Abstract

This study aims to analyze the reconstruction of pharmacy licensing in Indonesia based on the general principles of good governance to achieve legal certainty. The focus of the study is the implementation of the Minister of Health Regulation Number 14 of 2021 concerning Standards for Business Activities and Products in the Implementation of Risk-Based Business Licensing in the Health Sector and its impact on local regulations such as the Banjar Regent Regulation and the Decree of the Head of the Bogor Regency Health Office. This study found that although the regulation was designed to standardize pharmaceutical service standards, there were differences in interpretation and implementation at the regional level. It creates legal uncertainty for operating pharmacies, especially regarding the requirements for the number of pharmaceutical personnel, such as pharmacists and pharmaceutical technicians, in pharmacies that operate 24 hours. The method used in this study is a normative legal approach with an analysis of laws and regulations and related documents. The study results indicate that although the Minister of Health Regulation Number 14 of 2021 provides a clear legal framework, its implementation in the regions requires reconstruction to comply with the principles of good governance, such as legal certainty, openness, and justice. Alignment between central and regional regulations is vital to ensure optimal pharmaceutical service standards and reduce bureaucratic obstacles in licensing. Concrete steps to unify regulations at the central and regional levels are needed to create a more effective and efficient pharmacy licensing system.

Abstract

This research aims to deepen students' understanding of the concept of light interference by using the PhET Virtual Lab simulation as an interactive learning medium. The research subjects consisted of five students from the physics education study program who were chosen deliberately. The research method used is a descriptive experimental design, which involves stages of simulation, measurement, calculation validation, and concept understanding tests. The results showed a clear relationship between the distance between the gaps and the light pattern on the screen, which is in accordance with the theory of light interference. The PhET simulation was proven to be able to increase students' comprehension scores, which were initially only 40% on the pre-test, to 81.6% on the post-test. The visualization provided by simulations helps students to better understand the relationship between theory and phenomena in more depth. This simulation also allows students to practice concepts through various representations, such as verbal, graphic and mathematical. This research recommends the use of the PhET Virtual Lab simulation as an effective learning medium to increase understanding of physics concepts, especially regarding light interference.

Abstract

Sports teams in facing a match are often faced with the pressure to win, this can trigger competitive anxiety in its members. Group Cohesion is a state of group members who are compact and uphold the value of solidarity. While competitive anxiety is a negative emotional reaction in athletes that arises when their self-esteem is threatened because of a match that is considered difficult. This study aims to determine the relationship between group cohesion and competitive anxiety in students who join sports organizations in Jakarta. The measuring instruments used in this study are the Competitive State Anxiety Inventory-2R (CSAI-2R) and The Group Environment Questionnaire. The sampling technique in this study used Purposive sampling with a total sample of 353 active students of sports organizations in Jakarta. Data processing was carried out using SPSS 25 for Windows. From the results of data processing, it was found that there is a negative relationship between group cohesion and competitive anxiety, namely p value = .000 and r value = -.471. This means that if individuals with high group cohesion then competitive anxiety will be low.  In other words, the stronger the group bond, the less likely members are to feel anxious when facing a match.

Abstract

Final-year students living away from home often face various challenges. In dealing with these challenges, students need resilience in order to overcome them effectively. Resilience is the ability to face and recover from difficulties with strength (Rutter, 2006). In developing resilience, self-compassion plays an important role. Self-compassion is a kind and understanding attitude toward oneself when facing challenges (Neff, 2003). This study aims to explore the relationship between self-compassion and resilience among final-year students living away from home. This research uses a correlational quantitative method with purposive sampling technique. The research subjects are 360 final-year students in Jakarta who are from outside the Jabodetabek area. The measurement tools used are the Self-Compassion Scale (SCS) and the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC), both of which have been translated. Data analysis was performed using Spearman's correlation test, and the results show a significance value of 0.001 and a correlation value of 0.438, indicating a positive relationship between self-compassion and resilience. This means that the greater the self-compassion, the greater the resilience.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the role of public relations management in increasing public loyalty in the school environment through a literature review. The results of the analysis show that public relations plays a strategic role as a liaison between schools and the public by focusing on information transparency, use of social media, increasing community participation, crisis management, and creating a positive image. This strategy has been proven to be able to increase public trust and support for schools, which is the main foundation for building loyalty. However, there are several challenges, such as low public relations professionalism, limited resources, and suboptimal use of technology. This literature study recommends increasing the capacity of public relations through training, optimizing digital media, and supporting school management to increase the effectiveness of the role of public relations.

Abstract

The Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) Scale, developed by Przybylski, Muryama, DeHaan, and Gladwell (2013), and the self-control scale created by Averill (1973) were both used in this study. Correlation analysis results showed an r-value of -0.913 with Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant negative relationship between self-control and Fear of Missing Out (FoMO). Additionally, the study found that self-control contributed effectively by 33% to Fear of Missing Out (FoMO), while the remaining 67% was influenced by other factors outside the study. The purpose of this research was to determine the level of self-control exercised by late adolescents in Jakarta toward coffee shops that became popular on social media due to Fear of Missing Out (FoMO). The uncomfortable sensation of feeling left out of others' experiences or possessions is known as Fear of Missing Out (FoMO), which often prevents individuals from appreciating the present. Self-control, a crucial skill, allows individuals to adapt to their environment through appropriate behavior, understanding, and decision-making. Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) occurs more frequently in individuals with poor self-control as they struggle to resist impulses and minimize the impact of social media. A total of 403 late adolescents (aged 18–22) who frequently visited coffee shops at least once a week and were active on social media were selected as the study sample.

Abstract

This research examines the social and cultural evolution of pre-Islamic Arab society through an in-depth analysis of the influence of the Roman and Persian Empires. The main focus of this research is to explore the structural changes that occurred in Arab society before the emergence of Islam, by considering the complex dynamics of interethnic interactions, trade systems, and cultural practices. This research uses an interdisciplinary approach that combines the perspectives of archaeology, historical anthropology, and geopolitical studies to reveal complex mechanisms of social change. The research results show that pre-Islamic Arab society had a very dynamic and adaptive social structure. The initially rigid tribal system experienced significant changes due to interactions with large empires, economic exchange, and the process of cultural acculturation. This study confirms that the pre-Islamic period was not just a transitional period, but was an important phase in the formation of the social and cultural identity of Arab society. The findings of this research provide a significant contribution to understanding the complexity of the history of the Arab region, as well as dismantling conventional narratives that tend to simplify the social dynamics of that period.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of grit in academic procrastination among students at private universities in Jakarta. Grit, as defined by Duckworth (2016, in Utanto & Satiningsih, 2022), is the combination of passion and perseverance to achieve long-term goals. Meanwhile, academic procrastination is defined by Balkis (2013, in Sartika & Nirbita, 2021) as the irrational tendency to delay completing academic tasks. The study employed a quantitative method with a correlational design to investigate the relationship between the two variables. Data were collected from 352 students at private universities in Jakarta through a questionnaire. Academic procrastination was measured using an instrument based on Ferrari’s (1995) theory, while grit was measured using the Short Grit Scale (Grit-S) developed by Duckworth and Quinn. This research used a correlational study with a quantitative approach, including two variables: grit as the independent variable and academic procrastination as the dependent variable. Spearman's correlation analysis was employed, and the results showed an r-value of -0.549 and p = 0.000 < 0.05. This indicates that the higher the level of grit a student possesses, the lower their level of academic procrastination. These findings suggest that characteristics such as perseverance and consistency in pursuing goals can help students reduce their tendency to procrastinate on academic tasks. The study provides significant implications for the development of intervention programs in universities aimed at enhancing students’ grit, helping them better manage their time, and improving academic performance. Additionally, the findings contribute to the literature on educational psychology, particularly in the context of private university students in Jakarta.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low interest in reading of young children in Bustanul Wildan's play group, which had an impact on the low interest in reading among the students. This research aims to find out how to develop interest in reading in early childhood in Bustanul Wildan's play group through the school literacy movement. This research is a descriptive qualitative study with the aim of examining the reading interest of young children in Bustanul Wildan's play group through the school literacy movement. Data collection techniques use interviews, observation and documentation. The objects of this research are school principals, teachers and parents of students for the 2023/2024 academic year. The results of this research show that the existence of a school literacy movement activity program can increase young children's interest in reading. The school literacy movement carried out in Bustanul Wildan's play group includes Story Telling activities, raed aloud activities, reading corner activities and Wall Sticker activities. The supporting factors for these literacy movement activities are that adequate facilities play an important role for children who have a high interest in reading, starting from varied reading books, comfortable places to study, and good gadgets, plus parental assistance in guiding them effectively. Being full can make children have high enthusiasm because they feel there is more support from their parents.
