Abstract

Sometimes, it is easy for students to feel bored during the learning process. The saturation experienced by students can be caused by the large amount of material that must be mastered, one of which is Three-Dimensional material. In elementary school, mathematics is generally a less desirable subject. Therefore, elementary school teachers need to package it using learning media that are in accordance with students' character. This community services seeks to trace the effective learning media applied in 5th grade of SDN 2 Palaan through a descriptive approach and inductively analysis. The result is that the SALAM learning media "Snake & Ladder Math" is an appropriate learning media for Three-Dimensional material.

Abstract

Marriage is an attempt to unite two people in one family and aims to achieve a sakinah, mawaddah, wa rahmah household life. This goal is achieved if the two people who enter into a marriage have the insight, readiness, and skills needed. To prepare for this, pre-marital counseling is needed which is carried out by the Office of Religious Affairs (KUA). However, in fact, premarital counseling is not running optimally. This article aims to explain efforts to improve pre-marital counseling to minimize divorce cases in Kediri. The method used is a qualitative method with data collection techniques in the form of interviews. Meanwhile, efforts to improve pre-marital counseling are carried out using seminars, lectures, and focused group discussion (FGD) methods. The result of this dedication is increased awareness and insight to improve the quality and quantity of pre-marital counseling, both the KUA and the bride and groom. The hope, divorce cases can be suppressed.

Abstract

This service aims to help trauma recovery after the Cianjur earthquake, precisely in Cibulakan Village, Cugenang District, Cianjur Regency. In this activity, children become the focus of devotion because they are considered the most vulnerable victims. They lose the environment that should be a daily life to grow and develop, so this underlies the importance of this devotion so that these children can still live their lives as before. The service is carried out by carrying out psychological handling efforts in the form of trauma healing through psychosocial activities based on local culture based on the results of initial observations that have been carried out previously supported by information that shows that children in the village like games, especially traditional games. The result of this devotion is that the enthusiasm and enthusiasm of the children grow again and their joy in living daily life begins to return to normal, even though previously they were faced with very stressful circumstances and even destroyed their mentality.

Abstract

This program aims to provide experience, information and new knowledge related to the use of basic English during marketing results by the Gita Tambora Tourism Ambassador UMKM sector group, in Dusun Pamulung. The institutions participating in the community service activities are the Kencana Beach Cottages Travel Agency, the Postgraduate School of the Sumbawa University of Technology (UTS), the Sumbawa Islamic College (STAIS), and the UMKM Group Gita Tambora Tourism Ambassador with assistance for a certain period. The activity was carried out 5 February 2023, 24 February 2023 and 10 March 2023. There were five stages, namely; 1) survey activities; 2) interviewing; 3) setting up the sales area; 4) providing basic English communication; and 5) getting ready to serve guests. The results of these activities are: 1) travel agencies gain the trust of the tourism market; 2) Lecturers and students can implement their knowledge and experience; and 3) MSME groups can increase new knowledge regarding how to communicate using basic English with foreign guests. In addition, it will be increasing the economic value from sales suvenirs they sell.

Abstract

Qurban is the slaughter of livestock to get closer to Allah Almighty on Eid al-Adha on the 10th of Dhul-Hijjah and the days of Tasyriq (11th, 12th, 13th of Dhul-Hijjah). The majority of Indonesia's population is Muslim. A Muslim needs to spend some money to buy sacrificial animals. The problems raised in this service activity were related to the implementation of socialization to strengthen sacrificial motivation to TKIT parents, Mrs. Jatipuro. This activity aims to provide motivation and to find out the parents' understanding of the Sharia and the law of sacrifice. The service method used is Participatory Action Research (PAR), by conducting socialization activities regarding the motivation for sacrifice to the parents of TKIT Ibu students. This activity is carried out through three stages, namely (1) the preparation stage, (2) the implementation stage, and (3) the evaluation stage. The purpose of this devotion is to invite parents to perform sacrifices. This activity is quite important to do because it is to provide an understanding of the fiqh of sacrifice to parents of students. The results of this activity show an increase in understanding of the material conveyed by the servant to the student's guardian. Suggestions for this activity hopefully can be carried out in the following years to provide an understanding of sacrifice to parents of students and so that parents want to make sacrifices at school.

Abstract

Dukuh Kandangan, in Tempuran Temanggung Village, consists of 130 families consisting of Christians, Muslims and Buddhists and live in harmony. The livelihoods of the majority are farmers and traditional ranchers. This community service is a form of support for strengthening religious moderation by empowering the community's economy based on socio-religious funds. Asset-based community development is used as a basis for the development of economic-based community empowerment. This approach focuses on developing community-based assets to support activities. This activity began with a focus group discussion (FGD) with academics to discuss the potential for community-based economic development in Temanggung. The results of this FGD were used to carry out interventions in the form of giving livestock which were managed by the community of three different religions in Dukuh Kandangan. These livestock become community assets to be jointly managed and used for the benefit of community capacity building.

Abstract

The Highest Educations is one of the elements of the country which is expected to be able to realize the nation's ideals to elevate the dignity of the Indonesian nation. There are three points in the Tri Dharma of Highest Educations, namely: Education, Research and Community Service. Student Work Lecture (KKM) activities are based on social interactions involving various elements of society. It is hoped that this activity will be beneficial for the local community, while also requiring students to provide long-term solutions so as to reduce similar problems. In implementing KKM, research is carried out through data collection techniques from observation and documentation of social situations, where the data is obtained in exploration activities in the community environment and the impact of the KKM program provided on the community. Based on data analysis, the technique used is analysis with a descriptive approach through the data obtained, then processed based on research objectives and then filtered based on situations and phenomena in society with similar data contexts. As a result, a number of programs were carried out in accordance with community needs, such as: qiraah training, creating of reading corners, learning media, etc. It is hoped that this activity will be useful for development and empowerment in accordance with community potential.

Abstract

This mentoring activity aims to increase the knowledge and abilities of RA teachers in Temanggung Regency in writing scientific papers and publications, as well as improve their skills in writing scientific papers. The implementation of this community service uses the participatory learning and action (PLA) method, which is carried out offline. Participatory Learning and Action (PLA) is a learning method with participatory practice. The service participants were 17 Raudhatul Athfal teachers in Temanggung Regency. The results of the service show that there is an increase in teacher knowledge about how to write scientific journals and how to publish them. This can be seen in the results of the pretest and posttest of the activities given before and after they are carried out.

Abstract

Floods occur due to rainfall that is high enough so that the water level rises above normal limits and overflows into residential areas. Floods can occur regardless of time, so there is a need to increase public awareness of floods. In the environment around the Krisnadwipayana University, namely, Jaticempaka Village, Bekasi, which is one of the public service partners, floods often occur due to the overflow of the Sunter River. Based on surveys and monitoring, the lack of public awareness of Jaticempaka Village, Bekasi, regarding flood disasters due to the lack of a system or device that can detect the high water level in the Sunter River, which causes flooding. Therefore, lecturers and students of the Electrical Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, Krisnadwipayana University were inspired to participate with carrying out public service, namely by making and installing a flood detection device that can detect water level levels at the Sunter River using an Atmega 8535 microcontroller and an ESP8266 MCU node. It is hoped that by installing the flood detection device, the public of Jaticempaka Village, Bekasi, can obtain information about the water level of the Sunter River, so that can increase public awareness of flood disasters.

Abstract

Learning difficulties are a major problem in the learning process, especially in learning mathematics. This is felt by several students in class XI MIA 2 MAN 1 Sungai Penuh, where there are several students who have difficulty in understanding mathematical concepts, difficulty in acquiring the ability to read, write, or speak fluently and effectively, and limited learning time. Therefore. this mentoring aims to help individuals achieve better learning outcomes. With learning assistance, it is hoped that they can overcome the difficulties or obstacles they face in understanding the material. The mentoring method consists of three stages, namely preparation or preliminary study, implementation of mentoring and evaluation of activities. Assistance is provided to 5 students who need assistance because of their poor understanding of the material being studied. From the results of the assistance, it was found that math learning assistance greatly helped students in understanding and mastering mathematical concepts through more focused explanations and individualized support.
