SLJ menyediakan akses terbuka dengan prinsip bahwa hasil penelitian yang diterbitkan dalam jurnal ini tersedia secara bebas untuk umum untuk mendukung pertukaran pengetahuan secara global. SLJ menerbitkan artikel tiga kali per tahun yaitu Maret, Juli dan November. SLJ menyediakan tempat bagi akademisi, peneliti, dan praktisi untuk menerbitkan artikel ilmiah. Abstract

The research was conducted in the coastal area of Sine Beach, Tulungagung Regency which is one of the coastal areas in the southern part of Java Island and has a high risk level of tsunami disaster. The purpose of this study, (1) to analyse the level of population settlement density, (2) to identify the type of population settlement. The method in this research uses a qualitative descriptive method. Data sources were obtained from secondary data and primary data, with data collection techniques analysing satellite images and field surveys. The results showed that (2) the level of settlement density in the coastal area of Sine Beach is the densest among coastal settlements in Tulungagung. While (2) the type of settlement is dominated by the settlement of fishermen with diverse settlement types, which are dominated by non-harvesting, semi-permanent and permanent settlements. Based on the level of settlement density and the type of settlement, the settlements in the coastal area of Sine Beach include the potential risk of exposure to coastal disasters such as high waves and Tsunami waves. So it is necessary to take action planning for coastal disaster risk reduction, such as disaster education, training, increasing public awareness in responding to disasters and minimising the risk of coastal disasters.

Abstract

Environmental issues are the center attention to ensure the sustainable development. Ecological intelligence is one of the important abilities that students have to maintain sustainable development. The important way to intervene students' ecological intelligence can be done through learning based on ecopedagogical approach. This research aims to determine the effect of the ecopedagogical approach in social studies learning on students' ecological intelligence. This research uses a quantitative using a quasi-experimental method. The sampling in this study used a purposive sampling technique, with a total sample of 60 students at MTs Negeri 1 Pamekasan who were divided into 2 (two) classes, namely class VII A as the control class, and class VII C as the experimental class. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, the following conclusions can be drawn; In the experimental class the average N-Gain was 71.26. Meanwhile, the control class had an average N-Gain of 48.11. Then the t-test shows that the sig value. (2-tailed) of 0.000<0.05 which can be concluded that there is a significant (real) difference in effectiveness between the effect of using an ecological approach in social studies learning on students' ecological intelligence compared to conventional learning. Finally, an ecopedagogical approach in social studies learning needs to be developed to foster sensitivity regarding the complexity of environmental problems in order to contribute to environmental issues.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mendeskripsikan untuk mendeskripsikan dampak yang ditimbulkan dalam penggunaan Gadget terhadap perkembangan sosial peserta didik di MTs DDI Lero Kab Pinrang. Metode peneltian yang digunakan yaitu pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Narasumber penelitian ialah guru IPS dan peserta didik. Adapun teknik analisis data menggunakan data reduksi, data display dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahawa dampak yang ditimbulkan dalam penggunaan gadget terhadap perkembangan sosial peserta didik menunjukkan dampak positif termasuk peningkatan antusiasme belajar, motivasi, dan keterlibatan siswa dalam aktivitas pembelajaran. Namun, ada juga dampak negatif yang perlu diperhatikan, seperti potensi pengurangan kemampuan empati dan risiko akses yang tidak terkontrol ke konten yang tidak sesuai dengan proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

The Gondanglegi Subdistrict is one of the areas prone to flooding due to high-intensity rainfall and a predominantly low-lying topography. One effort in flood disaster mitigation is through the implementation of participatory mapping involving active participation from various stakeholders, including local communities, local governments, and non-governmental organizations. The objectives of this research are to conduct participatory mapping regarding the vulnerability level of flood disasters in the Gondanglegi Subdistrict of Malang Regency, to understand the role of participatory mapping in flood disaster mitigation planning in the Gondanglegi Subdistrict of Malang Regency, and to identify the factors causing floods in the Gondanglegi Subdistrict of Malang Regency. This research adopts the Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) approach as the main method. The results of this research indicate four levels of flood disaster vulnerability in the Gondanglegi Subdistrict, namely not vulnerable, moderately vulnerable, vulnerable, and highly vulnerable. Participatory mapping provides significant benefits to the community in terms of understanding and mitigating floods. Floods are caused by natural factors such as rainfall and topography, as well as non-natural factors such as inadequate water channels and indiscriminate waste disposal by the community.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze students' learning difficulties in terms of learning styles in social studies subjects at Darul Lughah Wal Karomah. Descriptive qualitative is used to determine the paradigm of this research. Interview, observation and documentation are the methods used in this research to collect data. The results of this study explain that: The visual learning style dominates among other learning styles with a percentage of 56.6%, and it is followed by the kinesthetic learning style at 33.3%, and the auditory learning style at 10%. The visual learning style can be seen in students with concrete evidence that must be shown firstly so it can make students understand in lesson. The characteristics of students who have a visual learning style are a high need to see and capture information visually before they understand it. The auditory learning style can be seen from students who are able to become fluent speakers, like to discuss things and explain things at length. Students with this type of learning style are easily distracted by noise and are weak in visual activities. The kinesthetic learning style can be seen in students who find it difficult to sit still for hours because of their desire for activity and exploration.

Abstract

Risiko Sosial merupakan aneka risiko yang menggiring pada rusaknya bangunan dan lingkungan sosial sebagai dampak dari faktor-faktor eksternal. Faktor-faktor penyebab terjadinya risiko sosial pada umumnya disebabkan oleh kondisi alam, teknologi, industri, kecelakaan, hingga bencana. Untuk itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan faktor-faktor risiko sosial yang terjadi serta menguraikan dampak sosial yang terjadi di lokasi penelitian. Desain penelitian kualitatif dengan 16 responden dari beragam profesi yang terkait dengan masyarakat, pemerintahan hingga perusahaan disekitar lokasi. Kami terfokus pada risiko sosial sebagai objek utama penelitian serta penyelesaian masalah sebagai rekomendasi hasil penelitian yang dilengkapi dengan analisis SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities dan threats). Data yang dikumpulkan berupa wawancara, observasi, dan diskusi pada kegiatan focus group disscussion (FGD). Selanjutnya, analisis data dilakukan dengan mereduksi data, menyajikan data, hingga penarikan kesimpulan. Keabsahan data dilakukan dengan perpanjangan pengamatan, ketelitian penelitian, dan melibatkan triangulasi sumber, teknik, dan waktu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa risiko sosial yang terjadi di Desa Laskap disebabkan oleh kondisi hidrologi desa yang terletak diantara aliran Sungai Larona dan Sungai Pongkeru serta adanya kondisi tidak normal volume air Sungai Larona pada kondisi tertentu akibat aktivitas pelimpah (spillway) pembangkit listrik tenaga air (PLTA) milik PT.Vale Indonesia. Analisis penyelesaian masalah merupakan strategi peneliti dalam memberi feedback kepada masyarakat. Sistem padi semi rakit apung tangguh bencana (PASITABE) merupakan rekomendasi yang layak dalam penyelesaian masalah sosial yang terjadi dalam di masyarakat.

Abstract

This Classroom Action Research aims to determine whether the application of the discovery learning model can improve the geography learning outcomes of students of class XII-IPS3 SMAN 2 Majene. Initial observations showed that the learning process was less dynamic, the students' learning outcomes had not met the KKM, besides that because they had not or did not use a learning model. Therefore, this research took the topic of applying the discovery learning model in the hope of improving learning outcomes. The results of this study showed an increase in learning outcomes by using the discovery learning model seen from the average value of learning outcomes in cycle I which was 75.86 with a percentage of classical learning completeness of 31.03% then increased in cycle II with an average value of 88.62 with a percentage of classical learning completeness of 86.20%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perubahan garis Pantai di Kabupaten Takalar dengan menggunakan Sistem Informasi Geografi pada tahun 2014-2024. Jenis Penelitian yang digunakan yakni penelitian Deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif berupa angka-angka perubahan luas garis Pantai yang disebabkan karena terjadinya abrasi atau akresi. Penelitian ini berlokasi di kabupaten Takalar yang yang berlangsung selama 2 bulan. Adapun Hasil dalam penelitian ini yakni terjadi perubahan garis Pantai yang terjadi di kabupaten Takalar yang disebabkan karena terjadi abrasi dan akresi. Diketahui perubahan garis pantai yang disebabkan terjadinya abrasi di kabupaten takalar seluas 416,75 ha. Dimana kecamatan Mangarabombang dengan luasan abrasi terparah sebanyak 319, 85 ha, kecamatan Galesong Selatan 51, 16 ha, kecamatan galesong 16, 33 ha, kecamatan Sanrobone 13, 12 ha, kecamatan Mappaksunggu 12, 83 ha, dan kecamatan yang memiliki tingkat abrasi terendah dengan luasan abrasi sebesar 3, 46 ha. Sedangkan perubahan seluruh garis Pantai di kabupaten Takalar yang disebabkan karena terjadinya akresi sebesar 46,33 ha pada tahun 2014-2024. Tingkat akresi  tertinggi berada di kecamatan  Galesong Utara sebesar 19,31 ha, kecamatan mangarabombang memiliki tingkat akresi dengan luasan 12,69 ha, sedangkan daerah lain memiliki tingkat akresi dibawah 10 ha, dan daerah kecamatan galesong sama sekali tidak terjadi akresi pada daerah tersebut..

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the impact of social conflicts among the dockworkers at the Parepare Nusantara Port. A qualitative approach was utilized to explore the effects of social conflicts among the dockworkers at the Parepare Nusantara Port. The research began with initial observations, followed by field visits to conduct direct interviews with the informants, along with the collection of documentation for reference. The researcher selected informants based on the criteria of being officially registered members of the dockworkers union at the Parepare Nusantara Port, consisting of both basic cargo laborers and baggage laborers. Data analysis techniques employed in this study included data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this research indicate that the impact of social conflicts among the dockworkers at the Parepare Nusantara Port comprises both functional and dysfunctional effects.

Abstract

The objectives of this research are to examine (1) the factors in driving students' interest in K-Pop culture; and (2) the impact of K-pop culture on the students’ habits in Universitas Negeri Makassar. This research employed a descriptive analysis qualitative research method. There were 10 informants in collecting the data by employing a purposive sampling technique with the criteria students who like to upload photos or videos related to K-Pop or use K-Pop idol profiles on social media, use K-Pop symbols, and have a K-Pop style appearance. Data collection was conducted by employing observation, interviews, and documentation. The data validity technique employed time triangulation, namely assessing the credibility of the data by checking the data obtained repeatedly at different times. Data analysis techniques were conducted by condensing the data, presenting the data and drawing conclusions. The results of the research reveal that (1) the factors in driving students' interest in K-Pop culture can be seen from (a) social media factors; (b) self-expression factor; and (c) peer and family factors; (2) the impact of K-Pop culture on the students’ habits in Universitas Negeri Makassar based on the positive impacts are as follows: (a) increasing networks to strengthen solidarity; (b) self-motivation to learn foreign languages and develop talents. Meanwhile, the negative impacts can be seen from (a) difficulty in managing the time; (b) wasteful; and (c) exclusive and selective in socializing.
