Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of multicultural learning based on religious values on bullying behavior of students in elementary schools. The method used is quantitative with a true experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group model. The subjects of the study were third-grade students of Purwodadi 2 Public Elementary School who were divided into experimental and control groups. Data collection was carried out through tests, observations, interviews, and documentation. The results of the analysis using the independent sample t-test showed a significance value of 0.004 (p < 0.05), which indicates a significant difference between the experimental and control groups. Multicultural learning that integrates religious values such as tolerance, compassion, and mutual respect has been proven to be able to reduce bullying behavior significantly. These findings indicate that a learning approach based on religious values not only impacts cognitive aspects but is also effective in shaping the character of students who are tolerant and moral. Thus, this strategy can be used as an alternative in creating a safe, inclusive school environment and supporting holistic character development.

Abstract

Mathematics is frequently perceived as an abstract discipline, disconnected from everyday life, thus necessitating the implementation of contextual learning approaches. Ethnomathematics is one such approach that connects mathematical concepts with local culture. This study aims to explore the ethnomathematical values found in bamboo weaving crafts in Sukabumi Regency and their relevance to geometry learning in schools. This study employed a qualitative approach through ethnographic methods. Data were collected through literature studies, observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving traditional bamboo weaving artisans. The sample was selected using purposive sampling, focusing on artisans who are actively involved and understand the traditional weaving process. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis to identify geometric patterns found in the woven motifs. The findings reveal the presence of various geometric forms such as cuboids, triangles, squares, and symmetrical patterns within the bamboo weaving crafts. These findings indicate that traditional crafts can serve as contextual learning media that strengthen students' understanding of geometric concepts while also instilling local cultural values. The implications of this study suggest that the exploration of ethnomathematics in bamboo weaving crafts can serve as a foundation for developing contextual and culturally based geometry learning materials and modules. Furthermore, integrating local culture into learning is believed to enhance student engagement and enrich more meaningful learning experiences.

Abstract

The learning process implemented by educators has varied in the use of learning models, but student learning outcomes are still relatively low. Based on these problems, this study applies a mnemonic learning model assisted by image media that has never been used before. This study aims to determine the effect of the mnemonic learning model assisted by image media on the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students in the subject of science at SD IT Maryam Muraith Martapura, East OKU Regency. The type of research used is quantitative with a quasi-experimental design (post-test only control design). The subjects of the study were fourth-grade students, consisting of an experimental class, a control class, and one validation class. The instrument used was a test, while the data analysis technique used a t-test. The results of the normality test showed a value of 0.113 and 0.397 > 0.05 so that the data was normally distributed. The homogeneity test produced a value of 0.245 > 0.05 which means the data was homogeneous. Hypothesis testing with an Independent Sample t-test showed a value of 0.000 < 0.05 so that H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. Thus, there is a significant influence of the use of mnemonic learning models assisted by image media on student learning outcomes in the fourth grade science subject at SD IT Maryam Muraith Martapura, East OKU Regency.

Abstract

In Indonesia, the Independent Curriculum (Kurikulum Merdeka) was introduced as a response to challenges, but its successful implementation depends heavily on its integration with a deep learning approach. This study aims to analyze the relationship between epistemology, pedagogy, and deep learning in the Independent Curriculum through a philosophically based literature review. The analysis shows that epistemology serves as a conceptual foundation that determines perspectives on the nature of knowledge, pedagogy serves as an implementation bridge that translates philosophical foundations into learning strategies, while deep learning is the ultimate goal of conceptual understanding, critical reflection, interconceptual relationships, and the application of knowledge in real contexts. Thus, deep learning is an epistemological and pedagogical transformation that contributes to the formation of reflective, critical, and character-based students in facing the dynamics of 21st-century life.
