Abstract

Language has a very important role in tourist destinations, including museum destinations. As a part of the language used in public spaces, the language used at the Museum of North Sumatra as a Cultural Tourism destination is interesting to study in terms of form, function, meaning and value. This research focuses on finding variations in the linguistic landscape found in Museums of North Sumatera and the language function of the linguistic landscape found. The aims of this research is to obtain a description of the use of language variations used in the linguistic landscape of Museums in North Sumatra. This research uses a qualitative descriptive research design. The data in this research are in the form of visual images of information signs explaining historical heritage objects at the Museum of North Sumatera. The data was taken by taking photos in the form of visual images of information explaining historical heritage objects at the Museum of North Sumatera by using a smartphone camera. Two pictures were taken of each sign and the clearer one was chosen from the two pictures. Based on the results, the linguistic landscape variation that is most often found in the Museum of North Sumatera is the bilingualism variation. Abstract

Indonesia is one of the countries with the largest biodiversity and mangrove forests Natural resources, which have not been widely used as tourist attractions, will be under pressure because of the increasing need for life. Developing tourism with the idea of ecotourism is a way best way to utilize local resources. Ecotourism is an operational concept of the concept of sustainable development. Ecotourism is a combination of conservation and tourism. This research aims to examine the potential of the Cinta Tree mangrove area for ecotourism development. This research was carried out using a qualitative descriptive approach. conclusion of this research The strategy for increasing community participation in increasing tourism potential in efforts to develop ecotourism is to increase community understanding about ecotourism, the concept of ecotourism must be introduced and socialized openly, increase community confidence that ecotourism development can improve their economy and this can be achieved by maintaining environmental sustainability, making cooperation agreements for ecotourism development with relevant institutions, actively involving the community in preparing Pohuwato ecotourism development plans, starting from planning, and monitoring and evaluation, will produce positive results for the community, indirectly providing conservation education to society as a whole, not just a particular group of individuals.

Abstract

West Lombok Regency West Nusa Tenggara Province is a regency famous for tourism. Economic growth in West Lombok Regency was slumped due to Covid 19. It is necessary to handle the community's economy to recover, including through the development of village -based tourism in Gerung District. The aim of the study was to determine the best strategy to increase community empowerment through the development of the potential of tourism villages in Gerung District, West Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province. The results of the SWOT analysis and diagram of the strategic factors determining the increase in community empowerment through the development of the potential of tourism villages in Gerung sub-district showed that the best strategy included in the quadrant I. The quadrant shows that the strategy utilizes existing strengths and opportunities. Alternative strategies based on SWOT formulations that can be implemented are: (1) Optimizing village potential and tourist visits for tourism development (2) optimizing sub -district support and potential tourist visits for community empowerment (3) Utilizing tourism awareness groups for village tourism development and (4) Optimizing the support of the sub -district head for tourism awareness groups. The implementation of this SWOT formulation is intended for policy considerations in the preparation of the sub-district strategic plan in the field of community empowerment. Suggestions for the results of this SWOT study are that the sub -district and district governments involve the community in developing the potential of tourism villages in Gerung District based on the strategies that have been set.

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to understand the policies and strategies implemented by the government in managing the Anyer Beach Tourism Area and to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of these policies and strategies. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method with interview method and literacy study. Research Results Utilization of resources owned to improve community welfare, both in terms of income, employment opportunities, business opportunities, access to policy making, competitiveness, and increasing the human development index. The development carried out must realize sapta charm, namely: Security, Order, Cleanliness, Coolness, Beauty, Friendliness and Peace. The Village Law mandates the preparation of the Village Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJM Desa) and the Village Annual Development Plan (RKP Desa) to the village government. The Village RPJM is a plan for village development activities for a period of 6 (six) years, and the Village RKP as an elaboration of the Village RPJM is valid for a period of 1 (one) year. The Village RPJM and Village RKP are the basis for village development with the aim of making efforts to improve the quality of life and living for the greatest welfare of the village community.

Abstract

Gunung Jae, Sedau Village, West Lombok, using the 4A approach (Accessibility, Attractions, Amenities, and Activities) as a conceptual framework. Qualitative research method with a narrative approach was employed in this case study, focusing on a deep and contextual understanding of natural phenomena in the research area. The results indicate that Gunung Jae offers various attractive natural attractions, including camping grounds, lakes, and refreshing green landscapes. However, the study also identifies challenges such as facility limitations, the need for improved accessibility, and the expansion of better environmental management. In an economic context, the research highlights the importance of empowering the local community through skills training and small business development. Additionally, social and cultural aspects are also addressed by respecting the authenticity of local culture and promoting intercultural understanding. Proposed improvement measures include enhancing amenity facilities, improving accessibility, empowering the local community, environmental protection, and cultural diversity promotion. Thus, Gunung Jae Sedau has the potential to become a model of sustainable tourism that not only provides economic benefits but also preserves environmental sustainability and strengthens local social and cultural values. This research provides valuable insights for stakeholders, local governments, destination managers, and the local community to plan and implement high-impact, sustainable development strategies in natural tourist destinations.

Abstract

Culinary tourism in the province of Banten is very much like rabeg pecak bandeng, gemblog, grem asem, tempe pedot, soursop pickles, buffalo meat jerky, candied kolang-kaling, urab and many more but what is very phenomenal is milkfish satay is one of the specialties of Serang City where milkfish satay is very favored by both young and old the reason is this culinary one without thorns so it is easy to consume. Banten has a high historical and cultural value. Its existence is not only a delicious dish, but also a symbol of the preservation of culinary tourism and cultural identity of Serang City. Local and foreign tourists definitely buy milkfish satay souvenirs to take home. Milkfish satay is not only a delicious dish, but also an important symbol of preserving the culinary tourism and cultural identity of Serang City, Banten. Efforts to preserve and develop milkfish satay need to be carried out in a sustainable manner to ensure cultural preservation and increase the attractiveness of culinary tourism in Serang City. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a literature study design. This research aims to find out the culinary tourism of milkfish satay in the city of Serang, a symbol of the typical food of Serang City which has a high taste that is loved by connoisseurs of culinary tourism in Serang City.

Abstract

This research investigates development strategies aimed at enhancing the quality of food and beverage offerings at Pegatoria, a restaurant situated in Pegasus Stable, Bogor Regency. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, data were gathered through interviews and on-site observations with Pegatoria's management. The study reveals that the COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted visitor numbers and public awareness of the restaurant in this tourist destination. Several issues were identified, including a decline in product quality due to reduced patronage and visibility, alongside challenges in maintaining product standards as expected. In response to these challenges, development strategies focused on improving product performance, aligning product features with market demands, and selecting appropriate ingredients and packaging. The implementation of these strategies is anticipated to restore consumer confidence, bolster customer loyalty, and sustainably drive Pegatoria's business growth. Efforts to enhance product quality are pivotal in enhancing competitiveness and establishing the restaurant's reputation in the regional tourism industry. Consequently, this study contributes to the discourse on restaurant business development strategies amidst the evolving landscape of the tourism sector and the global pandemic's repercussions.

Abstract

Gastronomic tourism plays an important role in enhancing the attractiveness of tourist destinations by offering unique and authentic culinary experiences. This study aims to understand the motivations of tourists in choosing Pasar Lama, Tangerang City, as a culinary tourism destination. A qualitative approach with in-depth interviews and direct observation was used in this study. The results showed that the main motivations of tourists were curiosity about typical local food, different culinary experiences, and the opportunity to understand regional culinary culture. The quality of the dishes, menu diversity, and market atmosphere also contributed to tourist satisfaction. However, challenges such as infrastructure, consistency of food quality, and cleanliness still exist. This study provides insights for destination managers and the community to develop Pasar Lama as a sustainable culinary tourism destination, as well as contributing to the preservation of local culture and improving the economy of the local community.

Abstract

Ecotourism is a form of tourism that is responsible for preserving nature, provides economic benefits, and maintains the cultural integrity of local communities. This study used qualitative research methods. Community participation in participating in the management of Petengoran Mangrove ecotourism starts from the decision making stage, implementation stage and monitoring and evaluation stage. Overall, community participation in participating in the management of Petengoran Mangrove ecotourism starting from the decision making stage, implementation stage and monitoring and evaluation stage tends to be in the medium category with a percentage value of 60%. Government participation can be seen from the aspects of financing, implementation of activities and role in the decision-making process. Based on the support of facilities and infrastructure in the Petengoran Mangrove ecotourism, the majority of respondents assessed that the support of existing facilities and infrastructure was classified as high or adequate, namely 87%. Facilities and infrastructure that are classified as high according to respondents are parking facilities, prayer rooms, gazebos, toilets, photo spots. Ease of access is one of the main factors that helps travelers in planning visits to tourist areas.

Abstract

Pencak silat is a cultural heritage that has been passed down from generation to generation in Gardu Village, North Bengkulu, Bengkulu Province. This martial art is not only a form of self-protection from threats or attacks in the surrounding environment, but also a local wisdom that is still maintained by the village community. This research aims to explore the practice of pencak silat in Gardu Village as well as its potential as a cultural tourism attraction. A descriptive method with a qualitative approach was used in this study to obtain comprehensive data and information. The results of observations and interviews show that the martial art of pencak silat in Gardu Village has strong historical and cultural values, and can be developed as an attractive tourist attraction for tourists. Pencak silat in Gardu Village is performed only by men and is still preserved to this day. This practice is passed down from generation to generation. This research provides valuable insights into the potential of pencak silat as a cultural asset that can be utilized for tourism development in Gardu Village. The findings can serve as a basis for efforts to preserve and promote local cultural heritage, as well as encourage community economic improvement through the culture-based tourism industry.
