarjo Regency, East Java. The principal of SDN Bohar is trying to conduct hurricane disaster mitigation training for students at the school. So the partner problems, in this case SDN Bohar Sidoarjo Regency, namely : 1) Students' understanding of disasters; 2) Students do not have insight and knowledge regarding hurricane disasters, so they need training regarding how to deal with disasters. The short-term goal of community service activities is to increase students' knowledge and abilities by providing training on disaster mitigation materials. Apart from that, it also develops links and matches between DR. Soetomo University and SDN Bohar. The implementation methods used in community activity programs include 1) training, there are two stages of training, namely, training on basic disaster concept material; 2) Training on hurricane disaster mitigation by inviting a moispena car from the East Java BPBD. The results of this community service activity are: 1) There are significant differences before and after the training, before and after the basic concepts of disaster mitigation are explained, this can be seen from the students' ability to understand disaster hazards; 2) During the hurricane disaster mitigation training process, partners and service teams work together so that the specified targets can be implemented well.

Abstract

Technological developments and increasingly high business competition have forced Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to have a good marketing strategy to remain competitive with their competitors. This research was conducted to determine the marketing strategies carried out by MSMEs in facing competition in the digital era. Deep research methods. The results of this research use a qualitative approach. The results show that with the socialization of MSME marketing strategies in this digital era and also practices in making Sari Kacang Hijau Jahe (SAKAHIJA) products they can be directly applied and in terms of price, they apply competitive and competitive prices. In addition, they also have a target market that tends to aiming at a niche market so that their products can be accepted by the market. The application of technology is also more widely used in marketing SAKAHIJA's products through websites and social media to establish good relations and communicate with consumers and audiences.

Abstract

Ability in using English will have a competitive advantage in building strong business relationships and understanding the needs of international customers. However, many bank employees face challenges in developing their English skills. Some of them may have limited access to adequate learning resources, while others may not have enough spare time to attend formal training. Moreover, some bank employees may feel less confident in using English in real business situations, such as interacting with foreign customers or participating in international meetings.  Therefore, through this community service program, we aim to address these obstacles and assist bank employees in developing the English skills necessary for success in an increasingly global banking environment.
