Abstract

Until now, learning Javanese from elementary school to high school is only a teaching routine, namely only providing material according to the curriculum. This study aims to develop a learning model of meaning to build students' critical awareness in Javanese. This research refers to the 4-D development model. The research subjects were public elementary school students in Madiun City. Data were collected by observation techniques, tests, questionnaires, and data analysis using descriptive statistical techniques. The study results showed that the Javanese language learning models and tools researched and developed are valid, practical, and effective and can increase critical awareness of moral sensitivity, thinking skills, and mastery of concepts in elementary school students. The meaning learning model combines problem-based learning with ethical aspects of learning that can increase students' critical awareness of the Javanese language.

Abstract

Today's rapid technological advances must be accompanied by the professional competence of educators, especially in integrating technology and project-based learning models. This research is a systematic review study to analyze the professional competency of teachers, the PjBL model in Primary Education, and the relationship between the professional abilities of teachers to implement the PjBL model in learning at elementary school. An article search through the Google Scholar database found 33600 journal articles after inclusion and exclusion were carried out. Ten journals were obtained for systematic review. From the results of a systematic study, it was found that there were journals that stated that the teacher's motivation in using the PjBL model had a direct impact on increasing the ability of children to develop their mindset towards the material being taught. It was also found that the ability to implement the PjBL model was combined with other learning models and approaches, and the ability of teachers to apply the technology-assisted PjBL model, so, in general, the competence of prospective elementary school teachers can be improved through the PjBL model. Based on the findings of a review of ten relevant journals, it can be said that using the PjBL model in learning presents some difficulties, particularly at the basic education level. Therefore, higher education institutions are expected to design the models and techniques to prepare student-teacher candidates to develop professional competence by innovating, being creative, and utilizing technology through project-based learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the views of public elementary school (SDN) teachers on punishment and rewards within the framework of teacher professionalism. The research method used is qualitative, with two data collection techniques: interviews with research subjects and direct observation. This study found that teachers have a constructive view of reward and punishment. With this constructive view, giving gifts and punishments has improved student behavior. The technique of giving punishments and rewards is carried out democratically, namely by providing socialization to students and involving students' commitment to agreeing on the rules that have been socialized. The punishment given to students was giving advice, saluting the flag, throwing trash in its place, sweeping and cleaning the classroom, memorizing Pancasila, singing the national anthem Indonesia Raya, and cleaning the toilets. In contrast, reward giving is praise, a book, cash, food, and high marks.

Abstract

This paper aims to analyze the teacher's role in the 2013 curriculum-based learning process in private Islamic elementary schools. The research method used in this study was descriptive qualitative. The data collection method used consisted of interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of this study found that there were five teacher roles; educator and teacher, mediator, motivator, role model, mentor and evaluator. These five roles were a positive impact of the role of the madrasah principal, who encourages teachers to be actively involved in the teachers' work group (KKG) and regular meetings before the implementation of learning begins each semester. In the learning process in the classroom, the five teacher roles are intertwined into a unit so that the learning process can proceed according to the stages of implementing the 2013 curriculum and using a scientific approach.

Abstract

This research departs from the problem of the decline in student character values due to the low strengthening of character values. This study aims to describe the biography of KH. Subkhi and the character of the Pancasila student profile in KH. Subkhi and also the process of strengthening the Pancasila student profile in SKI learning based on local wisdom figures in Temanggung. This study uses a phenomenological approach and qualitative descriptive methods. The object of this study is MIN 1 Temanggung. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of this study show three findings. First, KH. Subkhi is a religious figure who grew up with his grandfather and father in the pesantren environment and then inherited his grandfather's generous, critical and independent nature. He founded Barisan Muslim Temanggung (BMT) to fight the Dutch colonizers. Second, KH. Subkhi's character is relevant to the six values of the Pancasila student profile: faith and devotion, cooperation, independence, creativity, critical reasoning, and global diversity. Third, strengthening the Pancasila student profile in SKI learning integrated with the KH. Subkhi's character starts with planning, learning activities, and closing.

Abstract

Poetry writing material is one of the important contents of learning the Indonesian language and literature in elementary school. However, in its implementation, students needed help understanding the learning material for writing poetry. To overcome this problem, teachers can use learning media. One medium that can be used in teaching poetry writing is the visual octopus word learning media. This media is in the form of an imitation octopus with poetry-writing material on each tentacle. This study was carried out to examine the effectiveness of the word octopus in poetry writing material. This study used a quasi-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design at Public Elementary School (SDN) 1 Kekeri. Preliminary and final test questions regarding poetry writing material were used as the main instruments for data collection. Data collection underwent three stages: an initial test, providing treatment by applying octopus word learning media, and a post-test. Data analysis was carried out in two phases: prerequisites and testing media effectiveness. The study results show that the Octopus Kata learning media has high effectiveness. It can be seen from the significant difference in the average initial and final test results. This study concludes that the octopus word learning medium effectively increases elementary school students' understanding of learning to write poetry.

Abstract

Monotonous and repetitive types of evaluation can make children less interested and involved when answering evaluation questions. When evaluations are conducted routinely in the same pattern, such as using only written or multiple-choice tests, students may feel bored and lose interest in the evaluation process. To address this issue, it is important for teachers to vary the type of evaluation used. Using technology-based types of evaluation such as wordwall can make the evaluation process more interesting and enjoyable for students. This study aimed to test the validity and practicality of using Wordwall educational game media in auditory organ system material in grade IV elementary school. This study uses the ASSURE model development type method (Analyzing, Selecting, Organizing, Utilizing, Reflecting, Evaluating). Based on the results of the research data, it can be concluded that using the word wall evaluation tool in grade IV elementary school learning as follows: The quality of validity with word wall resulted in a percentage of validity of 79.8% with practical categories, while in validity using media by material experts obtained a percentage score of 86% with feasible or valid criteria. Meanwhile, from the validity of media experts, the percentage is 80% valid.
