Abstract

Covid-19 has an impact on all activities, one of which is education. This causes learning to turn into a distance learning system. Physics is a subject that is considered difficult for students to reach. The purpose of this research was to analyze the responses of Ngoro Jombang Senior High School students after using physics e-module based android (andromo), the subject of elasticity. This research method has a quantitative research method using an instrument in the form of a response questionnaire given to class XI MIPA of of Ngoro Jombang Senior High School. Based on the research that has been done, it shows that physics e-module based android (andromo) gets a positive response from respondents. The physics e-module based android (andromo) gets an average score of 71.95% from respondents. Key word: student response, e-module, andromo

Abstract

Using the fast method is one of the categories of fast counting ability (Hardiono, 2016). One fast method is the Pythagoras method which can be used to solve special relativity questions (Korkmaz, 2016). This research an experimental research to study the student cognitive learning outcomes in solving Einstein's special relativity problems using the Pythagoras method. This research was conducted in Ambulu State High School with a population of students in class XII MIPA in semester II of the 2018/2019 academic year with samples of class XII MIPA 3 as the experimental class and class XII MIPA 1 as the control class. Each class consists of 36 students. Data obtained from documentation and learning outcomes tests in the form of written tests with 20 questions taken from national exam questions and college entrance exams. The results of the study using the Mann-Whitney test showed that the average value of the experimental class learning outcomes was higher than the control class. So this result reveals that the application of the Pythagoras method in solving Einstein special relativity questions has a significant effect on the student cognitive learning outcomes of class XII students of Ambulu High School.Key word: Einstein's special relativity, Pythagoras method, the student cognitive learning outcomes

Abstract

Abstract Based on interviews with one of the SMAN 1 Sampit physics teachers, teaching materials used are still less related to the surrounding environment, while the 2013 curriculum requires contextual learning so that learning is more meaningful. Central Kalimantan has a variety of local wisdom, one of which is traditional games. Basic knowledge of traditional Central Kalimantan traditional games, has never been associated with physics learning. Based on this problem, the development of a local wisdom-based module is needed. This development research using Nieveen's development model consists of three stages, namely preliminary research, prototyping stage, and assessment stage, the purpose of this study is to describe student learning outcomes after using local wisdom-based physics modules. Field trials were conducted in class X MIPA B SMAN 1 Sampit with a total of 33 students. Student learning outcomes consisted of pretest and posttest scores, the average pretest score was 23.64 and the posttest was 72.67, with an average difference of 49.03. Learning outcomes analyzed using N-gain got the medium criteria with a result of 0.65%. Physics Module based on traditional game of Central Kalimantan can improve student learning outcomes and is suitable for use in physics learning material momentum and impulses. Abstract

This study examines STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) as one approach that is integrated with the project based learning model. This study aims to analyze the mathematical creativity of high school students through the integrated STEM project based learning model in learning physics material elasticity. The research method used was a pre-experimental design with the One Group Post-test Only Design which was carried out in class XI MIPA 6 of SMAN 2 Jember with 36 students consisting of 14 male students and 22 female students formed in 6 heterogeneous groups each - each group consisted of 6 people. Data collection was performed using the final test in the form of analysis of student worksheets and video analysis of student learning processes to measure students' mathematical creativity. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the application of STEM integrated project based learning affected the mathematical creativity of high school students in class XI MIPA 6 of SMAN 2 Jember.

Abstract

Most Physics Education students do not know about ionizing radiation technology in food preservation. This study aims to determine and analyze the ability of physics education students at the University of Jember in understanding ionizing radiation technology in food preservation. The research method used is a questionnaire method to 50 physics education students at the University of Jember. The research variable is students' knowledge of ionizing radiation technology as food preservation. The data collection technique used is by giving 10 multiple choice questions to 50 students of Physics Education. The results of student answers will be analyzed and represented in the form of tables and pie charts.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine about the integrated learning profile in science subjects in junior high school. The thing that will be analyzed is how to process the integrated learning planning in science subjects in junior high school. The data collection is described and analyzed through the reduction and examination process which validity used triangulation method. The descriptive analysis results found the answers to research questions. Then, the researchers drew a conclusion from the results of research.The results of the study found that teachers did not apply integrated learning that involves cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the integrated learning profile in science subjects in junior high school do not equivalent to the characteristics of integrated learning. The main cause of the condition is that teachers did not understand the characteristics of integrated learning in science subjects.

Abstract

The purpose of this research: 1) analyze the validity; 2) the effectivity of the contextual-based physics learning module on the subject of global warming for high school students. This research is research and development (R&D). The development model used refers to the Nieeven (2006) model which includes 3 stages, namely 1) preliminary research, 2) prototyping stage, 3) assessment stage. Data collection techniques used are interviews and literature study. The data analysis used is expert validation and practicality data analysis. Practical data analysis using quantitative descriptive. This data analysis technique is used to process the data obtained through a questionnaire in the form of a descriptive percentage. The percentage of data obtained from the lecturer's response questionnaire was calculated based on the Guttman scale. The results showed that: 1) expert validity was 3.77 with very valid criteria and with a reliability coefficient of 95%. While user validation shows very valid criteria with user validity results of 3.78 and with a reliability coefficient of 100%. Thus, this contextual-based physics module can be used as teaching material on global warming material. 2) The effectiveness of the calculated pretest and posttest results obtained an N-gain score of 0.79 which is included in the high category. So, the contextual-based physics learning module on the subject of global warming that was developed has effective criteria in improving student learning outcomes at SMAN 2 Jember, so it is suitable to be used as physics.

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this research is to calculate the binding energy and disintegration energy with the binding energy liquid drop model approach. This research is modeling research. The steps: 1) prepare supporting materials for research on stability and elements in the radioactive process; 2) reviewing materials that have been obtained previously; 3) do calculation simulation; 4) analyze and discuss the results of calculations; 5) conclude the results of the study. The calculation results show that the element has the largest binding energy of 1805,1 MeV and has the smallest binding energy per nucleon that is equal to 7,584 MeV, while the resulting child nuclide has the smallest binding energy of 1612,2747 MeV and has the largest binding energy per nucleon of 7,8266 MeV, so that the binding energy has a decreased graph while the binding energy per nucleon has a rising graph. The biggest disintegration energy in the uranium series decay process occurs at decay of alpha to be which is equal to 5,1037 MeV while the smallest disintegration energy occurs at beta decay becomes which is equal to -0,2639 MeV. Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed to describe the communication skills by using model Problem-Based Learning (PBL). The sample was 32 VII-A grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Jember. The method of data collection is the observation and portfolio-assessment student participant worksheet. The observation checklist includes all indicators that the ability to communicate any questions or comments, work in teams, and clarity of voice during a presentation or presenting the results of the discussion. Data processing conducted through the process of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results showed that oral communication skills of students grade VII A has excellent communication skills. Oral communication skills aspects work together in groups has risen 87.5% in the excellent category, aspects of any questions students also increased to 65.62% in both categories, and in the aspect of voice clarity has increased, although still within the category that is good enough 53.12%. Abstract

Water quality in the process of ornamental fish cultivation plays an important role in creating an environment of life that is in accordance with the needs of ornamental fish. Acidity (pH) and water temperature are one of the important factors of ornamental fish growth. The purpose of this study is to describe how the design system builds arduino-based humidity and pH temperature measuring instruments. Review the validity of moisture temperature and water pH. Monitor the humidity temperature and pH of ornamental fish aquarium water to know the results of the same data with liturgy. This research is a research and development research, conducted in the Laboratory of Physics Education Study FKIP Jember University. The research time was carried out for four months. The samples used in this study were ornamental carp. Based on the analysis of data obtained, it can be concluded that, (1) The work of pH, temperature, and spouting systems based on Arduino Uno is made with sen0161-V2, DS18B20 and DHT-11 sensors and data appearance media namely LCD. (2) Rakaian system is then calibrated to state that the system can be used properly. Calibration includes Arduino-based pH, temperature and Humidity sensor calibration as well as LCD testing. (3) The data that has been found by the researcher and the data in the literature has a match. Keywords: water quality, Acidity (pH), water temperature, arduino-based.
