Abstract

Spiritual leadership is a form of leadership style that emphasizes on the way to get the pleasure of God. This study’s objective is to describe the implementation of spiritual leadership in a form of society-based education called majelis ta’lim. The research method is qualitative with case study approach. Collecting observation data, document study, and interview with participant analyzed by data reduction process, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The result shows that (1) Spiritual leadership that emphasize on ruhiyyah morality and call of conscinesness has ability to set actual leadership style. Exemplary behaviour exemplified by a leader such as deepening knowledge about divinity and put into practice enable to form strong beliefs (yaqin). (2) among the characteristic of leader that has spiritual leadership is the set of capacity to prioritizing cleanliness of heart, protecting oneself from dishonorable actions (wara’), and refrain from the dazzling temptations of the world (zuhud). (3) leader’s skills in communicating spiritual values such as yaqin, wara’, and zuhud has ability to grows collective consciousness in member of majelis ta’lim.

Abstract

Strategi pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) berbasis eksplorasi telah menjadi fokus pengembangan pendidikan di Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Rantau. Pendekatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap ajaran agama Islam melalui pengalaman langsung dan partisipasi aktif dalam proses pembelajaran. Dalam konteks ini, penelitian dilakukan untuk mengidentifikasi implementasi strategi berbasis eksplorasi di sekolah tersebut, serta dampaknya terhadap kualitas pembelajaran agama Islam. Metode penelitian yang digunakan meliputi observasi kelas, wawancara dengan guru PAI, dan analisis dokumentasi terkait. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi pembelajaran PAI berbasis eksplorasi efektif dalam meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dan penghayatan konsep-konsep agama. Penggunaan teknologi dalam pembelajaran agama juga memberikan kontribusi positif dalam menyampaikan materi secara interaktif dan menarik bagi siswa. Dengan demikian, strategi ini memberikan landasan yang kuat untuk pengembangan pendekatan pembelajaran inovatif dalam konteks pendidikan agama Islam di tingkat MA.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the blended learning model on the Islamic Education (PAI) learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SD Islam Al Azhar 47 Samarinda. The background of the research is based on the importance of innovative learning approaches to improve learning outcomes, while the implementation of blended learning at the school has not yet been optimal. The method used is quantitative with a pre-test and post-test design involving 56 students. Data were collected through questionnaires, observations, and interviews, and then analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, t-tests, and linear regression. Validity testing showed that 53 out of 60 items were valid, with the reliability coefficients for variable X (0.835) and variable Y (0.858), indicating that the research instruments are reliable. The trial results showed an increase in the average PAI score to 80.357. Normality and homogeneity tests confirmed that the data were normally distributed and homogeneous. The hypothesis test using the paired sample t-test resulted in a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000 (< 0.05), indicating a significant effect. Meanwhile, the linear regression analysis showed a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.446, meaning that 44.6% of the improvement in PAI learning outcomes was influenced by blended learning. The conclusion of this study proves that blended learning has a positive effect on students’ PAI learning outcomes. Its implication is that this model can be optimized as an innovative learning strategy in elementary schools. Recommendations for teachers and school administrators include enhancing technology training and providing supporting infrastructure to maximize the effectiveness of blended learning.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to support the development of Islamic religious education materials at Ma’arif Islamic School (Madrasah Ma’arif) in Samarinda through a participatory approach. The background of this initiative is based on the need to renew and strengthen Islamic Education materials in alignment with the values of Ahlussunnah wal Jamaah, the local needs of the Muslim community in Samarinda, and contemporary socio-religious challenges. The implementation method uses a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, consisting of the preparation phase (needs analysis), implementation phase (observation, discussions, and drafting of materials), and the evaluation and monitoring phase. The results of the activity showed an increase in the knowledge of teachers, school principals, and parents about the importance of contextual and practical religious education materials. In addition, students showed improved confidence in memorizing and practicing religious materials, and there was an increased level of trust from the community toward Madrasah Ma’arif as a credible Islamic educational institution. The developed materials include daily prayers, short surahs, prayer recitations, and selected hadiths tailored to the students’ life context. This activity demonstrates that the participatory-based development of religious materials can enhance the quality of Islamic education and increase the involvement of various stakeholders in supporting relevant and moderate religious education.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of educational supervision by the principal at SMP Negeri 2 Marisa, focusing on academic supervision, teacher performance evaluation, as well as the challenges and strategies in its execution. The research employs a qualitative approach with in-depth interview techniques conducted with the principal. The findings indicate that the principal carries out supervision through classroom observations, monthly evaluations, and post-supervision reflections directly with teachers. Evaluations are conducted regularly, and follow-ups are monitored to ensure continuous improvement and sustainability of teaching quality. Despite challenges such as the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum and the use of digital assessment systems, the principal effectively adapts supervision through the establishment of teacher learning communities. This study emphasizes the crucial role of school leadership in enhancing educational quality through continuous and contextual supervision.

Abstract

School-Based Management (SBM) is an approach that grants schools autonomy in managing educational processes and resources. One of the main challenges of SBM is the low level of parental participation, particularly in terms of facilities and infrastructure. Parental involvement is crucial for improving the quality of education and directly impacts the enhancement of school facilities. This article discusses the importance of parental participation in the development of school infrastructure, identifies the factors that influence parental involvement, and suggests strategies to increase their engagement. By building effective communication, educating parents about their roles in school development, and organizing social activities such as community service or fundraising events, schools can encourage greater parental involvement. Such initiatives not only improve school facilities but also strengthen the relationship between parents and the school community. Increased parental involvement in managing school resources ultimately leads to a more conducive learning environment, supporting the overall goal of enhancing students' educational experience. Through collaboration, schools can ensure sustainable progress in both educational quality and school infrastructure.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menelaah literatur, menganalisis teks, dan memahami konteks terkait peran keluarga dalam pendidikan Islam. Keluarga merupakan institusi pertama yang memiliki pengaruh signifikan dalam pembentukan karakter, nilai, dan identitas keagamaan anak. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode kajian literatur untuk mengungkap pentingnya kontribusi keluarga dalam mendukung pembelajaran Islam, baik secara langsung melalui pengajaran dan keteladanan, maupun secara tidak langsung melalui lingkungan keluarga yang mendukung. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa keluarga memiliki fungsi strategis sebagai pendidik utama dan pertama, sekaligus sebagai pengasuh, pemimpin, dan teladan dalam membentuk moralitas dan spiritualitas anak. Faktor-faktor seperti kualitas pendidikan orang tua, lingkungan sosial, dan ekonomi keluarga memengaruhi efektivitas peran tersebut. Namun, tantangan seperti kesibukan orang tua, perkembangan teknologi, dan lingkungan yang kurang kondusif juga menjadi kendala dalam implementasi pendidikan Islam di rumah. Kajian ini memberikan kontribusi dalam memahami dinamika dan urgensi keterlibatan keluarga dalam pendidikan Islam sebagai upaya membentuk generasi berkarakter Islami yang unggul.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the administrative management and the performance of administrative staff at SMK TI Labbaika Samarinda. The main focus of the research encompasses three aspects: the process of formulating the school's vision and mission, the development of professionalism among educators and educational staff, and the implementation of improvements based on evaluations. The study employs a descriptive qualitative approach with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings indicate that the process of formulating the school's vision and mission is carried out in a participatory manner, involving the principal, teachers, the school committee, and educational staff. The vision and mission are widely disseminated through print and electronic media. The development of staff professionalism is conducted continuously through internal training such as In-House Training (IHT), particularly at the beginning of the academic year and during curriculum updates. The implementation of program improvements based on evaluations is conducted regularly through monthly meetings involving all educators and educational staff. These evaluations serve as the basis for decision-making and the continuous improvement of the school's work programs. The study concludes that school management at SMK TI Labbaika has been carried out systematically and adaptively, emphasizing the importance of collaboration, professionalism, and continuous evaluation as key pillars in improving the quality of education.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine the role of strategic management in enhancing the competitiveness of higher education institutions in the era of globalization, with a focus on private universities in East Kalimantan. The method used is a literature review, analyzing various academic sources and policy documents related to higher education institutional strategies. The findings indicate that long-term vision-based strategic planning, digital transformation, adaptive leadership, internationalization, and good institutional governance are key factors in building institutional competitiveness. The implementation of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) Curriculum also significantly contributes to aligning graduates’ competencies with labor market demands. However, challenges such as limited human resources, funding constraints, and inadequate digital infrastructure remain major obstacles, particularly in regions outside Java. This study concludes that integrative and adaptive strategic management is essential for developing globally competitive private higher education institutions.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to prove and analyze the influence of Islamic leadership on hafizun at Islamic banks in East Kalimantan Province and to prove and analyze the influence of Islamic leadership on al-Kasbu at Islamic banks in East Kalimantan Province. This study employs a quantitative and qualitative approach, which is useful for describing the existence and role of a research object or variable in relation to other research variables in a descriptive manner, by conducting a statistical analysis of the causal relationship between the research variables. The results of this study are that Ri'asatul Islam has a significant positive influence on Hafizun, meaning that the better the application of Islamic values in Islamic leadership at Islamic banks in East Kalimantan Province, with indicators of honesty, responsibility, professionalism, wisdom, fairness, monotheism, gentleness, and noble character, the higher the Hafizun with indicators of beneficial, fortunate, seeking wealth through worship, working with the heart, seeking Allah's pleasure, inner peace, living for the Hereafter, and being righteous. This is proven by the increasing values of all Islamic leadership indicators, where the graphical trend has been increasing over the past five years, starting from 2008 to 2012. Ri'asatul Islam has a significant positive influence on al-Kasbu, where the better the application of Islamic values in Islamic leadership at Islamic Banks in East Kalimantan Province, the higher the al-kasbu of employees will be, thereby improving the spiritual performance of employees with the following indicators: performance, speed/accuracy, service, quality of work, increased Zakat, Infaq, and Shadaqah (ZIS) contributions, increased sunnah worship, discipline, and efficiency. This is evidenced by the increasing values of all Islamic leadership indicators, with a rising trend over the past five years, from 2008 to 2012.
