Abstract

The logical consequence for a growing city is an increase in population and shrinkage of rice fields and forests which are being converted into industry and residential areas. The Integrated Team for Controlling the Conversion of Rice Land in Serang Regency noted that there had been a reduction in rice fields covering an area of 15 thousand hectares from 2019 to 2022 in the Serang Regency area. This research was carried out to answer research questions regarding the concept of legal protection for housing investors in the transition of the function of rice fields in Serang Regency and how the provisions for the conversion of protected rice fields in Serang Regency are implemented. This research is normative juridical research using a statutory approach, a conceptual approach and an analytical approach. Data collection techniques were obtained by means of library research and data analysis using descriptive qualitative analysis. The results of this research are that currently there is no protection for investors regarding the legal conversion of protected rice fields. Rice fields which are then converted into residential land cannot be legally defined as ownership rights by the community because they stand on protected rice fields. Investors do not get transparent access regarding mapping of protected rice fields in Serang district, while the business licensing process has been issued and can be operated by housing investors.

Abstract

In 2014, the idea emerged to return regional head elections through the DPRD. However, many parties oppose this idea because it is considered to reduce aspects of democracy. Nevertheless, the idea was eventually regulated in law. The strong rejection from the community prompted the President to issue a government regulation in lieu of law which guarantees that regional head elections will still be carried out directly by the people. In this context, this research formulates several issues, namely the urgency of indirectly electing regional heads and the advantages and disadvantages of the DPRD election system compared to direct election by the people. The method applied in this research is normative research. Based on the author's analysis, there are various arguments and reasons that support the election of regional heads by the DPRD, although there are also weaknesses that can cause dissatisfaction in society.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the important role of teacher performance in the education and learning process, especially in determining student learning outcomes. Teacher performance is a complex factor and involves understanding students' situations and the ability to create a conducive learning atmosphere. Apart from performance, the compensation received by teachers can also influence creativity in teaching. Therefore, this research was conducted to analyze the influence of human resource management compensation and teacher performance on teacher creativity in Depok City Vocational Schools. Teachers as research objects were chosen because they have a strategic role in improving the quality of education. The research method used is a quantitative approach with multiple regression analysis. This research involved the entire population of vocational school teachers in Depok City, with a total population of 150 teachers. However, the samples taken were 90 teachers from various backgrounds including gender, education level and age. Data was collected through questionnaires filled out by respondents. Variables in this research include compensation, teacher performance, and teacher creativity. Hypothesis testing was carried out to determine the relationship between variables and see the significant influence that emerged between teacher compensation and performance on teacher creativity. The research results show that compensation does not have a significant effect on teacher performance. However, teacher performance has a significant influence on teacher creativity. Simultaneously, teacher compensation and performance have a significant influence on teacher creativity. These findings emphasize the importance of improving teacher performance in an effort to encourage creativity, and provide an illustration that even though compensation does not show a significant direct effect, attention is still needed in its management to support optimal performance.

Abstract

Self-medication by patients without medical supervision can pose risks of complications, especially when involving the use of multiple medications simultaneously. Law No. 17 of 2023 on Health regulates the responsibilities of doctors but does not provide clear legal protection for doctors in handling complications arising from self-medication. This study analyzes the legal risks faced by doctors in such situations and identifies regulatory gaps that increase doctors' vulnerability to legal claims. The study recommends additional regulations to strengthen legal protection for doctors, as well as enhanced public education on the risks of self-medication, to ensure safe and responsible medical practices.

Ownership of a flat can be done through buying and selling, renting or inheriting. The buying and selling process is carried out before a notary, and the notary plays an important role in ensuring that the property rights given to foreigners are in accordance with applicable regulations. Ownership of flats by foreigners is only permitted in Special Economic Zones (KEK).
