Abstract

The phenomenon of boycott against American Fastfood brands triggered by social issues has become a serious challenge in maintaining consumer Brand Trust and Purchase Intention. This study  aims to examine the influence of Brand Image, Brand Trust and Electronic Word Of Mouth on Purchase Intention during the boycott phenomenon. The research method used in Partial Lesat Square-Structured Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The method used in this study is quantitative methoid. The population in this study are customers of American fastfood brands in the Jabodetabek, so to meet the required sample, this study began with the distribution of questionnaires using Google Form. Validity and realiability test were carried out on 170 respondents. The findings in this study prove that the Electronic Word Of Mouth has no effect on Puchase Intention and data analysis shows that consumers exposed to boycott issues tend to have negative perceptions of the brands involved, so that it can damage Brand Image, reduce Brand Trust and ultimately affect Consumer Purchase Intention. The findings of this study contribute to management, especially in the fastfood industry, on the importancw of strengthening Brand Image and building Brand Trust consistently as the main strategy in maintaining Purchase Intention, especially amidst the boycott issue in the digital era. Consumers are now exposed to an overwhelming amount of online information, including reviews, comments, and influencer content. When information is overwhelming and unfiltered, consumers tend to be confused and unable to make decisions, resulting in eWOM losing its effectiveness in influencing purchase intentions.

Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of working capital utilization at PT Sepatu Bata Tbk (BATA) and PT Primarindo Asia Infrastructure Tbk (BIMA) during the 2019–2023 period. Using a quantitative comparative approach, the research analyzes quarterly financial reports obtained from the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The analysis employs four key ratios: cash turnover, accounts receivable turnover, inventory turnover, and working capital turnover, compared to industry benchmarks. The results reveal that BATA demonstrates superior performance in managing cash and receivables, consistently exceeding the industry standard, while BIMA records lower effectiveness with only sporadic improvements. Both companies, however, perform poorly in inventory management, as indicated by consistently negative turnover values that highlight structural inefficiencies and declining demand in the footwear industry. Working capital turnover also fluctuates considerably: BATA reached extraordinary peaks in 2022–2023 but later recorded negative values, while BIMA persistently showed instability and negative performance after 2021. These findings suggest that effective working capital management is crucial to maintaining liquidity and operational continuity, particularly in industries facing global economic pressures, shifting consumer preferences, and supply chain disruptions. The study contributes to financial management literature by providing empirical evidence on the importance of optimizing working capital strategies to sustain competitiveness in the Indonesian footwear sector.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of transformational leadership on employee performance by considering the role of digital competence in the e-commerce start-up sector in Palembang, Indonesia. Using a quantitative approach, data were obtained through a survey with 120 respondents who are start-up employees in Palembang. Analysis was conducted using validity and reliability tests, one-way ANOVA, and two-way ANOVA to examine the interaction between variables. The results show that transformational leadership has a significant effect on employee performance, with the inspirational motivation dimension as the dominant factor. Digital competence has also been shown to improve performance, especially in the aspects of digital literacy and digital communication, although technology adaptation remains a challenge. Furthermore, the interaction between transformational leadership and digital competence produces a significant synergistic effect, where the combination of high levels of transformational leadership and high digital competence results in the highest average performance. These findings provide practical implications that e-commerce start-ups in Palembang need to integrate transformational leadership training programs with employee digital competence development as a strategy to improve performance and competitiveness. This study enriches the modern leadership literature with empirical evidence from the local Indonesian context.

Abstract

This research aims to find out current and future research trends regarding supply chain performance measurement methods. Supply chain management is a vital component in the modern retail industry. In the face of fierce competition, retail companies are required to manage their supply chains efficiently in order to meet consumer demand quickly, maintain stock balance, and optimize distribution costs. SCOR is one of the methods commonly used to measure and evaluate supply chain performance. Bibliometric is an analytical approach that uses bibliographic data as an indicator to measure productivity, impact, and relationships between research entities. The two approaches used in this study are Bibliographic coupling and Co-Word Analysis. During June 2025, a search was carried out on the Scopus database and 202 documents were found according to predetermined criteria. Document processing uses the Vosviewer application which shows the visualization of a mesh diagram dividing the document into 4 clusters (red, yellow, green and blue) for analysis with the Bibliographic Coupling method which shows that the research trend on SCOR in the last two decades has focused on the use of SCOR for performance measurement and evaluation, integration of SCOR with other methods for strategy determination.  As for the Co-Word Analysis method, VosViewer groups documents into 3 clusters (red, green, blue) which shows the results that in the future SCOR research can be combined with technology and digitalization to map supply chain processes in order to achieve sustainability goals.

Abstract

In a competitive business landscape, human resources are a primary driver of organizational excellence. This study investigates the influence of work motivation—measured through the fulfillment of physiological needs, security, and self-actualization—on employee performance at PT Arat Arta Valuta, with job satisfaction positioned as a mediating variable. A descriptive quantitative method was employed, collecting primary data through questionnaires from 40 employees. The analysis confirms that work motivation has a significant and direct positive effect on improving performance (assessed based on work quality, timeliness, and attendance). Furthermore, the findings reveal that this influence also operates indirectly through enhanced job satisfaction, which was evaluated based on intrinsic aspects of the work, compensation, promotion opportunities, and interpersonal relationships. The implications of this research affirm that creating a holistic work environment—which integrates the fulfillment of basic needs with recognition and opportunities for self-development—is key to building superior and sustainable performance. Therefore, management is encouraged to shift from an approach focused solely on production means towards a humane and empowering human resource management strategy, where motivation and job satisfaction become central pillars.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the dominant factors affecting the efficiency and effectiveness of research activities at STIE Ganesha through the application of the Pareto Principle. Variations in research performance among teams, particularly in terms of outputs, timeliness, and resource utilization, serve as the foundation for this analysis. A descriptive quantitative method was employed, involving lecturers participating in research and community service grants during 2024–2025. Data were collected through Likert-scale questionnaires, structured interviews, and documentation reviews. The findings reveal that limited research facilities and inefficient use of funds account for 79.6% of research obstacles, while other factors—including team collaboration, time management, institutional support, and research outputs—contribute minimally. These results highlight the need for strategic prioritization in strengthening research infrastructure, improving financial efficiency, and implementing evidence-based research management. The Pareto Principle proves to be an effective decision-making tool for optimizing research resources and developing more targeted and sustainable institutional research policies.
