Abstract

Futsal is a high-intensity intermittent sport that requires agility for rapid changes of direction and effective ball dribbling. Nutritional status, reflected by body mass index (BMI), may influence players’ agility. This study aimed to examine the association between BMI and agility among Hupernako FC U-15 futsal players. An analytic observational cross-sectional study was conducted involving 20 players aged 12–15 years selected through purposive sampling. BMI was calculated from body mass and height (kg/m²), while agility was assessed using the Illinois Agility Test. The association was analyzed using the chi-square test. The results showed a significant association between BMI category and agility (p=0.042). Conclusion: BMI is significantly related to agility in Hupernako FC U-15 futsal players; maintaining an optimal BMI should be considered in performance development.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the contribution of artificial intelligence (AI) use in supporting students’ critical thinking skills across the cognitive levels of Bloom’s taxonomy. A descriptive quantitative survey design was employed. Data were collected using a 20-item questionnaire administered via Google Forms to 45 students. Descriptive analysis was conducted by summarizing and reporting the proportion of responses for each Bloom level (remembering, understanding, applying, analyzing, evaluating). The results show that the highest proportion occurs at the understanding level (26.7%), followed by analyzing (22.2%), evaluating (20.0%), applying (17.8%), and remembering (13.3%). These findings indicate that students tend to use AI more to comprehend learning materials and break down information than merely to recall facts. The study concludes that AI can function as a learning partner that supports critical thinking processes—particularly at the understanding and analyzing levels—provided that its use is guided pedagogically to align with instructional goals.

Abstract

Digital literacy is a foundational competence for junior high school students as learning increasingly relies on digital platforms; however, empirical evidence identifying which measurable factors most strongly drive post-training improvement remains limited. This study aims to determine key predictors of digital literacy gains after structured training and to develop a predictive model that classifies improvement into three levels (low, moderate, high). Data were collected from 200 junior high school students who participated in a structured program in digital marketing and graphic design, comprising pre-test and post-test scores, participation indicators, learning motivation, and frequency of digital tool use. After data cleaning, transformation, and feature encoding, a Random Forest classifier was trained to model improvement categories. Model performance was assessed using an 80:20 train–test split and stratified five-fold cross-validation, reporting accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, and confusion matrix analysis. The model achieved 78% accuracy and exhibited its strongest and most stable performance in the high-improvement category, while minority categories showed reduced sensitivity, suggesting the influence of class imbalance.

Abstract

Deep learning–based face recognition is widely adopted due to its strong performance, yet its susceptibility to attacks—particularly adversarial attacks—poses critical risks to the security and reliability of biometric systems. This study presents a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) to synthesize evidence on performance, vulnerabilities, and defense strategies in deep learning–based face recognition. The review follows PRISMA guidelines, including literature retrieval from reputable scholarly sources, deduplication, title/abstract screening, and full-text eligibility assessment based on predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria. Study quality is examined through critical appraisal, and findings are synthesized using thematic analysis, yielding four major themes: (1) model performance and factors influencing accuracy, (2) attack types and their impact on recognition outcomes, (3) defense mechanisms and their effectiveness, and (4) real-world deployment constraints (e.g., illumination, pose, image quality, and identity scale). The synthesis indicates that high accuracy does not necessarily imply high robustness; several defenses (e.g., adversarial training, attack detection, and robust learning) can improve resilience but may introduce trade-offs in computational cost and/or accuracy. This review provides a comparative synthesis and a conceptual model linking accuracy–attacks–defenses, and offers practical recommendations for model selection and security evaluation design. Limitations include heterogeneity in datasets and experimental protocols, inconsistent reporting metrics, and potential publication bias

Abstract

This study aims to examine the forms of integration between Islamic spirituality and the cultural traditions of the Bromo community as a model of socio-religious harmony in a multicultural setting. Employing a qualitative approach with an ethnographic method, the study explores the social, symbolic, and spiritual values embedded in the religious and customary practices of the Bromo community, particularly among the Muslim Tengger group. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews with 12 key informants consisting of religious leaders, traditional leaders, and community members, as well as documentation of local traditions. The findings indicate that the integration of Islam and local culture operates through three main pillars: spiritual engagement, defined as the active participation of Muslim community members in local spiritual rituals and communal religious life; cultural negotiation, referring to the process of reinterpreting indigenous traditions to align with Islamic teachings; and communal harmony, which denotes patterns of social interaction based on cooperation and mutual respect across religious boundaries. Rituals such as Kasada and earth alms (sedekah bumi), historically rooted in pre-Islamic traditions, are practiced by Muslim Tengger communities through adjusted meanings as expressions of gratitude to Allah and as forms of cultural da‘wah. In everyday social life, Islamic values such as ukhuwah, ikhlas, and rahmah coexist with Tengger cultural values of rukun, tepo seliro, and ajining diri, as reflected in inclusive social relations oriented toward shared communal well-being. These findings describe a form of contextual spirituality that demonstrates the integration of religious values and local wisdom as a foundation for the practice of religious moderation in mountainous communities.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of financial literacy on the spending behavior of Bank Indonesia Scholarship recipients at Universitas Nurul Jadid (UNUJA). The research employs a quantitative associative-causal approach with a sample of 80 scholarship recipients from 2023–2025. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using simple linear regression with SPSS version 26. The results show that the financial literacy variable has a t-value of -1.344, lower than the t-table value of 2.012, with a significance level of 0.185 (> 0.05). This indicates that financial literacy has a negative but insignificant effect on students’ spending behavior. It implies that students’ financial understanding has not been fully reflected in their actual financial practices, as social factors, lifestyle, and campus environment still influence their spending patterns. This study highlights the need for more practical and value-based financial literacy programs so that scholarship recipients not only understand financial concepts but also apply them wisely and responsibly in daily life.

Abstract

This study presents a Systematic Literature Review (2019–2025) comparing the performance of Decision Tree and Neural Network (Deep Learning) models, alongside their relative performance against Naive Bayes and Support Vector Machine (SVM). The review synthesizes empirical findings across multiple application domains—including healthcare, education, industry, and finance—focusing on commonly reported classification metrics such as accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score. The synthesis indicates that Decision Trees are frequently preferred for structured/tabular data due to their high interpretability and transparent decision rules, which are valuable for accountable decision-making. In contrast, Neural Networks/Deep Learning tend to outperform on unstructured data (e.g., medical images and text) and complex non-linear patterns, albeit often with reduced explainability. In several studies, Naive Bayes remains competitive as a lightweight baseline, while SVM continues to be effective for high-dimensional feature spaces and specific classification settings. Overall, the review highlights that algorithm selection should be driven by data characteristics, problem complexity, interpretability requirements, and computational constraints, since no single algorithm consistently dominates across all scenarios.

Abstract

Digital transformation in Indonesian universities requires reliable identity and access management as more campus systems are introduced. At Universitas Nurul Jadid (UNUJA), this study identifies three main problems: (1) low user efficiency because users must log in repeatedly (average 6.8 minutes to access four systems with a 14% login error rate), (2) higher security risk due to scattered credentials and uncoordinated logout across systems, and (3) heavy administrative workload for creating and maintaining accounts in multiple applications. This research aims to design, build, and evaluate an integrated Single Sign-On (SSO) and Single Logout (SLO) solution that meets both functional and non-functional requirements in a pesantren-based university environment. A Waterfall method is applied in five stages: analysis (literature review and field study with 35 participants), design (modular architecture and UML), implementation (Laravel 12, PHP 8.3, MySQL 8.4, Redis 7.0, JWT-based authentication), testing (functional, security, performance, and extreme-scenario tests), and maintenance (monitoring with Laravel Telescope and Redis Monitor). The proposed system uses a centralized Identity Provider (IdP) that supports OpenID Connect for modern applications and SAML 2.0 for legacy systems. SLO is implemented through both front-channel and back-channel methods, supported by Redis-based token blacklisting. Test results show the system meets all functional requirements, withstands the tested security scenarios, and remains stable under load (average latency 1.2–2.1 s; P95 1.8–3.2 s; success rate 98.7–99.9%; throughput up to 850 req/s). This study contributes: (1) a “session cycle” framework that combines SSO and SLO for Indonesian higher education, (2) a mixed evaluation rubric covering technical, security, usability, and administrative metrics, and (3) practical guidance on protocol choices, legacy integration, MFA options, and SLO patterns with recovery mechanisms. The results can serve as a blueprint for other institutions facing multi-system authentication challenges.

Abstract

Limited drug permeation across the stratum corneum remains a major challenge in transdermal patch development, while integrated analyses linking physicochemical drug properties with formulation design are still scarce. This study aimed to synthesize the influence of physicochemical parameters on the effectiveness of transdermal patch systems through a descriptive analytical literature review of seven peer-reviewed articles published within the last decade. The analysis demonstrates that drugs with low molecular weight (<500 Da), optimal lipophilicity (log P 1–3), low melting point (<200°C), pKa compatible with skin pH, low polar surface area, and limited hydrogen bonding capacity exhibit considered superior transdermal permeability. Furthermore, interactions between drugs and formulation components including polymer matrices, plasticizers, and penetration enhancers were found to modulate skin permeation mechanisms and drug release profiles. This review highlights that the success of transdermal patches relies on the synergistic optimization of physicochemical drug properties and mechanism-based formulation strategies, providing a rational framework for the development of effective and clinically relevant transdermal delivery systems
