Journal of Community Engagement Research for Sustainability focuses on community empowerment as the result of community services activities. The activities are including the implementation of science development and applied technology to empower society and realize sustainable development. The journal highlights the existing issues that happened in various fields to empower the community. The issues including, but not limited to, increasing the community capacity, applying appropriate technology, applying research result in the community, improving the people knowledge, and also the innovation in the purpose to empower people.

The purpose of this community service activity is to increase knowledge and skills regarding business financial management and be able to make their own books so that they are orderly in carrying out financial records. The method used is by way of training. This Simple Bookkeeping training activity is very helpful for women in recording every financial transaction related to their business. In conclusion, every member of this activity is able and willing to apply this bookkeeping to their business for the smooth and development of their business. <![CDATA[BUMDes is an instrument to take advantage of the local economy with various types of potential. Utilization of this potential is primarily aimed at improving the economic welfare of the villagers through the development of economic enterprises. It is necessary to maximize the role of BUMDes to increase Village Original Income. The purpose of the service activity is to provide assistance in using the BUMDes simkeu application at BUMDes Berkah Bersama in Indragiri Hulu Regency so that it can increase village original income, strengthen the village economy and the welfare of rural communities. The implementation of this service uses a technique of assisting the application of the BUMDes business unit management system on the Web. Discussion and hands-on practice regarding BUMDes governance. The result of this activity is the simkeuBUMDes application. With this application, the BUMDes admin or manager is very helpful in managing BUMDes finances such as recapitulation of BUMDes Financial usage reports, member lists, member savings.]]>

<![CDATA[Sialang Baru Village since the Covid 19 pandemic has affected the local community's economy, especially in the business of processing duck eggs into salted eggs. So far, the use of duck eggs that have not been optimal has become an obstacle in developing their business. The purpose of this service is to find a way to make smoked salted eggs using an efficient and inexpensive oven. The result of making smoked salted eggs using a smoking oven from an oil drum-sized drum produces smoked salted eggs that have a gritty egg yolk texture and taste better than unsmoked salted eggs. The color of salted eggs is better which is light brown compared to using smoking eggs with a gas smoking oven. The cost of making an oven is cheaper than making a gas smoking oven. The smoking oven has helped the UKM community of Kampung Silang Baru in producing smoked salted eggs that are efficient, so that it is possible to further improve the UKM economy.]]>

<![CDATA[A group of farmers in Sawah Baru Village work at the Kampar Gurami fish hatchery. The Pulai Jaya farmer group used natural techniques for gouramy spawning in the hatchery activities. Due to insufficient spawning eggs and intermittent seed production, this group has a challenge that results in very little revenue from its operations. The following goals of community service projects are : 1) Transfer technology for semi-natural gourami spawning to a farmer group in Pulai Jaya so they can produce more kampar gourami seeds. 2) Raise the revenue of the Pulai Jaya Farmers chairman and members and generate jobs, 3) In Sawah Baru Village, information agents and skills about the hatchery technology for semi-natural Kampar Gourami are being developed in order to be shared with other villages. The chairman and members of the Pulai Jaya farmer group have been motivated once again to carry out seeding activities as a result of this activity, according to the findings of observations made of them. They can also effectively absorb and put to use the provided information.]]>

<![CDATA[Stunting is due to nutrient deficiency during the first thousand days. The problem of stunting in developing countries like Indonesia is one of the children's health problems that must be dealt with seriously and continuously. Because this problem can cause irreversible disturbances to physical development and impaired cognitive capacity in children. In addition, the problem of stunting is also at risk for heart disease, high blood pressure and obesity. The team carried out an application method in the form of giving fruit which aims to prevent stunting for the welfare of children and the local community. From the program of activities that have been carried out, there is a result where a striking change in children when given fruit is that children feel happy and happy and participate enthusiastically in eating fruit which is a program to improve nutritional quality. Feelings of fun and joy among children are a signal that children experience cognitive development. Cognitive development refers to reducing the scale of growth retardation in children. Parents of children were also satisfied with the program and concluded that child development should in fact be considered for the quality of a prosperous nation.]]>

<![CDATA[Teachers reveal that they have not implemented STEM-based learning because teachers do not have sufficient insights and they do not have the skills to develop STEM-based learning. Therefore, the effort made to over come these problems are providing training on science learning using a STEM approach to improve the competence of science teachers in conducting STEM-based learning in order to improve the quality of learning in the classroom. The training participants are science teachers at SMPN 1 Sungai Penuh City and the place of service at SMPN 1 Sungai Penuh, Kerinci. Through this activity, it is hoped that teachers can get to know the current developments of the 21st century and of course science teacher at SMP Negeri 1 Kota Sungai Penuh can apply a STEM approach in science learning. The impact is for classroom learning to be more active and teachers are able to develop very effective learning tools in accordance with the demands of basic competencies for 21st century skills.]]>

<![CDATA[Lack of education in waste management has led to a large amount of waste being dumped in landfills. Organic waste is the largest type of waste disposed of in landfills. If organic waste is not managed properly, it can cause unpleasant odors in the environment and become a risk factor for global warming and explosions in landfills. Until now, waste management, both organic and inorganic waste, is still a challenge. This is also the case in RW 02 Kelurahan Air Putih. The community directly disposes of household waste without sorting the waste by type. In addition, the community also does not know how to process organic waste into useful items such as eco-enzyme and eco-enzyme processed products, namely cleaning fluids. This community service activity aims to increase community knowledge and skills on how to process household organic waste into eco-enzyme and liquid soap made from eco-enzyme. The targets in this activity are housewives in RT 06, RT 07, and RT 08, RW 02 Air Putih Village. The method used in this community service activity is socialization and training on how to make eco-enzyme and multipurpose liquid soap. The results obtained from this activity are the increased knowledge and skills of the community in processing organic waste into eco-enzyme and multipurpose liquid soap. The community is also enthusiastic and interested in making these products again in their homes.]]>

<![CDATA[Adolescent is a period of transition to adulthood. At this age, adolescents are prone to experiencing mental health problems, one of which is self-injurious behavior. Adolescents who have self-injurious behavior need social and emotional support from various parties such as parents, health workers, schools, teachers and peers. Peer empowerment helps to train adolescents to recognize their potential, learn to be responsible, lead, and other positive activities that can overcome the problems of adolescents who have self-injurious behavior. The problems encountered in partner groups are; there is no use of peers to solve problems in adolescents, the school has never held special education about PERSEBAYA, and the incidence of students dropping out of school. This community service activity was carried out at Junior High School 21 Tanjung Jabung Timur Regency as a health partner. The purpose of this service is to carry out prevention efforts in adolescents by providing PERSEBAYA intervention. The method used is an experimental method where adolescents are given treatment in the form of PERSEBAYA intervention. <![CDATA[Limited face-to-face learning requires teachers to have alternative solutions in packaging the delivery of learning materials more interestingly and not making students feel bored. Teachers have difficulty in creating learning media that is suitable for students so that students who take part in learning activities are less enthusiastic. Efforts that can be made to overcome this problem can be done by upgrading the use of wondershare as an attractive, effective, and efficient learning medium. The purpose of this upgrading activity is to maximize the quality of learning in the classroom. The upgrading participants were science teachers in Sungaipuh and the place where the community service was held at SMP Negeri 1 Sungaipuh, Kerinci. After participating in upgrading activities, teachers can innovate in developing alternative learning media by making attractive learning videos. The positive effect of this activity is that learning can be carried out in a more interesting and less boring way.]]>

The widespread use of technology is clear evidence that humans and technology cannot live separately. 5.0 society is the concept that technology will coexist with humans to improve a good quality of life. Tourism is one sector that can benefit from the 5.0 era of society. Through digital content, people can find tourist objects they want to visit by searching various digital media or what is often called social media. This research uses a conceptual review to review the use of digital content as an effort to increase tourism promotion in the era of 5.0 society.]]>
