Abstract

A significant indicator that contributes to lessening efforts is the number of toddler trips to Posyandu. In the operational area of Tanjungpinang City's Mekarbaru Health Center, 36.40% of visitors are Posyandu visits in 2023. This coverage continues to fall well short of both national and provincial statistics, as well as the government's accomplishment goals. The purpose of this study is to determine the characteristics that influence toddler visits to Posyandu, Batu IX Village, Mekar Baru Health Center Working Area, Tanjungpinang City, in the province of the Riau Islands. With a cross-sectional methodology and a purposive sample strategy, 191 mothers of toddlers between the ages of 13 and 59 months make up the sample size for this kind of quantitative study. Surveys were used to collect measurements. The statistical test of chi-square was applied in data analysis. The findings of the study indicate that moms of toddlers who visit Posyandu have a relationship with perceptions of Posyandu services (p=0.001; OR=2.735) and family support (p = 0.000; OR=3.237). The mother's age, education, occupation, knowledge, and attitude have little bearing on how frequently she visits Posyandu. It was determined that the frequency of posyandu visits by mothers of toddlers at the Posyandu in the Mekar Baru Community Health Center Working Area was highly correlated with family support and perceptions of posyandu services.

Abstract

Basketball players always engage in highly mobile physical activities that need to be supported by normal foot anatomy. Most important parts influencing musculoskeletal and biomechanics in the foot is the arch of the foot. Flat foot, is one of the most common conditions encountered. It refers to a medical condition where the arch of the foot becomes flat. Balance is one of the most crucial coordination skills in basketball. Good dynamic balance can be achieved if athletes have normal foot arches. If the normal arch is lost, can lead to dynamic balance disturbances. This research method uses a cross-sectional analytical observational design to examine the relationship between flat foot and dynamic balance in basketball players. In this study, 26 individuals participated as research subjects. Dynamic balance measurements using the Y Balance Test (YBT). Arch of foot measurements using the wet footprint test. Data analysis in this study using the Pearson Correlation test. This research concludes that there is a significant relationship between flat foot and dynamic balance in junior high school basketball players in Denpasar. The findings of this study indicate a statistically significant relationship, as evidenced by p-values of 0.045 and 0.003 (p <0.05).

Abstract

Background: Better sanitation and hygiene standards are beneficial for preventing infections, limiting the spread of pathogens, and fostering overall health in educational environments. On the other hand, not much is known about school-student's hygiene and sanitation habits. The purpose of this study is to identify and comprehend the variables that affect students' behavior related to sanitation and hygiene in classrooms. Method: This study was carried out at the Katiadi Government High School, a high school in a Bangladeshi upazilla town. An exploratory qualitative study design, based on the Integrated Behavioral Model for Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (IBM-WASH) was used. Before utilizing them, the effectiveness and clarity of the semi-structured interview guides were tested, which included questions about behavior, access, and practices related to sanitation and hygiene. Result: The students had quite low sanitation and hygiene practices despite having a reasonable level of awareness and knowledge. Sanitation and hygiene practices were influenced by a wide range of interrelated factors, which also affected one another. Contextual factors (lack of upkeep and cleanliness, availability of sanitary products), socio-behavioral factors (norms, peer influence), and individual factors (gender awareness, perception, and sense of health benefits). Conclusion: To advance improved sanitation and hygiene practices among school students, multi-level interventions such as regular delivery of WASH-related materials and agents, promotion of low-cost WASH interventions, quality cleaning services improvement, close observation of cleaning activities, individual hygiene behavior promotion, and introduction of gender-sensitive WASH infrastructure and construction may be helpful.

Abstract

Mothers' confidence in providing breast milk to babies is positively associated with increasing breastfeeding duration in various cultures and age groups. It's just that most breastfeeding mothers who are giving birth for the first time feel less confident so that breast milk doesn't flow smoothly. So it requires family support close to the mother, namely the grandmother. Smooth breastfeeding occurs if the mother is relaxed and comfortable. This comfort can be achieved by massage effuerage and listening to murottal Al-Qur'an. The design carried out in this research was a quasi-experiment using a one test only design. This research was conducted in the Arjasa Community Health Center Work Area, Situbondo Regency. The research was conducted in December 2023 - February 2024. The population in this study was post partum mothers who were in the TPMB working area of the Arjasa Health Center. The sampling technique used in this research was purposive sampling. Interpretation of Friedman Test Results on the Effectiveness of Murottal Al-Qur'an and Effleurage Massage Using Jitu Oil by Breastfeeding Grandmothers on the Independence of Breastfeeding Mothers. Descriptive statistics on 41 respondents whose data was collected 7 times in 1 month, namely day 1, day 5, day 10, day 15, day 20, day 25, and day 30 it can be seen that the average level of independence during treatment has increased successively. This research reveals the importance of involving family members, in this case grandmothers, in the context of caring for the mother of the baby, because in this cultural environment, there seems to be a value on the bonds that exist between these women, which benefits the family. intergenerational transmission of knowledge, experience and insight.

Abstract

This study was conducted to analyze the hSIL of Vitamin K Supplementation in Reducing Cardiovascular Events in End-Stage Chronic Kidney Disease: A Systematic Review. Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is the leading source of morbidity and mortality worldwide, and chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a major contributor to this matter. Kidney disease is estimated to affect over 850 million people worldwide. The present systematic review was conducted following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) statement. We searched studies from electronic databases (PubMed Central, ScienceDirect, PLoS One, Google Scholar, Nature). Studies were considered eligible if they met the following criteria : (1) the study is a randomized controlled trial (RCT), (2) the study was published in the last 5 years (2018– 2022), (3) the study participants were adult patients with kidney disease from stage III to end-stage who were given vitamin K supplementation, (4) the study reported coronary artery calcium scores pre- and post- vitamin K supplementation, (5) the study was published in English. Risk of bias of each study was evaluated using Cochrane Risk of Bias (RoB) 2 tool. Data were descriptively examined and narratively reported. In conclusion, our results do not suggest that vitamin K supplementation may affect vascular calcification as measured by the CAC score. Up till now there is no treatment to reverse vascular calcification in ESKD patients. The current clinical practice should focus on prevention and retardation of its progression.
