Abstract

This research is motivated by the decline in the number of applicants at Christian Junior High School (CJHS) 1 Amanuban Timur in the last three years, namely from 110 students (2022) to 94 students (2023), and 71 students (2024). This condition encourages the need for appropriate marketing management strategies to increase public interest. The purpose of this study is to describe how school marketing management is implemented through planning, organizing, implementing, and controlling. The research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. The research informants consisted of three subjects: the principal, vice principal, and public relations officer. Data were analyzed through systematic reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that marketing management at CJHS 1 Amanuban Timur includes four functions, namely planning: marketing management has been carried out through meetings with the school and committee, preparation of work programs, and promotional strategies such as creating brochures, banners, social media, and socialization to elementary schools. The organization of Admision of New Students is carried out by forming a committee based on the Principal's Decree and is equipped with a description of the duties of each section. Promotional activities were implemented in a varied manner. Control was provided through direct supervision by the principal and vice principal. The conclusion was that marketing management was functioning effectively, but strategic innovation, the development of internal technical guidelines, and evaluation instruments were still needed to increase enrollment interest more effectively.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of non-physical work environment and coaching on employee performance at PT. Graha Layar Prima (CGV) Grand Indonesia, Central Jakarta. The focus of this research is based on the importance of non-physical work environment aspects such as interpersonal relationships, communication, emotional support, social skills, and organizational culture, as well as coaching factors including change, concern, learning, and relationship, which are assumed to improve employee performance. The research method used is quantitative with a descriptive-analytic approach. Primary data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 70 respondents, while data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS. The results indicate that the non-physical work environment has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, as does coaching, which also positively and significantly affects employee performance. Simultaneously, the non-physical work environment and coaching have a significant effect on employee performance. This is evidenced by the F-test value of 77.365, which is greater than the F-table value of 3.1337, with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.698. This means that 69.8% of the variation in employee performance can be explained by both variables, while the remaining 30.2% is influenced by other factors outside the scope of this study. Thus, creating a conducive non-physical work environment and implementing effective coaching are proven to enhance employee performance at PT. Graha Layar Prima.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Public Service Motivation on Job Satisfaction, both directly and indirectly through Work Engagement, among employees of the Department of Transportation of Makassar City. Understanding the relationship between these variables is essential to improve human resource management practices that foster high-quality public service and sustainable job satisfaction. This research employed a quantitative approach using a cross-sectional design. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire distributed to 95 employees of the Department of Transportation of Makassar City. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the Partial Least Squares (PLS) approach to test both the direct and indirect effects among the studied variables. The results reveal that Public Service Motivation has a positive and significant effect on Job Satisfaction. Furthermore, Public Service Motivation also positively and significantly influences Work Engagement, and Work Engagement has a positive and significant impact on Job Satisfaction. The mediation analysis shows that Work Engagement partially mediates the relationship between Public Service Motivation and Job Satisfaction. This indicates that the motivation to serve the public not only directly affects job satisfaction but also indirectly through higher levels of work engagement.

Abstract

Employee job satisfaction is an important factor that influences organizational effectiveness and the quality of work outcomes. This investigation aims to measure the level of job satisfaction among employees at MTsN 40 Jakarta Barat and identify priority attributes for improvement according to the Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) method. Data were collected from 30 respondents utilizing a structured questionnaire consisting of ten job satisfaction indicators. The results show that several attributes exhibit negative gaps, indicating that the performance perceived by employees has not fully met their expectations. The IPA mapping reveals that Productivity and Leadership Qualities fall into Quadrant I (Concentrate Here), representing the most critical areas requiring immediate improvement. Meanwhile, Knowledge of Job, Adaptability, and Interpersonal Relations are placed in Quadrant II (Keep Up the Good Work), reflecting strong performance in aspects considered important. Quality of Work, Dependability, Judgment, and Initiative and Resourcefulness are categorized into Quadrant III (Low Priority), while Performance is located in Quadrant IV (Possible Overkill). Overall, the main sources of dissatisfaction stem from limited support for work processes and suboptimal leadership, rather than inadequate technical abilities. Therefore, strengthening leadership effectiveness, improving workflow efficiency, and enhancing internal communication are recommended to increase employee satisfaction sustainably.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effects of Work-Life Balance (WLB), Leadership Style (LS), and Intrinsic Motivation (IM) on Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) among employees of PT. BPR BKK Kendal. The research population consisted of 92 employees, all of whom were included as respondents using a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through a questionnaire using a 5-point Likert scale and analyzed using (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 3. The results indicate that WLB, LS, and IM have positive and significant effects on employees’ OCB. Work-Life Balance contributes to increased employee satisfaction and engagement, which encourages voluntary behavior and extra-role contributions to the organization. A communicative and responsive leadership style fosters employee loyalty and initiative in performing tasks beyond formal job responsibilities. Intrinsic motivation strengthens discretionary behavior as employees are driven by internal satisfaction and personal achievement. These findings support the application of Social Exchange Theory in human resource management, emphasizing that organizational attention to employee well-being, effective leadership, and intrinsic motivation promotes consistent OCB. The practical implication of this study highlights the importance for the management of PT. BPR BKK Kendal to continuously develop policies that support work-life balance, responsive leadership, and intrinsic motivation to enhance productivity, engagement, and employee loyalty. However, this study is limited to employees of a single rural bank and uses a cross-sectional design, which restricts the generalizability of the findings. Future research is recommended to include additional variables derived from Social Exchange Theory and examine their mediating roles in influencing OCB.

Abstract

This study primarily aims to analyze in depth how monetary policy, specifically the increase in Bank Indonesia's benchmark interest rate, affects household consumption behavior and financial adaptation strategies in Semarang City. The research is motivated by the aggressive monetary tightening policy (150 bps interest rate hike during the 2022–2024 period) which impacted purchasing power in a medium-sized city characterized by high household consumption and diverse financial literacy. Employing a qualitative phenomenological design, data were collected through in-depth interviews with 15 informants from various socio-economic backgrounds, complemented by limited observation and secondary documentation. Thematic analysis, assisted by NVivo 12 software, was conducted to identify patterns of perception, consumption adjustment, and financial responses. The main findings identify four themes: (1) low policy understanding and reactive perceptions among low-income individuals, (2) a significant decline in non-essential and credit-financed durable goods consumption, (3) adaptation strategies such as budget tightening, diversification of digital side income, and a shift in preference toward local/discounted products. A crucial finding highlights behavioral asymmetry based on income: high-income groups respond rationally by increasing deposits and adjusting investments, while low-income groups rely on short-term consumer financing like paylater and make essential expenditure trade-offs. Financial literacy is demonstrated to be a moderating factor, serving as a "rational filter" against monetary pressure. This study provides a comprehensive micro-behavioral perspective, concluding that the effectiveness of monetary policy transmission is highly dependent on financial literacy and has a significant asymmetric impact on vulnerable groups, thus necessitating more inclusive policy communication.

Abstract

This study investigates the effects of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP/PDRB), productive zakat, and zakat governance on poverty in West Sumatra, using a Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) approach based on panel data from 19 districts/cities for the period 2020–2024. The findings reveal that PDRB has a significant negative effect on poverty, indicating that higher regional economic output contributes to lower poverty rates. A 1% increase in PDRB reduces poverty by –5.59E-05%, consistent with economic growth trends and declining poverty levels in West Sumatra in recent years. Conversely, productive zakat shows a negative but statistically insignificant effect on poverty, suggesting that its contribution remains limited at the provincial scale due to the relatively small allocation of productive zakat compared to consumptive distribution. The study also documents that zakat governance significantly strengthens the impact of PDRB on poverty reduction, but does not moderate the effect of productive zakat on poverty. These results emphasize the importance of improving zakat management, increasing productive distribution ratios, and strengthening empowerment-based programs to enhance zakat’s role in poverty alleviation. Future research is recommended to incorporate mediating variables such as employment and investment, and apply causal analysis methods to deepen the understanding of zakat’s economic impact.

Abstract

Generation Z has now entered the workforce and is one of the generations known for its creativity and concern for mental well-being. This study examines the effect of mindfulness on the creativity of Generation Z employees based on resource conservation theory. In addition, this study examines the moderating role of supervisor support for creativity in the effect of mindfulness on the creativity of Generation Z employees based on self-determination theory. This study uses a quantitative research design with primary data from 100 Generation Z employees, collected using questionnaires and analysed using Smart-PLS 4.0. The results of the analysis show that mindfulness has a direct effect on the creativity of Generation Z employees. However, supervisor support for creativity does not moderate the effect of mindfulness on the creativity of Generation Z employees. These results indicate that Generation Z’s creativity does not fully depend on the direct role of supervisors, as this generation’s characteristics as digital natives emphasize flexibility, autonomy, and the use of technology and digital resources to accomplish tasks and express ideas independently.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of capital structure and operational efficiency on the profitability of national private banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2020–2024 period. Capital structure is proxied by the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), while operational efficiency is measured using the Operating Expenses to Operating Income (BOPO) ratio. Bank profitability is represented by Return on Assets (ROA). This research adopts a quantitative approach employing multiple linear regression analysis. The data used are secondary data obtained from the annual financial statements of five national private banks selected through purposive sampling. The analysis procedures include descriptive statistics, classical assumption tests, partial hypothesis testing, simultaneous testing, and coefficient of determination analysis. The results indicate that CAR has a positive but insignificant effect on ROA, suggesting that the level of capital adequacy has not been optimally utilized to directly enhance bank profitability. In contrast, BOPO has a negative and significant effect on ROA, indicating that higher operating expenses tend to reduce profitability. Simultaneously, CAR and BOPO significantly affect ROA with a coefficient of determination of 0.714. These findings highlight that operational efficiency plays a more dominant role than capital structure in determining the profitability of national private banks during the study period.
