Abstract

The transformation of legal services through the implementation of the E-Court system is part of judicial modernization aimed at realizing effective and inclusive access to justice. This study seeks to analyze the regulation of cross-regional jurisdiction under Supreme Court Regulation (PERMA) Number 1 of 2019 and to examine the challenges of digital infrastructure in providing access to justice for civil litigants in remote areas. The research employs a normative juridical method with statutory and conceptual approaches. The findings indicate that PERMA Number 1 of 2019 enables the implementation of e-summons and electronic hearings without eliminating the court’s authority based on territorial jurisdiction. However, its effectiveness still depends on the consent of the parties and technical readiness. On the other hand, limitations in internet connectivity, technological devices, and digital literacy in underdeveloped, frontier, and outermost (3T) regions create disparities in access to justice. This study concludes that the transformation of legal services through E-Court requires regulatory strengthening, the development of digital infrastructure, and the implementation of a hybrid service model to ensure that the principles of justice, legal certainty, and utility are equitably realized for all people across Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze regulatory disparities in labor governance and the welfare conditions of online motorcycle taxi drivers within the gig economy ecosystem, with a specific focus on the local context of the Solo Raya region. The transformation of the digital economy, accelerated by the advancement of platform technologies, has created a new partnership-based employment model that generates legal and social implications for workers. This research employs a descriptive-analytical method with a doctrinal (normative) approach through a literature review of statutory regulations, academic works, and relevant secondary data. The findings indicate that Indonesia’s labor law framework has not yet been able to accommodate the characteristics of employment relations in the digital platform sector, thereby placing drivers in a legal grey area that limits their access to social protection and occupational safety guarantees. From an economic perspective, drivers face income uncertainty due to tariff structures and non-transparent platform algorithm mechanisms. In the local context, labor activists function as advocacy agents who not only articulate workers’ interests but also facilitate collective mobilization, provide assistance on labor issues, and encourage policy dialogue with stakeholders. Their presence, together with community coordinators of ride-hailing drivers, strengthens drivers’ capacity to advocate for normative rights and work welfare. This study underscores the need for regulatory reform that is adaptive to digital work models in order to create a more equitable and sustainable gig economy ecosystem.

Abstract

This study examines the law enforcement of public transportation that does not meet technical and roadworthiness requirements in Sukoharjo Regency. This issue is significant because public transportation plays an essential role in public mobility, yet many vehicles still operate without complying with safety and roadworthiness standards. The purpose of this study is to analyze the forms of law enforcement carried out by the Sukoharjo Regency Transportation Agency and to identify factors affecting its effectiveness. The research employs an empirical juridical method by reviewing traffic and road transport regulations and supported by field data. The findings indicate that law enforcement is implemented through supervision and enforcement actions such as vehicle inspections, traffic tickets, and case submissions to the district court. The effectiveness of law enforcement is influenced by legal substance, law enforcement officers, facilities and infrastructure, public legal awareness, and legal culture. This study is expected to contribute both academically and practically to improving traffic safety and public transportation order.

Abstract

The background of this research stems from cultural issues in Indonesia, which still tend to be consumptive in nature, with art often viewed merely as entertainment without considering its historical value. This condition opens up space for research to examine how colonialism influenced the form, function, and public perception of Pajoge dance, particularly in Bone between 1880 and 1941. This study aims to explain the dynamics of change in Pajoge dance, which underwent significant transformation when performed outside the palace environment. This study uses the historical method proposed by Sartono Kartodirdjo, through the stages of heuristics, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography. The analysis is reinforced by Parsons' structural functionalism to understand the role of Pajoge in building Bugis cultural identity. The results of the study show that Pajoge initially functioned as a symbol of status and legitimacy of palace power, but underwent a transformation when performed in public spaces due to political intervention and social change. The study recommends the need to recontextualize Pajoge as a cultural heritage that reflects the historical dynamics and identity of the Bugis.

Abstract

The designation of Malang as part of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network in the Media arts category in 2025 marks a significant milestone in strengthening the city’s identity rooted in creativity. This study aims to analyze the role of media arts as a medium for the reproduction of urban culture in the context of Malang as a global creative city. The study employs a qualitative approach using a case study design. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with media arts practitioners and creative communities, as well as an analysis of documents related to policies and activities within the city’s creative ecosystem. Data analysis was conducted using a thematic-interpretive approach based on Walter Benjamin’s theory of the reproduction of works of art, which highlights the concepts of aura, technical reproducibility, the shift in the value of art from cult value to exhibition value, and the democratization of cultural access through reproductive technologies. The research findings indicate that media arts in Malang City function not only as technology-based artistic practices but also as a medium that represents and reproduces the city’s cultural identity through symbols, narratives, and the social experiences of its community. The development of digital technology enables media art works to be produced, exhibited, and widely distributed through digital platforms, thereby expanding public access to creative works. These findings affirm that media arts play a crucial role in the reproduction of the city’s culture while reinforcing Malang’s identity as a creative city within the global network.

Abstract

Introduction: Patients with Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis (CAPD) undergoing double lumen placement may experience acute pain due to tissue trauma from invasive procedures. Untreated pain can reduce comfort, interfere with activities, and slow the recovery process. Non-pharmacological interventions such as deep breathing relaxation and distraction (including imaginative distraction) can help reduce pain intensity through physical relaxation and diverting the patient's focus of attention. Objective: To determine the effect of deep breathing relaxation and distraction (including imaginative distraction) on reducing pain intensity using the Visual Analog Scale (VAS) in CAPD patients after double lumen placement.  Methods: The research method used was a case report with a case study approach involving one patient undergoing Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis (CAPD) who experienced acute pain after double lumen insertion. Nursing interventions in the form of deep breathing relaxation and distraction techniques (music, conversation, and guided imagery distraction) were administered for one week according to the patient’s condition. Pain evaluation was conducted using the Visual Analog Scale (VAS) and observation of nonverbal responses before and after the intervention to assess changes in pain intensity and the patient’s response to the interventions provided. Results: At the initial measurement, the patient experienced VAS pain of 5–6 (moderate pain) accompanied by grimacing and a protective attitude. After 1 weeks of intervention, pain decreased to VAS 1–2 (mild pain). The patient appeared more relaxed, had improved facial expression, and was able to perform light activities. Imaginary distraction helped the patient shift focus from pain by imagining a calm and pleasant environment. Conclusion: Deep breathing relaxation and distraction (including imaginative distraction) effectively reduced pain intensity based on the VAS in patients with CAPD after double-lumen placement, thus it can be used as a supportive non-pharmacological therapy in nursing care.

Abstract

Currently, many people work in the construction sector, whether they work independently or collaboratively, regarding protection in employment relationships, or working for others for their services. This research uses a normative legal approach coupled with a phenomenon-based approach. Obstacles and efforts include a lack of awareness of the importance of worker health and safety in the workplace, and a lack of compliance with company-provided safety regulations. Efforts must be made by construction companies that handle high-rise buildings, which have high risk factors, requiring maximum occupational safety and health protection and ensuring worker safety. The company's good faith in providing occupational safety and health facilities is crucial in the work activities of a construction project. Provision of safety facilities and infrastructure is necessary to prevent workplace accidents. Furthermore, training and knowledge of occupational accidents and risks must be frequently addressed to reduce the rate of workplace accidents in the construction sector.

Abstract

Legal protection for witnesses and victims is a crucial element in the criminal justice system, particularly in handling extraordinary crimes such as corruption, terrorism, and human trafficking. Although regulated by Law Number 31 of 2014 concerning Witness and Victim Protection, its implementation still faces various structural and normative obstacles. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of legal protection and reconstruct an ideal protection model. The research method used is normative juridical with statutory and conceptual approaches. The results indicate that existing protection is suboptimal due to weak inter-institutional coordination, limited authority, and the lack of strengthened protection for whistleblowers and justice collaborators. Therefore, a reconstruction of the protection system based on restorative justice and institutional strengthening is necessary.
