Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of organizational culture and transformational leadership on employee performance, with work motivation functioning as an intervening variable among higher education administrative staff. Using a quantitative approach with the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling technique, the analysis includes descriptive statistics, tests of convergent and discriminant validity, evaluation of composite reliability, and assessment of the structural model. All indicators meet the validity and reliability requirements, with loading values exceeding the threshold and composite reliability demonstrating strong consistency. The results indicate that organizational culture has a significant positive effect on employee performance, and transformational leadership also shows a substantial positive influence. Work motivation is found to meaningfully enhance employee performance, while organizational culture and transformational leadership both contribute significantly to strengthening work motivation. These findings confirm that work motivation partially mediates the relationship between organizational culture, transformational leadership, and employee performance. The study reinforces recent empirical evidence and provides practical implications for higher education institutions to improve employee performance by strengthening organizational culture, encouraging transformational leadership practices, and enhancing the motivation of administrative personnel.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of service quality and product quality on customer loyalty, specifically examining the mediating role of customer satisfaction within the context of an Indonesian Internet Service Provider (ISP). Adopting a quantitative approach, the research utilizes Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to analyze data obtained through proportional random sampling. The analytical framework incorporates confirmatory factor analysis and Sobel mediation testing to ensure a rigorous evaluation of the proposed model. The findings demonstrate that both service quality and product quality significantly influence customer satisfaction, which in turn serves as a strong predictor of customer loyalty. Furthermore, customer satisfaction is found to partially mediate the relationship between these quality dimensions and loyalty. These results offer theoretical advancement in understanding loyalty formation within emerging digital markets and provide practical guidance for ISPs to enhance retention strategies through integrated quality improvements. This research contributes novel empirical evidence on the joint effects of service and product quality in developing digital service environments, effectively addressing existing literature gaps regarding the mediation mechanisms that drive customer loyalty.

Abstract

Employee performance plays an important role in determining organizational success. However, several performance indicators in the Risk Management Division of PT CJ Feed Indonesia have not reached expected targets, indicating potential issues related to organizational culture, work motivation, and job satisfaction. This study aims to examine the effect of organizational culture on employee performance through work motivation and job satisfaction as intervening variables. The research applied a descriptive quantitative approach using a survey method. The population consisted of 102 staff-level employees in the Risk Management Division of PT CJ Feed Indonesia across all sites, and all members of the population were used as respondents through a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Square. The results show that organizational culture has a significant effect on work motivation and job satisfaction. Work motivation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, whereas job satisfaction does not significantly influence employee performance. Furthermore, work motivation mediates the relationship between organizational culture and employee performance, while job satisfaction does not play a mediating role. These findings indicate that strengthening organizational culture supported by improving work motivation is more effective in enhancing employee performance. The study provides managerial implications for organizations to focus on internalizing cultural values and strengthening motivational factors to achieve better performance outcomes.

Abstract

Regional development banks in Indonesia face increasing pressure to balance credit expansion and risk management. This study investigates the dynamics of credit risk deterioration and risk preference shifts at Bank BJB Bogor Branch during the 2020-2024 period. A qualitative descriptive approach with a case study strategy was employed, complemented by quantitative descriptive analysis. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with branch managers, credit analysts, and risk management officers, supported by internal financial reports, OJK publications, and relevant banking regulations. Risk preference was measured using the Risk Preference Index, Loan-to-Deposit Ratio, and Credit Expansion Rate, while credit risk was assessed through Non-Performing Loan ratios and Capital Adequacy Ratio. The results reveal three critical findings. First, the branch experienced a significant risk preference shift from risk neutral to risk taker category driven by aggressive credit expansion alongside declining third-party funds. Second, the MSME credit segment suffered catastrophic quality deterioration reaching an alarming non-performing level in the final observation year. Third, a structural funding vulnerability was identified as regional government deposits declined dramatically, forcing the Loan-to-Deposit Ratio to exceed the optimal threshold. The study concludes that high capital adequacy alone is insufficient to contain credit risk when aggressive expansion into high-risk segments is unsupported by proportional risk management capacity and disciplined post-disbursement monitoring.

Abstract

Generation Z customers in Bandung, Indonesia, are more likely to make impulsive purchases on the Shopee platform due to the quick growth of e-commerce and the growing use of marketing strategies like flash sales, free shipping, and price reductions. This study aims to examine how flash sales, free delivery, and price reductions affect Generation Z customers' impulsive purchasing habits. The quantitative survey approach was the research technique employed. Purposive sampling was used to choose 200 student replies as participants. To investigate the association between variables, data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results demonstrate that, either partially or concurrently, flash sales, free delivery, and price reductions have a favorable and significant impact on impulsive purchasing behavior. Because of the urgency and FOMO (fear of missing out) that buyers felt, flash sales were the best predictor of these factors. Additionally, rather than viewing free delivery and price reductions as two distinct marketing strategies, Generation Z customers typically view them as one way to save money. These findings provide useful implications for e-commerce businesses in developing more successful promotional tactics and add to the empirical understanding of the influence of integrated promotional signals on impulsive purchase decisions in the setting of digital commerce.

Abstract

Digital payment systems are now a necessary component of Generation Z's everyday lives. The use of e-wallets, QRIS, and mobile banking for a variety of purposes has been boosted by convenience, quick payment processes, and promotional offers such as discounts and cashback. However, as people's capacity to manage their money and exercise self-control also affects their purchasing selections, similar conveniences do not always result in the same consuming behavior. The purpose of this study is to assess the impact of a cashless lifestyle on the consumption habits of Generation Z and investigate the moderating effects of self-control and financial literacy in this context. A total of 201 members of Generation Z who use digital payment systems were surveyed as part of this study's quantitative methodology. Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS was used to analyze the data. The findings show that a cashless lifestyle has no discernible impact on consumer behavior. Spending behavior is significantly affected by financial literacy and self-control, which also moderate the association between a cashless lifestyle and spending behavior. These results imply that the extent of digital payment use has less impact on Generation Z's consumption behavior than financial management skills and self-control.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the individual and collective influence of ease of use, transaction speed, and system security on the satisfaction of Generation Z university students using QRIS and e-wallet payment services in Bandung City, Indonesia. A quantitative causal-explanatory research design was employed, with primary data collected from two hundred and forty-seven eligible respondents through structured online questionnaires. Instrument quality was verified through Pearson correlation validity testing, Cronbach's Alpha reliability analysis, and Principal Component Analysis via IBM SPSS Statistics. The structural model was evaluated using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling through SmartPLS 4, incorporating outer model assessment, inner model evaluation, and bootstrapping procedures. The results indicate that none of the three predictor constructs individually reached the conventional threshold of statistical significance; however, the three constructs collectively demonstrated an exceptionally high level of explanatory power over Generation Z student satisfaction. Theoretically, this study extends the Technology Acceptance Model within the context of Indonesia's national digital payment infrastructure, providing evidence that Generation Z evaluates digital payment quality through an integrated, holistic experiential process rather than discrete attribute-by-attribute assessment. Practically, the findings offer strategic recommendations for digital payment service providers, national regulators, and university administrators seeking to optimize Generation Z satisfaction within Indonesia's evolving cashless ecosystem. As a novel contribution, this study proposes holistic transaction behavior as a conceptual explanation for the co-occurrence of individually non-significant predictors and exceptional collective predictive power in PLS-SEM models applied to Generation Z digital service evaluation contexts.

Abstract

This study examines how digital marketing elements, namely visual content, electronic word-of-mouth (eWOM), and narrative advertising, influence brand preference and purchase decisions among Generation Z women in Bandung. A quantitative explanatory survey was employed, collecting data via online questionnaire from 204 respondents selected through purposive sampling, and the data was analyzed using a method called Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) through measurement and structural model evaluation. The findings reveal that visual content exerts a positive and significant effect on brand preference, whereas eWOM shows a negative and significant effect, suggesting excessive exposure to unverified reviews paradoxically diminishes consumer preference, and narrative advertising shows no statistically significant effect. Furthermore, brand preference positively and significantly influences purchase decisions, confirming its role as a critical mediating variable. These findings indicate that the effectiveness of digital marketing elements depends on how stimuli are cognitively and affectively processed, making visual content quality and proactive eWOM management key priorities for marketers targeting Generation Z local skincare consumers. This study contributes to the S-O-R literature by integrating multiple digital marketing stimuli into a single explanatory model within the context of Indonesia’s local skincare industry.

Abstract

The rapid growth of the Korean Wave and the increasing popularity of TikTok have significantly transformed the digital marketing landscape. This study aims to examine the influence of Korean-style visual aesthetics displayed by TikTok influencers on university students’ purchase intention. A quantitative approach was employed using a survey method, with data collected through an online questionnaire distributed to active university students who use TikTok and have been exposed to Korean-style aesthetic content. The collected data were analyzed using validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, and simple linear regression analysis. The findings indicate that Korean-style visual aesthetics have a positive and significant influence on students’ purchase intention. The visual elements presented by TikTok influencers were found to attract attention, create positive perceptions, and encourage stronger intentions to purchase promoted products. These results suggest that Korean-inspired visual aesthetics serve as an effective marketing stimulus in shaping consumer responses within digital platforms. The study concludes that the use of Korean-style visual aesthetics by TikTok influencers can enhance purchase intention among university students and provides insights for marketers seeking to leverage visual-based promotional strategies in social media marketing.

Abstract

Hospitals industry increasingly require leaders who can integrate managerial, interpersonal, digital, and strategic capabilities with the technical demands of healthcare delivery. This study explored how competence-based leadership is understood and enacted west java in Indonesian hospital settings, particularly in relation to operational coordination, professional boundaries, and digital adaptation. A qualitative descriptive design was used. Six hospital directors or managers and ten unit heads or supervisors in participated between Data were generated through semi-structured interviews and supported by document review and field observation. The material was analysed using thematic analysis and reported with reference to COREQ and SRQR principles. Four themes were identified: (1) competence as practical work readiness rather than technical knowledge alone; (2) leadership as direction, coordination, and real-time problem solving; (3) professional boundaries and hierarchy as simultaneous sources of order and barriers to open collaboration; and (4) digitalisation as an expansion of competence requirements and leadership responsibilities. The findings suggest that competence-based leadership is best understood as a situated organisational practice through which leaders mobilise employee capabilities, translate standards into daily routines, bridge professional boundaries, and support digital workflows. Participants associated these practices with more consistent service processes, stronger coordination, and greater organisational adaptability. The study contributes a context-sensitive framework linking healthcare-context competence, operational leadership, relational coordination, digital competence, and continuous competence development. Hospitals should prioritise competency mapping, unit-based leadership development, psychological safety, digital mentoring, and performance feedback.
