Abstract

The Mobile Brigade (Brimob) retention pond is located on Jalan Demang Lebar Daun, Ilir Barat 2 District, Palembang City. The retention pond is in poor condition. It covers 2,147.6 m2 and has a depth of 3 meters. The area of the Brimob retention pond often overflows during heavy rainfall and floods the surrounding roads.From the discussion and calculations, the analysis of the Brimob retention pond shows that the inlet discharge is 6.039 m3/sec. The total flood discharge is 2.1609 m3 for the Brimob retention pond area. The capacity of the Brimob retention pond is 73119m3. From the points above, based on the objectives of this analysis, it is concluded that the retention pond capacity is 73119 m3.

Abstract

This study evaluates the extent to which child-friendly concepts in apartments in Kendari City have integrated Gestalt principles into the texture and function of spaces. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive-analytical methods to gain a deeper understanding of the application of child-friendly concepts in vertical housing. This research was conducted in several apartments in Kendari City: Ponggolaka Apartments, PPS Apartments, Puday Apartments, and Bungkutoko Apartments. Based on the research results and discussion, it can be concluded that the application of texture in the spatial design of apartments in Kendari City has not fully met the basic principles of visual and tactile perception that support child comfort and development: Proximity, Similarity, Continuity, Closure, Figure-Ground, Visual Texture Variation, Tactile Texture (touch), Regularity and Balance, Textural Scale and Proportion, and Sensory Stimulation Function.

Abstract

Rumah berbasis AIr (water-based architecture) merupakan identitas arsitektur tradisional masyarakat Suku Bajo yang diwariskan secara turun-temurun. Keunikan rumah panggung di atas peraIran tidak hanya menjadi representasi budaya, tetapi juga menghadirkan tantangan dalam bidang rekayasa sipil, khususnya terkAIt fondasi di perAIran dangkal, pemilihan material tahan lembab, serta adaptasi struktur terhadap dinamika pasang surut. Perkembangan teknologi kecerdasan buatan (AI) membuka peluang baru dalam mendukung perencanaan rumah berbasis airr yang lebih adaptif dan berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini memanfaatkan teknologi AI Nano Banana untuk menghasilkan visualisasi perencanaan rumah berbasis AIr berkelanjutan di Desa Bajo. Dengan pendekatan kualitatif-eksploratif, penelitian ini menelaah bagaimana AI dapat menghadirkan representasi visual yang komunikatif, memudahkan pemahaman teknis, sekaligus menjaga konteks budaya lokal. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa visualisasi AI tidak hanya mempercepat proses perancangan, tetapi juga dapat menjadi media partisipatif antara akademisi, praktisi rekayasa sipil, dan masyarakat dalam merancang rumah yang ramah lingkungan serta kontekstual. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi pada pengembangan metode perencanaan berbasis AI untuk kawasan pesisir, dengan menekankan integrasi teknologi, keberlanjutan, dan kearifan lokal.

Abstract

Based on several previous studies, it was found that there were differences in justifications regarding the influence of volume, speed, and traffic density on the level of noise on the highway. The aim of this research was to analyze the influence of volume, speed, and density on the noise level. The research method used a descriptive and parametric statistical approach. The results of the study indicated that the influence of vehicle volume on noise was 46.6% with a direct relationship. The influence of speed on noise was 5.6% with an inverse relationship. The influence of traffic density on noise was 64.8% with a direct relationship. The traffic density variable had the greatest impact on the noise level on the highway. The relationship between vehicle speed and noise was inverse only up to a speed of 70 km/h. If the average vehicle speed exceeded 70 km/h, it was possible for there to be a direct relationship, meaning that as the vehicle speed increased, the noise level also increased.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menyoroti pengelolaan risiko Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (K3) pada proyek pembangunan Gedung DPRD Kabupaten Bombana, yang bertujuan meminimalkan potensi kecelakaan serta mendukung peningkatan produktivitas konstruksi. Metode yang digunakan berupa pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif melalui penyebaran kuesioner, observasi di lapangan, dan telaah dokumen Rencana Anggaran Biaya (RAB). Sebanyak 30 responden, meliputi manajer proyek, pengawas, petugas K3, serta pekerja, dilibatkan untuk mengidentifikasi risiko dan mengevaluasi implementasi K3. Temuan penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa faktor utama dalam penerapan K3 ialah ketersediaan serta pemakaian Alat Pelindung Diri (APD), konsistensi pengawasan, intensitas pelatihan, dan pemasangan rambu keselamatan. Walaupun K3 sudah diterapkan, pelaksanaannya masih kurang optimal karena disiplin pekerja dalam penggunaan APD rendah dan pengawasan belum maksimal. Analisis anggaran menunjukkan alokasi biaya K3 masih di bawah standar yang dipersyaratkan SE Kementerian PUPR No. 11/SE/M/2019. Oleh karena itu, peningkatan anggaran K3, pengawasan ketat, pelatihan berkesinambungan, dan pembentukan budaya keselamatan menjadi langkah penting untuk mewujudkan zero accident. Hasil riset ini diharapkan dapat menjadi rujukan praktisi maupun akademisi dalam memperkuat manajemen risiko K3 pada sektor konstruksi.

Abstract

River abrasion is a natural disaster that causes land erosion due to strong water currents or waves, leading to significant impacts on human settlements and land use. This study analyzes the extent of land loss and changes in settlement patterns caused by river abrasion in Muara Sampara Village, Kapoiala District, Konawe Regency, from 2014 to 2024. Using a Geographic Information System (GIS) approach with high-resolution satellite imagery, overlay analysis was conducted to determine the spatial dynamics of land use and the extent of areas affected by abrasion. The results show that the total land area of the village decreased by 3.23 hectares over ten years, with the highest rate of abrasion occurring between 2016 and 2018. The analysis also indicates a gradual shift in settlement patterns from riverbanks toward safer central areas of the village, reflecting community adaptation to environmental changes. These findings provide crucial spatial information to support local government policies on riverbank management, disaster mitigation, and sustainable land use planning

Abstract

Improving accessibility to tourist areas is one of the key priorities in supporting the development of sustainable tourism. This study aims to evaluate the road performance leading to the Toronipa Beach tourist area in Kendari City and to assess user perceptions of its accessibility quality. The research employs a quantitative approach through technical analysis based on the Indonesian Highway Capacity Guidelines (PKJI) 2023 and user perception analysis using the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) method. Data were collected through traffic volume surveys and questionnaires distributed to 100 road users on weekdays and weekends. The analysis results indicate that the Level of Service (LOS) falls under category C on weekdays with a degree of saturation (DS) of 0.63, and category D on weekends with a DS of 0.81. The CSI analysis shows a satisfaction score of 74.2%, which is classified as “satisfied.” The dominant factors influencing user satisfaction include road physical condition, driving comfort, travel time, and the availability of supporting facilities. This study concludes that the improvement of road infrastructure between Kendari and Toronipa has significantly enhanced transportation performance and fostered positive user perceptions of accessibility to this coastal tourist destination

Abstract

The construction sector has a high risk of workplace accidents; therefore, implementing the Occupational Safety and Health Management System (SMK3) is highly important. This study aims to analyze the implementation of SMK3 in the rehabilitation project of Ex-MTQ Kendari City using a descriptive qualitative method through observation and interviews. The results show that the implementation of SMK3 has been fairly good, as indicated by the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), safety signs, safety briefings, and the presence of safety officers on site.

Abstract

The increasing concern for environmental sustainability has prompted innovations in the construction industry, particularly through the utilization of agricultural waste as supplementary cementitious materials. This research examines how replacing cement with rice husk ash (RHA) influences the compressive strength and workability of Self-Compacting Concrete (SCC). A comparative experimental approach was used, with Portland Composite Cement (PCC) serving as the primary binder and RHA added as a partial cement substitute at proportions of 2.5%, 5%, and 10% by weight. Prior to developing the mix design, the physical and mechanical characteristics of the aggregates were assessed following Indonesian National Standards (SNI). The compressive strength of cylindrical specimens (15 cm × 30 cm) was measured at 14 and 28 days of curing. The findings show that replacing 5% of the cement with RHA yielded the greatest compressive strength, reaching 35.7 MPa at 28 days, exceeding the strength of the control mix and other replacement levels. This enhancement is attributed to the pozzolanic activity of the amorphous silica in RHA, which improves the concrete’s microstructure and decreases its porosity. However, exceeding 5% replacement leads to reduced performance due to excessive dilution of cementitious content. Therefore, rice husk ash can be effectively utilized as an eco-friendly cement replacement up to an optimal proportion of 5%, supporting the development of sustainable construction materials in Indonesia
