Abstract

This study aims to strengthen several aspects of religious character in children through the learning method of reading the Ummi Al-Qur'an. The research method used is a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis of a number of children who participated in learning to read the Qur'an with the Ummi method in private homes. In addition, data were also obtained from parents or guardians of students, teaching teachers, and related literature. The results showed that learning to read the Qur'an with the Ummi method in private homes has a positive influence on strengthening children's religious character in Probolinggo City. This approach not only emphasizes on fluent reading skills, but also on deep understanding and full application of Islamic teaching. This approach has proven effective in overcoming some of the obstacles that arise in the process of learning the Qur'an, such as difficulties in reciting fluently, lack of understanding of religious material, lack of motivation, and lack of knowledge about religious aspects. This research makes a positive contribution to the development of Qur'an learning methods that focus more on strengthening children's religious character in the family environment.

Abstract

This mixed-methods study explores how digital storytelling (DST) fosters metacognition and influences college students' views on critical literacy in the digital age. Sixty students from Institut Studi Islam Muhammadiyah Pacitan, Indonesia, participated in a DST-based activity designed to promote literary analysis. Surveys and interviews before and after the intervention examined changes in students' metacognitive awareness and perspectives on DST's role in enhancing critical literacy. Findings showed notable improvements in students’ metacognitive processes and understanding of critical literacy following DST engagement. Quantitative results indicated increased recognition of DST’s ability to support personalized learning (mean scores rose from 3.6 to 4.12) and critical thinking skills (mean scores rose from 3.05 to 3.85). Qualitative data revealed that DST interaction encouraged deeper metacognitive reflection, making students more aware of their thought processes during analysis. Students also broadened their views of critical literacy to include DST literacy, emphasizing the importance of evaluating and effectively using digital tools. Privacy concerns decreased, but students retained an awareness of ethical issues linked to DST-based learning. This study highlights DST’s potential as a tool for promoting metacognition and redefining critical literacy. It calls for integrating DST into curricula and teacher training to enhance reflective learning and digital literacy.

Abstract

The development of technology, particularly information technology, has brought significant changes to social behavior. The rapid growth of information technology has altered old social patterns and structures. This change is marked by shifts in interaction patterns, lifestyles, behaviors, perspectives, ways of living, and social orientations. It is worth exploring religious leaders can strive to maintain religious harmony amidst the rapid advancement of information technology. The research method used in this study will be literature research. This literature research will focus on textbook analysis. The research will involve a comprehensive analysis of works discussing the relationship between information technology and religion. The rapid advancement of information and communication technology has accelerated social changes in various fields. An important phenomenon to observe is the fading of values, including religious, cultural, and national values. Society tends to neglect moral values when engaging in social media, focusing instead on what can go viral and generate profit. It is imperative for religious leaders to enter the digital technology realm to carry out their sacred role of delivering messages of morality and goodness, ensuring that religious harmony remains strong. In this context, it's important to involve and provide space for young generation to play a role.

This research is included in the qualitative research category and uses description techniques to explain the deeper significance of reality. Data collection techniques used include interviews, observation, and documentation. In conclusion, cultivating the values of moderation has an important role in creating a harmonious, tolerant, just and peaceful society. By practicing the middle stance, individuals can achieve balance in various aspects of life and avoid destructive extremism. It is hoped that instilling the values of Moderation can become an integral part of individual and community life. Abstract

This research aims to examine the role of Aisyiyah in early childhood education (PAUD) and efforts to instill Islamic values from an early age in Indonesia through a qualitative approach using the case study method. The research focuses on PAUD institutions' management, curriculum development, and the teaching methods applied. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation at several Aisyiyah PAUD institutions in various regions in Indonesia. The research results show that Aisyiyah focuses on cognitive aspects and integrates character education and Islamic values into the curriculum. An Islamic and conducive learning environment is also created to support learning. This research also highlights the challenges Aisyiyah faces in implementing Islamic education in the modern era, such as limited resources and the influence of modern technology. Nevertheless, Aisyiyah overcame this challenge through various educational and social programs that strengthened her commitment to community development and education based on Islamic values. This research's findings can significantly contribute to developing Islamic-based early childhood education in Indonesia. Islamic religious education, starting from an early age, has a crucial role in shaping children's character and morals, ensuring they grow into individuals with strong moral and spiritual integrity.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of studies on the implementation of the independent curriculum in Islamic Religious Education. Integrating the independent curriculum with Islamic Religious Education requires compatibility between the two, such as mandatory aspects of the project to strengthen the Pancasila student profile and dimensional aspects and scope of Islamic Religious Education. This research methodology is a qualitative literature type, using a grounded theory approach which is useful as a medium for integrating the two research subjects. The results of this research include the internalization of the independent curriculum in Indonesia regarding the dimensions and scope of Islamic Religious Education, consisting of its adaptive nature, as well as being oriented towards essential material, guided by the values of Islamic teachings, with an emphasis on moral education, as in strengthening Pancasila student profile. Process is supported by the role and participation of stakeholders as well as the use of information technology; (4) Assessments are carried out both routinely and at the end of the program to minimize errors accumulating at the end of the program. Efforts to improve the program are carried out by considering impacts and prioritizing results.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the differences in problem-solving abilities between students who receive teaching through a problem-based learning approach supported by teaching aids and students who receive direct teaching in statistics subjects in class VIII. This research method is quantitative, and it applies a repeated experimental research type with a research design (pre-test-post-test control group design). This research was conducted at MTs Ma'arif Roudhotut Tholibin with samples of classes VIII A and VIII B. Data collection instruments were assessment validation sheets, pre-test and post-test sheets and documentation. The data analysis technique used is the Independent samples t-test. This research shows that the average score for students who used the problem-based learning model with statistics board teaching aids was 81.30, and the student's group who used the direct learning model was 59.80. Thus, descriptively, it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between the problem-solving abilities of the students group who use the problem-based learning model with statistics board teaching aids and the students group who use the direct learning model.
