Abstract

Millennials and Generation Z in Batam City play a significant role in the local economic dynamics, particularly in investment activities. This study aims to analyze the influence of investment experience, financial behavior, and risk tolerance on investment decisions among Millennials and Gen Z. The study highlights the importance of financial literacy and experience in shaping rational investment behavior among young investors in urban economic settings. A quantitative approach was employed, utilizing Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS software for data analysis. Data were collected through an online survey using purposive sampling, involving 204 respondents residing in Batam who are actively investing in the stock market. The results indicate that investment experience significantly influences both investment decisions and risk tolerance. Similarly, financial behavior shows a significant effect on both variables. Furthermore, risk tolerance has a significant impact on investment decisions. These findings suggest that the higher the investment experience and the better the financial behavior, the greater the individual’s risk tolerance, which in turn affects their investment decisions.

Abstract

This study investigates the declining purchase intention in a restaurant ABC in North Sumatra, driven by challenges related to brand image, food quality, and facility quality. Data shows fluctuating sales revenue, with a significant drop in 2023, accompanied by negative customer reviews on parking, cleanliness, and inconsistent food quality. These phenomena highlight critical areas of concern that directly influence customer behavior. Through a quantitative approach utilizing customer questionnaires and multiple linear regression analysis, the study evaluates the impact of food quality and facility quality on purchase intention, with brand image serving as a mediator. Results indicate a positive relationship among these variables, with food quality exerting the strongest influence. The findings are contextualized against prior research to emphasize the unique challenges faced in North Sumatra. The study concludes that addressing gaps in food quality, enhancing brand image, and improving facilities can significantly boost customer purchase intention. Practical recommendations are provided to guide businesses in North Sumatra in implementing strategies for sustained growth and customer satisfaction.

Abstract

Technology is very helpful in introducing the products and services offered, providing easier access to the introduction and dissemination of wider information, promotions that can be done anytime and anywhere, and have a wide range. Shirouoshien cake shop is a business engaged in the culinary field by offering various types of cakes, both wet and dry cakes. Instagram is one of the social media that is actively used to promote the products offered and advertised with certain periodicity. The information provided is a photo of the product and writing information that is shared once every day. Promotion results are visible on the professional dashboard with information on impressions, interactions, new followers and shared content. Shirouoshien cake shop does not really utilize Ads due to limited costs and less than optimal use of paid advertising. The method used is descriptive qualitative research with a case study approach. The qualitative approach is included in naturalistic inguiry, which requires humans as a means because this research is full of naturalistic content.

Abstract

This study was designed to investigate product quality, lifestyle and WOM on purchasing decisions at La Moda restaurant located in Central Jakarta. The study population involved regular and potential consumers of La Moda in Central Jakarta. Through this study, it is expected to obtain in-depth insights into consumer preferences and perceptions of key aspects that influence their experience at this restaurant. The data collection method used was accidental sampling with the application of the Roscoe technique, and the number of samples involved reached 150 respondents. The research instrument was compiled using a Likert scale and tested through validity and reliability tests. Data analysis was carried out using multiple linear regression using SPSS 25, and was preceded by testing classical assumptions such as normality, heteroscedasticity, multicollinearity, and linearity tests. The results of the analysis showed that partially, lifestyle and WOM variables had a significant influence on purchasing decisions. Conversely, the product quality variable did not show a significant effect partially on the dependent variable. Simultaneously, the three independent variables, namely product quality (X1), lifestyle (X2), WOM (X3), influence purchasing decisions (Y).

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the perception of usefulness, convenience and risk on the interest of BRILink users in Morotai Island Regency. It is hoped that this study can provide insight and in-depth input for BRILink agents to improve consumer perceptions of the quality of service to BRILink users. The population in this study was the community on Morotai Island. They use BRILink as an alternative transaction with a sampling technique using incidental sampling technique. Sampling was carried out on 50 respondents of BRILlink users in South Morotai Regency. The research instrument was developed using a Likert scale and tested through validity and reliability tests. Data analysis was carried out using multiple linear regression in the SPSS 25 program preceded by testing the classical assumptions in the form of normality, heteroscedasticity, multicollinearity and hypothesis testing using the F test and t test. The results of the analysis show that partially the utility and risk variables have a significant effect on the dependent variable. However, in terms of perception, the convenience variable does not show a significant partial effect on the dependent variable. At the same time, perceived benefits, perceived convenience and risk have a significant partial effect on the dependent variable.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of job training on the productivity of Generation Z employees at Pizza Hut Samarinda City. In the highly competitive and dynamic fast food industry, job training is a strategic element in improving competence, work effectiveness, and competitiveness of human resources. This is increasingly important for Generation Z employees, who are known to be adaptive to technology and have different learning styles compared to previous generations. This study uses a quantitative approach with the saturation sampling method, involving 55 respondents from Generation Z who are actively working in the company. The data collection technique was carried out through a closed questionnaire with a Likert scale, and the data were analyzed using SPSS software version 27. The results showed that job training had a positive and significant effect on employee productivity, with a regression coefficient of 0.728 and a significance value of 0.000. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.528 indicates that 52.8% of the variation in employee productivity can be explained by job training. The quality of training materials and evaluation factors were identified as the most dominant aspects in increasing productivity. These findings emphasize the importance of designing relevant, digital-based training programs that are tailored to the characteristics of the younger generation. This research is expected to contribute to the development of human resources in the fast food sector and become a reference in designing effective training policies in the modern era.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the influence of cognitive and affective aspects on the academic performance of eighth-semester students in the Bachelor of Management program at the University of Muhammadiyah East Kalimantan. Academic performance is affected by various internal and external factors, and understanding these influences is critical for improving student outcomes. Cognitive aspects refer to intellectual abilities such as critical thinking, comprehension, and analytical skills, while affective aspects involve students' attitudes, motivation, and emotional regulation during the learning process. This study employs a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design. A sample of 180 students was selected using a random sampling technique. Data were collected through a questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results are expected to provide insights into how both cognitive and affective aspects impact academic performance. These findings will contribute to the development of educational theory and serve as a foundation for designing more effective teaching strategies, ultimately improving student academic achievement.

Abstract

The 3-kilogram LPG subsidy is one of Indonesia’s key fiscal policy instruments aimed at protecting the purchasing power of low-income households and micro-enterprises. However, its implementation—particularly in West Java Province—faces significant challenges, including targeting inaccuracies, budget overruns, and increasing fiscal dependency on the central government. This study aims to analyze the forms of fiscal risks arising from the 3-kg LPG subsidy policy and identify relevant fiscal risk management strategies at the regional level. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach and a case study of West Java, the findings reveal various fiscal risks such as inefficient spending, budget diversion from productive sectors, and regional budget instability. To address these challenges, the study recommends implementing targeted subsidies based on integrated socioeconomic data, strengthening digital verification systems, diversifying alternative energy sources, and enhancing fiscal transparency and local government capacity. These findings highlight the urgent need for energy subsidy reform that is more equitable, efficient, and sustainable, while preserving regional fiscal resilience amid dynamic economic pressures.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of service quality and relationship marketing on customer satisfaction at PT PLN (Persero) ULP Helvetia Medan. The effect of service quality and relationship marketing will be analyzed partially and simultaneously on customer satisfaction. The research method used is quantitative research. Data collection techniques using questionnaires distributed directly to customers of PT PLN (Persero) ULP Helvetia Medan with survey techniques. The sample in this study were 97 customers of PT PLN (Persero) ULP Helvetia Medan. The analysis method used is validity test, reliability test, classical assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis and hypothesis testing. The results of the research conducted show that the variables of service quality (X1) and relationship marketing (X2) have a significant effect on customer satisfaction (Y). So, it can be concluded that the effect of each variable simultaneously can be seen that the Fcount value is 77.993> Ftable 3.09 or sig. of 0.000 <0.05. The data is processed statistically using the SPSS program tool.

Abstract

In a leadership style, there are various leadership styles that exist today, one of which is the servant leadership style. This style is applied by the Head of RT 010, RW 003, Pela Mampang, South Jakarta as the focus of this study. This has led to the growth of satisfaction and trust of the residents of the area to re-elect him. This article uses the theory of servant leadership style with its 10 characteristics. This article also uses a qualitative research method with data collection techniques from primary sources through interviews and secondary sources from books and journals. This article concludes that Mr. Subhan as the Head of RT 010, RW 003 gained the trust of the residents and was re-elected in the RT election because he applied the servant leadership style. The characteristics include, (1) Listening, (2) Empathy, (3) Improving the Abilities of Oneself & Others, (4) Awareness of Oneself & Others, (5) Persuasion Approach, (6) Conceptualization, (7) Ability to See the Future, (8) Stewardship for Society, (9) Commitment to the Growth of Others, (10) Building Community.
