Abstract

This study examines the effect of servant leadership and personality on employee work productivity, with work motivation as a mediating variable, among production employees of PT Restu Ibu Pusaka, Indonesia. The research was conducted in response to the declining productivity trends observed in the domestic body manufacturing industry, which faces both external market competition and internal workforce challenges. Using a quantitative associative approach, the study involved a sample of 134 employees selected from a population of 201 through the Slovin formula. Data were collected using structured questionnaires and analyzed using path analysis to determine direct and indirect relationships among variables. The results indicate that both servant leadership and personality have a positive and significant direct effect on work motivation and productivity. Additionally, work motivation itself has a significant direct influence on employee productivity, while also acting as a mediating factor that strengthens the indirect effects of servant leadership and personality on productivity. These findings demonstrate that leaders who prioritize empathy, wisdom, and service-oriented behavior can enhance motivation and performance by aligning organizational goals with employee well-being. Furthermore, employees with strong personality traits—such as conscientiousness, emotional stability, and openness—tend to exhibit higher motivation and productivity levels. The study underscores the importance of integrating servant leadership values and positive personality development within industrial organizations to sustain productivity and employee engagement.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the First 1000 Days of Life (HPK) Movement Program as a key strategy for reducing stunting in Sumberasih District, Probolinggo Regency. The program, established under Regent Regulation No. 15 of 2019 concerning the Acceleration of Integrated Stunting Prevention, was assessed using the public policy implementation model proposed by Randall B. Ripley and Grace A. Franklin, which focuses on three dimensions: compliance with regulations, smooth execution of routine functions, and achievement of intended outcomes. The study employed a qualitative descriptive method, with data collected through interviews, observation, and documentation involving local government officials, health center staff, and community health cadres. The findings reveal that, while most policy implementers demonstrate compliance with established procedures, challenges remain in program execution and outcomes. Several activities—such as nutritional supplementation, exclusive breastfeeding, and immunization—faced irregular participation and limited adherence among target groups. Consequently, the program has yet to achieve significant reductions in stunting prevalence in Sumberasih District. Strengthening inter-sectoral coordination, enhancing community engagement, and ensuring adequate resource allocation are essential to improving the program’s effectiveness in achieving sustainable stunting reduction.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the challenges of educational supervision in schools and its implications for improving teacher professionalism and instructional quality. Educational supervision plays a crucial role in guiding teachers toward better performance through continuous coaching, evaluation, and professional development. Principals, as supervisors, are expected to act as consultants and facilitators who understand teachers’ needs and provide constructive feedback for improvement. Using a literature-based research approach, this study synthesizes theoretical and empirical findings from various sources related to school supervision, teacher motivation, and job satisfaction. The analysis indicates that effective supervision contributes to teacher creativity, motivation, and satisfaction, which in turn enhance the quality of learning outcomes. However, several obstacles persist, including limited opportunities for teachers to develop pedagogical skills, lack of supervision consistency, and inadequate resources for instructional support. Therefore, strengthening the capacity of school leaders as supervisors and fostering a culture of reflective supervision are essential to advancing teacher competence and educational quality.

Abstract

This study explores corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives and innovations in packaging waste management implemented by PT. Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk, one of Indonesia’s largest food and beverage companies. Amid rising concerns over plastic waste and its impact on marine ecosystems, the research examines how Indofood’s CSR programs—namely the Waste Bank Program, Green Warmindo Initiative, and Drop Box Program—contribute to sustainability and the circular economy. Employing a qualitative approach, the study uses document analysis of official CSR and sustainability reports from 2021 to 2023, complemented by cross-referenced data from industry publications and government policies. The findings reveal that Indofood successfully recycled over 1,000 tons of plastic waste within three years, increased public awareness of recycling practices, and strengthened community participation in waste management. Furthermore, its collaboration with PRAISE and IPRO underscores the company’s effort to establish an integrated waste management ecosystem aligned with Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 12 and 14. Despite significant progress, challenges remain in expanding program coverage, particularly in rural areas and regions with limited recycling infrastructure. The study concludes that corporate CSR can serve as a catalyst for environmental innovation, combining economic, social, and ecological objectives to promote sustainable industry transformation in Indonesia’s food and beverage sector.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategic communication implemented by the Youth Information and Counseling Center (Pusat Informasi dan Konseling Remaja or PIK-R) Bunga Harapan in promoting the Marriage Age Maturity (Pendewasaan Usia Perkawinan or PUP) program among adolescents in East Bogor. The PUP program seeks to increase youth awareness of the physical, mental, and social readiness required before entering marriage, aligning with Indonesia’s national efforts to prevent early marriage. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method, focusing on the communication strategy framework of Lasswell—who says, what message, in which channel, to whom, and with what effect. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation from PIK-R coordinators, peer educators, and target adolescents. The findings show that PIK-R Bunga Harapan effectively applies interpersonal communication and social media campaigns as the primary channels for delivering PUP messages. Message design emphasizes emotional and rational appeals, using relatable language and local cultural values to encourage behavioral awareness. However, limited funding, uneven information access, and inconsistent participation remain significant obstacles. The study concludes that well-planned strategic communication, supported by youth participation and institutional collaboration, is crucial in strengthening the effectiveness of the Marriage Age Maturity program and reducing early marriage rates among adolescents.

Abstract

This study explores the role of nonverbal communication in shaping the “good looking” criteria during the recruitment process of female frontliners at BRI Bank Bengkulu. Appearance and nonverbal cues are often perceived as indicators of professionalism and service quality in the banking sector. Using Berger and Luckmann’s social construction theory, the study analyzes how beauty standards are formed and sustained through the processes of externalization, objectification, and internalization. Employing a qualitative phenomenological approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with seven informants, consisting of Human Resource staff and prospective female applicants, along with documentation of company recruitment policies. The findings reveal that nonverbal communication elements—such as facial expressions, body posture, grooming, and attire play a significant role in constructing an image of professionalism and trustworthiness. However, the “good looking” standard also creates psychological pressure and perceived discrimination among candidates who do not meet visual expectations. These beauty oriented criteria, while reinforcing the corporate image, tend to overshadow technical competence and merit-based assessment. The study concludes that the overemphasis on physical appearance in recruitment reflects a socially constructed norm that perpetuates inequality and calls for a more balanced evaluation system emphasizing skill, competence, and personality.

Abstract

This study aims to examine strategies for strengthening the professional roles and competencies of school supervisors in managing and improving the quality of education. School supervisors play a vital role as professional educators who are responsible for implementing academic and managerial supervision in schools. Their responsibilities include planning, monitoring, evaluating, and guiding teachers and principals to achieve educational effectiveness. Using a literature review approach, this research synthesizes previous studies and regulations related to the professional scope, duties, and competencies of school supervisors. The findings indicate that supervisors serve as facilitators, consultants, and evaluators who support teachers’ professional growth and institutional performance improvement. However, several challenges remain, such as limited supervisory skills, inconsistent implementation of supervision programs, and the need for continuous professional development. Therefore, strengthening the competence of school supervisors should be conducted through structured training programs and collaborative professional forums such as the Kelompok Kerja Pengawas Sekolah (KKPS) and Musyawarah Kerja Pengawas Sekolah (MKPS). These platforms promote knowledge sharing, reflective practice, and collective learning, ultimately enhancing the effectiveness of educational supervision and school management.
