Abstract

The Industrial Revolution 4.0 has produced many technologies that can increase productivity with various sophistications. Some of the technologies from the Industrial Revolution 4.0 are Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS), the Internet of Things (IoT), and also machines that are widely used today in 3D printing. 3D printing is related to reverse engineering, the process of remaking existing objects and creating digital documentation from existing objects. In this training, we introduced the concept of reverse engineering along with its workflow using 3D scanning and 3D printing technology. The aim of this training was that participants could gain inspiration and additional knowledge that can be used in companies to increase productivity and can also be used in the education sector to increase the knowledge of teachers. The method used in this training was divided into 2 sessions. The first was a seminar session to explain the theory and the second was a workshop session to practice the reverse engineering process directly. Hopefully, the results of this training could contribute to empowering companies, human resources, teachers, and students to have the skills and knowledge of the latest technology.

Abstract

This community field study aimed to repair the damage to the business post on Rt 6 Wisma Permai Barat, which is an important source of income for local residents. The aim of this activity was to improve the functionality of the business post and increase the comfort of its occupants. The project involved initial site surveys, renovation planning, and post-renovation work. Seven community service program students from Darma Cendika University and several local residents collaborated on this project from March to July 2024 (5 months). The main activities carried out included painting, adding canopies and decorations, filling holes in walls, and leveling the expanded land with paving and plastering. Students and residents participated in the smooth running of this project. The result of this project is that the business post now looks cleaner and more attractive due to the new color scheme. The extension area becomes more comfortable, with additional shade and flatness. This community service project shows the significant impact of collaborative efforts between students and local communities in improving public infrastructure. This project was undertaken so that the upgraded business outpost would hopefully better fulfill its purpose and provide a more enjoyable environment for the business and its customers.

Abstract

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is described as a developmental disorder characterized by symptoms of inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity. ADHD can be classified into three subtypes depending on the intensity of symptoms: inattention dominant, hyperactive-impulsive dominant, and combined. Preschool age, also known as early childhood, is the age when growth patterns develop rapidly. The golden period is when children younger than six years old acquire excellent skills, such as perception, interaction, and speaking. During this period, children learn to process information quickly, become reliable models, become smarter and smarter than what they see, and form the basis for the formation of their attitudes and knowledge. The study was conducted with the parents of Posyandu Balita Cempaka 4 Sudiroprajan members as the participants. Based on the pretest and posttest analysis, it could be seen that after health education about early detection in children, the parents' knowledge increased. In addition, play therapy methods were used to prevent cases of ADHD in children, reducing the case rate from 10% to 100% good knowledge.

Abstract

Drug abuse and misuse among teenagers have been on the rise year after year. These teenagers must have a solid knowledge of drug use. Health education is provided to Yogyakarta high school students in order to improve their understanding of drug abuse and misuse. The health education is being held at SMK Kesehatan Pelita Bangsa Yogyakarta with 92 participants. The activities begin with a pre-test, continue with a presentation about drug abuse and misuse, and conclude with a post-test. Most participants are female (82%) and in the twelfth grade (49%). The average pre-test score of 86.41 increases to 91.41 in the average post-test score, indicating an improvement in respondents' knowledge. The activity hopes to teach students how to use drugs rationally, particularly ones widely abused by teenagers.

Abstract

This community service project aims to introduce and implement Augmented Reality (AR) technology for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Pentingsari Village, Yogyakarta, enhancing their promotional capabilities. The initiative involved local MSME owners, village officials, lecturers, and students collaborating to integrate modern technology with local wisdom. The project used methods such as presentations, discussions, and AR technology demonstrations to identify unique MSME products suitable for AR enhancement and develop tailored AR applications. The results indicate high enthusiasm among participants in adopting AR technology for their product development and marketing strategies. A user survey of the developed AR application showed an overall positive response, with an average rating of 4.26 out of 5 across various aspects, including ease of installation, operation, user interface quality, and 3D model display. This project demonstrates the potential of AR technology to boost competitiveness significantly and add value to MSME products in Pentingsari Village while highlighting areas for future improvement and expansion of the AR application to support local tourism and economic development further.

Abstract

One of the works of the Saint Dominic Sister is education. As Indonesian education is shifting in the paradigm, the foundation feels the urgency to equip the education team with the ability to contribute to the Indonesian education trend without losing sight of its vision and mission. One of the Indonesian education trends for teachers is the use of Platform Indonesian Mengajar (PMM - Indonesian Teaching Platform) in which the teachers are expected to take part in developing their portfolio through the platform. By the foundation, this platform is deemed to be in line with the praedicare year I (2024-2025) in which the foundation focuses on making a public declaration. In the effort to announce good practices, preliminary data indicated that few of the school team, who are expected to be role models for other teachers, have actively contributed to PMM. A deeper analysis revealed that the foundation needed to facilitate those teachers to be familiar with the application. To deal with this challenge, a one-day workshop on how to upload the portfolio and what content to be uploaded on the PMM was conducted. The results of the workshop were that all school team in YSD schools were successfully upload their portfolio.

Abstract

The phenomenon of bullying is currently rampant in educational institutions both at the elementary school and college levels. The rise of bullying cases at the elementary school level certainly requires special attention and cannot be underestimated. Therefore, solutions are needed to overcome bullying in schools. Activities to increase student awareness related to bullying at the elementary school level aim to reduce the number of bullying cases in educational institutions, especially at the elementary school level. The location of the service implementation was at SD Inpres Perumnas IV Jayapura City. The majority of students admitted that every day they practiced bullying their friends both in verbal and physical forms. They believed that this was a biased thing if it had not had a serious impact on the victim's condition. This service activity was done so that students know the forms of bullying and how they can overcome it early on as a form of their attitude to fight bullying activities that often occur in the educational environment. The results of increasing student awareness measured the success of the service activities, which was known by all components in the basic education institution including students, teachers, and education personnel.

Abstract

Stunting is a chronic nutritional problem that results in impaired growth in toddlers, which can have a negative impact on the child's physical and cognitive development. Jember Regency has a fairly high prevalence of stunting, including in Ngampelrejo Village. This community service program aims to educate mothers of kindergarten and PAUD students in Ngampelrejo Village about preventing stunting through a demonstration of making green bean milk, which is known to be rich in nutrients. This activity was carried out in three stages: socialization about stunting, socialization about the nutritional value and benefits of green beans, and practical training in making green bean milk. The methods used included lectures, interactive discussions, direct demonstrations, and active participant participation. The evaluation results showed that the participants had a good understanding of stunting and the benefits of green beans, with the average assessment scores were 8 and 9 respectively. In the skill of making green bean milk, participants showed adequate ability with a score of 8. The participants also showed high involvement in the discussion and considered the knowledge gained easy to apply at home, with an average score of 9. This program succeeded in increasing the understanding and skills of mothers in preventing stunting by processing green beans into nutritious milk. Thus, this training is expected to be an effective model to be implemented in other villages with similar problems, so that it can help reduce stunting rates and improve the quality of life of children in Jember Regency.

Abstract

This community service program aimed to optimize the water tourism potential of Pangancraan Hamlet, Cijulang, Pangandaran as a driving force of the local economic growth. Despite its natural beauty, which is ideal for river tubing, the tourism sector remains underdeveloped due to limited promotion, uncoordinated tourism management, and declining community enthusiasm for managing tourism activities. Revitalization of the "Cijoelang Rafting" attraction will open up greater local economic opportunities and improve the well-being of the community, while also preserving the environment and local culture. The implementation of the program included four stages: preparation, implementation of counseling, monitoring, and forming an implementation agreement for community partnership programs (fostered villages) with Siliwangi University. The program included outreach efforts to rekindle the community spirit and raise awareness of the importance of effective tourism management. By using a participatory approach that involved the community in decision-making and project implementation, the program sought to ensure the sustainability of tourism management in Pangancraan Hamlet. The participants in the outreach program came from various generations and communities, ensuring that people from all segments of society could gain valuable experiences and insights that could be shared with other group members. Throughout the activity, the participants were actively engaged in interaction and communication.

Abstract

Faced with the limited pastoral services intertwined with the need for basic faith education in families in St. Paulus Lambing Parish, West Kutai, this community service offers a collaborative and integral family faith accompaniment for parents, young people, and children. The team came to the location, lived, and did activities with the community, especially in the four service center stations in this Parish. During the live-in, the team carried out seven activities packaged with the BEREAKSI method, which elaborated aspects of playing/learning, reflection, and concrete action. This service received an enthusiastic response from the community, from parents, young people, and children. The activity materials, which were appropriate for ages and methods and involved the minds, hearts, and selves of the participants, received appreciation because they answered the longings and needs of the community. In particular, this community service was beneficial for parents to deepen their understanding of the four roles of the family according to Familiaris Consortio and the richness of the seven sacraments in the Church, for young people to recognize their identity and calling as people loved by God, and for children to recognize and love the basic prayers in the Catholic Church.
