Abstract

The importance of firm value represents a key rationale for investors to invest in a company. A firm with a high firm value provides a positive signal to potential investors, indicating a favorable investment environment. Factors such as profitability and liquidity can affect firm value. The principal aim of this research is to examine the relationship between firm value, profitability, and liquidity, with particular consideration given to the mediating effect of capital structure. This research employs a quantitative methodology and utilizes a total sample of 17 companies. The data analysis employed in this study makes use of SmartPLS 3.0 software. Based on the results of this study, firm value is not affected by profitability and liquidity because it shows p value > 0.05, specifically 0.344 and 0.073. Firm value is influenced by capital structure with p value 0.014, which in turn is influenced by profitability with p value 0.026. After the capital structure functions as a mediation, the p value shows a value of 0.046, which means that profitability affects the value of technology companies listed on the IDX for the 2020-2022 period. However, the relationship between liquidity and firm value shows a p value of 0.225 that means capital structure does not appear capable of mediating the relationship between liquidity and firm value.

Abstract

This journal discusses about the current condition of Defense Industry in Indonesia, the strategic role of the private sector in enhancing Indonesia's national security through its participation in the defense industry. The main focus of the research using this literature study is to analyze the positive impact of private sector involvement in optimizing resources, technology and innovation to strengthen national defense resilience. Private defense companies can also be a source of raising funds both from abroad and domestically to build production infrastructure, finance research and development, which is able to develop domestic defense industry capabilities and have a positive impact on national resilience. The development of private companies in the defense sector can have other positive effects, namely giving rise to competition in procurement contracts which are usually dominated by state-owned companies and large international defense companies, so that the contract process can run with more options but still be produced. domestically. Based on defensenews data, the majority of the top one hundred defense companies are private companies, this is one of the considerations in building Indonesian national resilience, especially in developing defense technology that has global competitiveness. By highlighting the benefits of collaboration between government and the private sector, this journal contributes to designing policies that support effective integration between the two. The results of this research can serve as a basis for strengthening strategic partnerships and achieving more resilient national security goals.

Abstract

The geographical location of the University of Defense in Bogor Regency, Citereup Sub-district, Bogor, West Java, is a sloping terrain that can potentially cause landslides. The InaRISK map released by BNPB, shows that the Defense University is located in an area of Bogor Regency that is prone to disasters, especially landslides. Disaster risk assessment is an approach to show the potential negative impacts that may arise due to a potential disaster. The potential negative impacts are calculated based on the level of vulnerability and capacity of the area. This potential negative impact is seen from the potential number of people exposed, property loss, and environmental damage (PERKA BNPB, 2012). Researchers conducted an analysis of landslide and earthquake disaster vulnerability at the University of Defense. A study of building and population vulnerability to potential earthquakes and landslides was conducted at the University of Defense. The components of social vulnerability at the University of Defense in the event of an earthquake and landslide were obtained. Researchers obtained data on population capacity and building conditions at the University of Defense. Landslide and earthquake disaster risks have the potential to occur at the University of Defense. The University of Defense has the potential threat of landslides because the buildings of the University of Defense are located on hilly slopes. The vulnerability of the University of Defense buildings, the University of Defense buildings have not been designed to be entirely earthquake resistant. This can be seen in some buildings that have visible cracks. It is necessary to retrofit or strengthen the foundations of buildings in the Defense University area that have experienced a decrease in performance such as cracking, shifting, displacement. An important component where the University community and students need self-protection and rescue skills through training.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify a plan for sustaining and growing MNCTV news stations' share and rating. This television news station has been around for around 27 years and is still going strong. Despite the fact that the generation at this news station has shifted, this is inextricably linked to the outstanding program rating/share and has a tendency to remain steady. Descriptive qualitative research methodology is used to gather detailed information about the chief editor and three executives involved in news programs. The findings demonstrated that from pre-production to post-production, the editorial team holds regular meetings. Reporters with specialized knowledge of the issue being covered are provided access to all of the materials reviewed during the editorial meeting. Additionally, they stay up to date with technology advancements to improve the screen. To improve the on-screen presentation, news anchors are frequently swapped out for younger, more intelligent candidates. As the times change, news is also posted to official social media profiles on platforms like YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok.

Abstract

Bringing recent research highlights into the classroom has drawn an intense amount of interest because it can show students what are being discovered, especially those anti-COVID-19 works. Therefore, we aim to study the feasibility and share the thoughts on the relevant innovation in education during the pandemic of COVID-19. To do so, we first examine participants’ (consisting of bachelor, master and PhD students at different universities) attitudes of towards the inclusion of anti-COVID-19 related research highlights into the classroom via the survey questionnaires. It is found that students mostly preferred such an innovative move. We then feature multiple anti-COVID-19 research highlights, ranging from the anti-fog materials, new inhalation treatment approach, antiviral 2D materials, efficiency enhancement of mask materials, rapid detection methods to vaccine development. Next, we elaborate the class design such as contents, objectives, difficulty level and learning outcomes with two specific examples. Lastly, suggestions for better implementation of including anti-COVID-19 related research highlights into the classroom are provided. The findings of this study can help universities and teachers to further improve the class design, thereby creating strong anti-COVID-19 related theory-practice linkages for students.

Abstract

Within the framework of GCG research, a company's value is an indicator of how well its performance and sustainability are assessed from the viewpoints of investors and shareholders. The study examines how corporate social responsibility disclosure (CSR) and effective corporate governance practices (GCG), including the presence of an audit committee, institutional ownership, and managerial ownership, influence firm value.  Additionally, it explores the moderating effects of these factors on the relationship between CSR, GCG, and firm value. To determine the relationship between variables, this study uses a quantitative approach method where data is collected in the form of numbers and analyzed using the Eviews application. The study encompassed all mining corporations that were publicly listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) between 2020 and 2022. Purposive sampling was used for sampling, and resulted in a research sample of 99 companies. There is no discernible impact on managerial ownership, institutional ownership, and the presence of an audit committee regarding the moderated relationship between CSR and firm value because the probability value of the interaction between IO and CSR 0.9582 > 0.05, AC and CSR 0.8528 > 0.05, and MO and CSR 0.6689 > 0.05 more than 0.05. Thus, hypotheses H4, H5, and H6 which predict that MO, IO, and AC will have an impact on firm value when moderated by CSR are not proven correct based on the test results. The study results validate that institutional and managerial ownership positively impact firm value in a significant manner, whereas the audit committee exerts a positive yet statistically insignificant influence.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of Islamic work ethic, transformational leadership style, and emotional intelligence on organizational commitment within the Al Bahjah Cirebon Formal Education Division. The population comprises all permanent teachers in the division, with a sample of 146 respondents selected for quantitative research. The data were collected via a questionnaire and analyzed using Smart PLS version 3.0. The findings indicate that an Islamic work ethic has a statistically significant impact on organizational commitment (t-statistic: 2.992, P-value: 0.003). Additionally, the transformational leadership style was found to have a positive effect on organizational commitment (t-statistic: 2.042, P-value: 0.042). 3) Emotional intelligence significantly contributes to organizational commitment (t-statistic: 2.251, P-value: 0.025). Collectively, these factors influence organizational commitment, with a coefficient of determination (R Square adjusted) indicating that they account for 30.2% of the variance. This suggests that while these three factors are important, 69.8% of the variance in organizational commitment is due to other variables not covered in this study.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine how employee retention in Indonesian ports is impacted by workload, work-life balance, and safety. The study makes use of primary data and a quantitative methodology. The study's 200 participants are Pelabuhan Indonesia employees. Saturated samples, or sampling strategies that use the entire population as a sample, are the method used in this study. Questionnaires are used to collect data. According to the study's findings, (1) workload is somewhat positively correlated with employee retention (tcalculate > ttable), meaning that (3.261 > 1.65259), with a significance level of 0.01. (2) With a significance level of 0.012, partial work balance has a positive impact on employee retention (tcount > ttable), resulting in (2.533 > 1.6529). (3) There is a partial positive relationship between work safety and employee retention (tcalculate > ttable), resulting in (2.414 > 1.6529) with a significance level of 0.017. (4) Employee retention (Fhitung>Ftabel), or (10.261 > 3.04), is influenced (simultaneously) by workload, work balance, and work safety, with a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05. Based on the research findings, it can be inferred that the workload variable positively affects employee retention in the Port of Indonesia company, as does work balance
