Abstract

The territory of Indonesia is a high level of earthquake risk among several earthquake areas around the world. One way to reduce the occurrence of potential damage to building construction is to utilize waste and metal as added material from coarse and fine aggregate to the flexural strength of beams that have equivalent flexural strength. The equivalent flexural strength value tends to increase with the addition of metal fibers. This study aims to determine the effect of adding metal fibers to the flexural strength of the beam and the pattern of cracks and collapse mechanisms that occur in the beam when the object is tested. This research is a type of quantitative research with physical laboratory experimental methods. The data collection method used is a preliminary study, The selection of the type of aggregate and metal fiber and secondary data were then carried out laboratory tests for the gradation of fine aggregate and coarse aggregate. The data analysis technique is linear regression analysis in the Ms. program. Excell to determine the effect of metal fibers as additives on the flexural strength of the mixing of coarse and fine aggregates.

Abstract

The optimal development of adolescents depends on the harmony of family communication, especially mothers as caregivers. Disputes between mothers and adolescents often occur and trigger fights and adolescent aggressive behavior that stretches family interactions. Communication contributes significantly to the development of teenage behavior; it can be explored based on the mother's experience as a caregiver. This study examines in-depth mothers' experiences in communicating with their adolescent children. Participants in this qualitative study using a phenomenological approach were mothers who lived with their teenage children, a total of 11 participants. The determination of participants was done by applying a purposive sampling technique. The conclusion of the number of samples is based on the saturation of the results of in-depth interviews conducted using video call technology. The Colaizzi method with the Haase adaptation was applied in analyzing the results of in-depth interviews that had been recorded to make it easier when compiling the transcript. Four themes have been generated in this study: The fabric of family love as a communication goal, undeniable dependence on communication, Vulnerability to give each other space to face communication challenges and the need for space and time to explore the importance of good communication. To ensure the trustworthiness of the research results, peer debriefing and member checking are carried out. It is necessary to have a common perception between mothers and adolescents in understanding the importance of Communication and instilling family commitments consistently by paying attention to the youth's freedom of opinion which must be optimally utilized according to the developmental tasks of adolescence.

Abstract

The background of this research is that there has not been a habit of using academic information systems by both lecturers and students, there are no educational staff from the field of computer science or informatics, and the limited budget they have. This research approach is a qualitative research with case study method. The results of this study indicate that academic information system planning refers to the blue print for the development, management and utilization of higher education information systems. The organization assigns a direct assistant to the Head of Academic and Student Affairs who is assisted by two operators, whose operational direction is based on a decree issued by the leadership which is fully managed by the Telecommunications Center. Coordination of academic information systems based on the participation and support of all parties. Control is carried out directly by the Chairman as the leader. The obstacles faced in general are that there is no budget available considering the need for the development of an Academic Information System that requires a large amount of money, the age of most of the lecturers is old so it is quite difficult to adapt to changes towards digital and the ability of lecturers to use information systems is still low. The solution is to encourage students and lecturers to want to get used to adapting and learning in the use of academic information systems
