Abstract

This research aims to analyze the implementation of the Planning Generation Program (GenRe) in an effort to reduce the rate of early marriage in Tegalsiwalan District, Probolinggo Regency. The phenomenon of early marriage is one of the social problems that still occurs in the region, having a negative impact on the welfare of children and families. The GenRe program was initiated as a strategic step by the government to provide education and guidance to teenagers as they approach the age of marriage, as well as prepare for family life thoroughly. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data was obtained through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation studies from various related parties, such as youth program participants, GenRe facilitators, and local government authorities. Edward III's Policy Implementation Theory is used to analyze the factors that influence the success of program implementation, which include communication, resources, disposition, and bureaucratic structure. The research results show that the implementation of the GenRe Program in Tegalsiwalan District is generally effective, but still faces several obstacles, such as limited resources and support from the community. Nevertheless, this program has had a positive impact in reducing the rate of early marriage in the region, especially through increasing awareness and knowledge among teenagers about the importance of planning for the future.

Abstract

This research explores the Mbaba Kampil tradition in Karo traditional marriage, focusing on intercultural communication. Using a qualitative approach, this study collected data through in- depth interviews and participatory observation. The results show that Mbaba Kampil is not just a ritual, but also a powerful symbol of cultural identity, which strengthens relationships between families from different cultures. The procession serves as a cultural bridge, bridging the differences between Karo people and couples from other cultural backgrounds. Although there are challenges in communication, such as differences in language and cultural understanding, values such as respect, responsibility and mutual appreciation help create harmonious relationships. Despite challenges such as language differences, Karo society has shown significant adaptability without sacrificing cultural identity. Mbaba Kampil remains relevant and valued by the younger generation to serve as a tool for preserving cultural identity. This research can contribute to understanding the dynamics of cultural identity and intercultural communication in the context of traditional marriage.

Abstract

Halal certification in Indonesia plays a very important role in ensuring that products in circulation meet Islamic religious requirements, especially in the food, medicine, cosmetics, and other product sectors. The Halal Assurance System (HAS) 23000, developed by LPPOM MUI, aims to ensure that the entire halal product production process, from raw material procurement to distribution, is in accordance with Islamic sharia principles. Although this system provides structured guidelines, its implementation faces various challenges, such as lack of understanding by business actors, limited skilled human resources, and the costs and time required in the certification process. This paper aims to analyze the implementation of HAS 23000 by LPPOM MUI, the challenges faced, and its contribution to ensuring the halalness of products. With a qualitative approach and literature study, the results of the study indicate that despite the major challenges faced, the implementation of HAS 23000 is important to improve the quality and competitiveness of Indonesian halal products in the global market.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the application of Islamic economic principles in contemporary economic systems, focusing on their contribution to reducing socio-economic inequality, exploitation, and environmental degradation. The basic principles of Islamic economics, such as justice (al-'Adl), equality (al-Musawah), and moral behavior (al-Akhlaq), offer an alternative to the capitalist economic system by emphasizing wealth redistribution, sustainability, and social responsibility. This study uses a literature study method to analyze various relevant sources, including journal articles, books, research reports, and related policies. The results show that the application of Islamic economic principles, through instruments such as zakat, waqf, and Islamic banking, can reduce social inequality and improve people's welfare. However, the main challenges faced are inefficient management and limited implementation outside Muslim-majority countries. This study suggests the need for increased transparency in the management of zakat and waqf, as well as the expansion of the application of the Islamic banking system in the global economy. Overall, Islamic economic principles have great potential to create a more just, sustainable, and socially welfare-based economic system.

Abstract

The halal industry in Southeast Asia, particularly in Indonesia and Thailand, has grown rapidly while adhering to Islamic sharia principles. This article compares the development of the halal sector in both countries, focusing on government policies, halal certification strategies, and challenges faced in entering the global market. Indonesia, as the country with the largest Muslim population, holds an important position in the global halal market. The mandatory halal certification policy implemented since 2019 by BPJPH aims to increase the competitiveness of Indonesian halal products. Meanwhile, Thailand, despite its predominantly non-Muslim population, has succeeded in developing its halal market, particularly in the halal food export sector, with support from the Central Islamic Council of Thailand (CICOT). This study uses a comparative analysis method based on secondary data obtained from government reports, industry studies, and academic articles. The results of the study are expected to provide insights that can support the development of halal policies in both countries, as well as provide recommendations for other countries wishing to develop their halal industries.
