Abstract

The world has been significantly impacted by the COVID-19 epidemic, particularly in the travel and tourism sector. Even after the Covid-19 outbreak stopped, the effects in various forms continued to recur. The market segment is also affected by post-pandemic developments in the tourism industry. Geographically, changes in tourist market sectors might present new perspectives and opportunities or new challenges and risks to a tourism destination if it does not adjust quickly to these changes. This pilot study attempts to identify shifts in traveler market patterns that arise in Bali as a global travel destination following the pandemic. It illustrates how changes in market segments have occurred in this destination through tourist arrival data recorded by the National Statistics Bureau. A quantitative comparison analysis approach to the number of tourist visits reveals that there have been changes in nearly every region. The number of visitors to Bali has changed significantly in each region's tourist-generating countries. This study demonstrates that, due to various circumstances, market segment shifts have happened considerably in practically every region and every country. This study offers a crucial overview for formulating strategies and policies for growing the tourism industry after the COVID-19 outbreak.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the implementation of the flagship tourism development policy at Lake Paisu Pok. The research method used is a case study with a qualitative approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with various stakeholders, field observations, and documentary studies. The results of the research indicate that the implementation of the flagship tourism development policy at Lake Paisu Pok has achieved several achievements but still faces several challenges, such as a lack of supporting infrastructure, suboptimal coordination among relevant agencies, and ineffective tourism promotion and marketing. Based on these findings, it is recommended that local governments and various stakeholders improve coordination and cross-sectoral cooperation, enhance supporting infrastructure, and improve tourism promotion and marketing to enhance Lake Paisu Pok's attractiveness as a flagship tourism destination.

Abstract

This research aimed to identify the dominant characteristics and motivations of millennial Muslim tourists visiting Marawa Beach Club Padang West Sumatra. Utilizing a quantitative research method, data was collected through the distribution of questionnaires. A simple random sampling technique was employed to select participants from the tourist population. The data were analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis, with responses evaluated on a Likert scale of 1-5. Results from the questionnaires, completed by 100 respondents, highlighted distinct characteristics and motivations of millennial Muslim tourists compared to other visitor segments. This study reveals the unique appeal of Marawa Beach Club for this demographic. The findings provide valuable insights for tourism businesses, local authorities, and destination marketers aiming to cater to the specific preferences of millennial Muslim travelers. Additionally, this research lays a foundation for understanding evolving travel trends and informs strategies to create a more inclusive and enriching destination experience.

Abstract

Sports tourism is here to provide added value for the intrinsic and extrinsic elements of destinations in an area which has implications for increasing the number of visitors. In Indonesia, there are several regions that promote sports tourism to boost tourist visits and the regional economy, including NTB Province with Mandalika. Mandalika has now become a super priority destination in NTB Province and the center of attention in the development of sports tourism. To ensure this development runs well, it is necessary to understand the factors that influence the quality of service in this destination. Therefore, this research is needed to assess the quality of sport tourism services in Mandalika. The data collection technique uses scraping and crawling then creates a questionnaire and the results are analyzed using statistical tests. The results of the analysis show that event management has the most significant influence on the perception of service quality at sports event destinations with an influence of 97.7%. Besides that, the importance of event management in improving service quality, destination managers must utilize social media and online advertising as an effective marketing strategy and collaborate with sports influencers to increase tourist interest and participation.

Abstract

Moringa has gained popularity in the world of gastronomy due to its nutritional value and great versatility. Moringa leaves are rich in nutrients and can be used in a variety of dishes. The leaves have a unique flavor and a vibrant green color that enhances the dish. With such potential, moringa can become one of the most iconic gastronomic tourism foods, especially in Bali. This research aims to explore the potential of moringa as a gastronomic icon. The research utilizes a qualitative method by analyzing the results of in-depth interviews and interpreting the data. The research concludes that by understanding the uniqueness of moringa, this food ingredient can be developed into food and beverage menus that are widely consumable. Promotion through culinary festivals and events, moringa nutrition education, and incorporating moringa into cooking class activities are all efforts to establish this food ingredient as a gastronomic icon, particularly in Ubud, Gianyar. Furthermore, promoting moringa-based products can contribute to the promotion of health tourism, attracting visitors interested in wellness and nutritional benefits, thereby supporting the local economy.

Abstract

The tourism sector have the impact to environmental as it shifts towards sustainable tourism development. Food waste is a one of environment continuing global issue possessing sustainability challenges in the tourism sector. Food waste is edible food that is discarded, negatively impacting environmental health. As per the 2020 report from the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), approximately one-third of all food produced for human consumption globally is wasted or discarded. Indonesia is among the leading producers of food waste in Southeast Asia. The 2021 UNEP annual report, food waste in Indonesia totals 20.93 million tons. The Tourism food and beverage sector, some of the biggest contributors to food waste, along with, is also by the behavior of people who may not be aware of the negative effects on food waste. This study using Qualitative method approach, with the data such as media journals, reports, journals articles and books, and will explore the behavior of domestic tourists towards food waste, especially in the Labuan Bajo area, which is one of the super priority tourist destinations in Indonesia. The study's findings give an overview of how people's attitudes and knowledge are influenced food wastage behavior.
