Padma Sari: Jurnal Ilmu Pendidikan adalah jurnal ilmiah berkala yang diterbitkan oleh Institut Agama Hindu Negeri Gde Pudja Mataram. Jurnal ini memfokuskan kajian pada bidang Ilmu Pendidikan, termasuk Pendidikan Agama dan Pendidikan Seni. Jurnal ini mengundang para ilmuwan, cendekiawan, profesional, dan peneliti dalam disiplin Ilmu Pendidikan untuk berkontribusi mengirimkan artikel yang akan diterbitkan dan disebarluaskan melalui: mekanisme pemilihan artikel, dikritik oleh reviewer, dan proses penyuntingan. Abstract

This research aims to conduct a study related to the role of Ki Hadjar Dewantara's spirit of education in Indonesia in the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum. Ki Hadjar Dewantara is a national hero known as the Father of Indonesian Education, he is the founder of Taman Siswa who coined the concept of the Tri Center of Education, namely informal, formal and non-formal. In addition, he also came up with a concept that became a slogan for education actors, namely "ing ngarso sung tulodho, ing madyo mangunkarso, and tut wuri handayani". The concept of education emphasized by Ki Hadjar Dewantara directs education to prioritize the realization of students with character and can develop their potential through inclusive and integrated education. This is evident in the implementation of the independent curriculum, so it is deemed necessary to study the spirit of Ki Hadjar Dewantara in the implementation of the independent curriculum. This research is a qualitative research with a literature review design. The research data was obtained through various references which were then analyzed by data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of this study are that Ki Hadjar Dewantara's thoughts in education emphasize independence, justice, and equality, and this is important in implementing an independent curriculum. In addition, learning also requires the involvement of family and community to provide students with a broader learning experience. Ki Hadjar Dewantara's spirit is reflected in the independent curriculum which prioritizes freedom of thought, social inclusion and democratic participation. With Ki Hadjar Dewantara's educational spirit, the implementation of the independent curriculum is believed to be able to apply good learning principles. With this, Indonesia will be able to build an education system that is more relevant, sustainable, and advances the progress of the nation as a whole.

Abstract

The Ngelawang Barong Bangkung tradition is an activity carried out by sekaa or a group of people to dance the barong benchung from one house door to another during the celebration of the holy days of Galungan and Kuningan. The formulation of the problem in this research is regarding the philosophical Ngelawang Barong Bangkung in Kediri Village, Kediri District, Tabanan Regency and the religious educational values ​​contained in the Ngelawang Barong Bangkung procession. The theories used in this research are symbolic interactionism theory and religious theory. The type of data for this research is descriptive qualitative. The informants were determined using purposive sampling. The data in this research was obtained through: observation, interviews, documentation. The results obtained include: 1) Philosophically, the Ngelawang Barong Bangkung tradition in Banjar Dinas Pande and Banjar Dinas Demung, Kediri Village is a sacred tradition that has existed for a long time and has been passed down from generation to generation and is still carried out to this day. The community believes that there is a spirit that animates the implementation of the ngelawang barong benchung tradition. The barong benchung in these two banjars is believed to be a manifestation of Ida Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa. 2) The religious education values ​​contained in the Ngelawang Barong Bangkung procession in Kediri Village, Kediri District, Tabanan Regency consist of: a. aspects of religious belief, b. aspects of worship (religious practice), c. aspects of appreciation (religious feeling) d. knowledge aspect (religious knowledge), e. practice aspect (religious effect).

Abstract

Ki Hadjar Dewantara is a central figure in education in Indonesia. His various thoughts were able to provide awareness to society during the Dutch colonial era, which did focus on education that was more oriented toward work skills. Ki Hadjar Dewantara through his great determination to establish an educational institution named "Taman Siswa" to restore the essence of education which gives the principle of independence. Education is also intended to help the growth and development of students so that students are active and able to realize all the competencies that exist in each individual student. This research seeks to find Ki Hadjar Dewantara's views regarding the concept of education and to see the position of Ki Hadjar Dewantara's thoughts regarding education in the structure of the philosophy of education. This study uses a qualitative method with a philosophical hermeneutic approach. The results of this study indicate that Ki Hadjar Dewantara's thoughts regarding the concept of education are more oriented toward the educational philosophy of essentialism, existentialism, progressivism, and perennials. So that in this context the idea of ​​Ki Hadjar Dewantara does not only rely on one school of educational philosophy, but is eclectic in nature, which means it combines several schools of educational philosophy which do not contradict one another but use positive principles from each school of philosophy. education and pay attention to the culture of Indonesian society.

Abstract

Disciplinary character is important in the world of education. The problem of disciplinary character that occurs at Elementary School 11 Cakranegara is some students play during tri sandhya activities, pay less attention to the teacher's explanation, and are also indifferent to the tasks given by the teacher. This study aims to provide information about the role of Hindu Religious Teachers in improving students' disciplinary character. The problems studied are The disciplinary character of 5th-grade students at Elementary School 11 Cakranegara; The role of Hinduism teachers in improving the disciplinary character of 5th-grade students; Efforts made by Hinduism teachers in improving the disciplinary character of 5th-grade students at Elementary School 11 Cakranegara. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach method. Through observation, interview, and documentation data collection techniques. The results showed: 1. The disciplinary character of 5th-grade students is good enough. It is proven that they have fulfilled the existing discipline character indicators. 2. The role of Hinduism teachers in improving the disciplinary character of 5th-grade students is vital. The role consists of Teachers as educators and teachers, facilitators, motivators, and demonstrators. 3. Efforts made by Hinduism teachers in improving the disciplinary character of 5th-grade students: Reprimanding students, guiding students, making picket schedules in groups, providing coaching and direction to students, making a schedule for the leader of sradha bhakti activities, and providing sanctions or punishments that are educational.

Abstract

This study aims to explain the responsive evaluation of the implementation of religious moderation education. Religious moderation is a principle of life in multicultural life, promoting tolerance attitudes and behaviors, but in some events, acts of intolerance still occur and become a cause of conflict. So it is crucial to examine the position of education in implementing these principles. The study was conducted with a responsive evaluation approach through a literature analysis of research results on religious moderation education. Based on the analysis results, religious moderation is implemented to form moderate attitudes of religious people to build tolerance and harmony. As a process, education becomes a medium of value transformation for students so that it can strengthen religious moderation in society. A strengthening strategy is needed in its implementation because implementing these principles in society still needs to be improved. This study can become relevant literature for related studies and strengthen insights into implementing religious moderation.

Abstract

Students face various challenges in improving the quality and success of learning. Thus, a strong learning motivation factor is needed so that students are able to face learning challenges. The use of comic book media is one way to encourage students' interest in learning. The use of comic books as a learning medium has been widely implemented and the results have been proven to increase students' motivation to learn. The method used is in the form of literature study by searching, combining, and reviewing publications according to the topic of discussion. Data was taken from google scholar with the keyword "student learning motivation & comic books" in the time span from 2019 to 2024 and around 14,500 articles and 47 articles were obtained in accordance with the research theme. The results of the study show that comic books as a learning medium and increase students' motivation, help better understanding of topics and foster a positive attitude towards learning by providing an interesting and interactive learning experience.

Abstract

The background of this study highlights the pervasive threat of radicalism and intolerance within the educational environment, impacting a portion of students and scholars with anti-Pancasila views, thereby posing a danger to social harmony. Urgent measures are necessary to address this situation before more widespread damage occurs. Employing a qualitative and exploratory approach, this research aims to develop an educational framework within the Non-Formal Pasraman in West Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province. Both primary and secondary data are collected and analyzed using an inductive method. In efforts to curb radicalism, Pasraman adopts a preventive approach, focusing on the soft approach. Strategies such as introducing moderation values, exhibiting positive behavioral models, interfaith dialogue, active learning, and engaging in social services are identified as means to fortify the inculcation of religious moderation values. Strategic recommendations to enhance the quality of religious moderation education in non-formal Pasraman involve improving teacher qualifications, collaborating with relevant institutions, developing pertinent learning resources, and fostering inclusive and diverse educational approaches

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out the aspects that cause the lack of interest in learning of grade 9 students in the field of Hindu Religious Education at SMP Negeri I Permata Kekubung. This research is motivated by the phenomenon of many students who are often absent for various reasons that cannot be accounted for, ignoring the tasks given by teachers, low interest in reading and most of the students are passive in the teaching and learning process. This research is a case study research. The approach used in this study is qualitative. Data sources are obtained through observation, structured interviews, and documentation. In order to obtain data validity, the data source triangulation method is applied. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the aspects that caused the lack of interest in learning of students were internal aspects consisting of: students' ideals and low understanding of concepts in the field of Hindu Religious Education study, external aspects consisting of family economic status, the absence of support from parents that can support the improvement of students' religious knowledge, the lack of parental knowledge of Hindu teachings, and the state of the environment that does not reflect as a religious society. The results of the study also show that the teacher concerned has played a role in fostering the learning interest of grade 9 students in the field of Hindu Religious Education. Hindu Religious Education teachers can use the findings of this study as a guideline to make efforts to improve learning.

Abstract

Learning Hindu Religious Education at the elementary school level presents its own challenges compared to learning at the secondary school level. Differences in student characteristics, especially in terms of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor development, require teachers to use learning methods that suit the needs and abilities of students. One method that is considered relevant is the Dharma Carita method, which is based on Dharma Carita that contain moral and spiritual values. This study aims to exploratively analyze the use of the Dharma Carita method in an effort to improve the quality of Hindu Religious Education learning in elementary schools. The method used in this research is a literature study or literature review, which involves a critical review of the academic literature relevant to the topic. The study reviewed existing ideas, findings and knowledge related to the implementation of the Dharma Carita method in the context of religious education in primary schools. The results show that the Dharma Carita method has great potential in shaping students' character and spirituality. Through Dharma Carita , students can learn about important moral values, such as truth, honesty and responsibility. This method is considered effective in conveying moral messages in an interesting and easy-to-understand manner for elementary school students, thus making it the right choice to be used in the classroom.

Abstract

The Saṁskṛta-Bālakendram program, organized in West Lombok by the Dvīpāntara Saṁskṛtam Foundation, aims to introduce Sanskrit to children whose mastery of this language will be able to optimize in learning Hindu religious and cultural teachings. The Saṁskṛta-Bālakendram program is experiencing significant challenges, namely the inconsistency of students in attending classes. This challenge is a crucial problem so this research is carried out to analyze the factors that cause inconsistencies in student attendance and their impact on learning effectiveness. This study applies a qualitative method supported by a phenomenological approach with data collection techniques, namely non-participant observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the inconsistency of student attendance was more caused by external factors that were beyond the control of this learning program which included a lack of social motivation, the existence of other activity priorities, and also sick conditions that did not allow them to participate in learning. The impact of inconsistency in student attendance on learning effectiveness includes a decrease in enthusiasm for learning in some students who are rarely present, the way teachers organize learning materials that often repeat the subject matter to ensure that students who are rarely present can still catch up, as well as the low level of knowledge and skills of students who are rarely present in terms of speaking, reading, and writing.
