Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the conversation that transpired on Twitter following the Indonesia 2024 presidential election debate, with particular attention on the phrase "Ndasmu." To better comprehend the speech patterns and attitudes that surface in online interactions, this research use topic modeling and sentiment analysis. The following Twitter data collection steps are part of this research methodology: To retrieve relevant tweets, use the Tweepy library to access the Twitter API. Access can only be obtained using a Twitter API key. Pre-processing Text: Eliminating superfluous characters, links, and mentions from the text data. Tokenizing text means breaking it up into individual words or phrases. eliminating stop words. Topic Modeling: Non-negative Matrix Factorization (NMF) or Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) are two methods used for topic modeling. Two well-liked Python packages for topic modeling are Scikit-learn and Gensim. Sentiment analysis can be done with TextBlob or NLTK. While TextBlob makes things easier, NLTK offers more customization options. Visualization: Producing word clouds for subjects and sentiment distribution, among other visual representations of the data, requires the use of tools like Matplotlib or Seaborn. It is anticipated that the study's findings would provide light on the prevailing themes in the "Ndasmu" discourse and the attitudes that accompanied the presidential debates. These findings can help us comprehend the dynamics of public opinion and how individuals react to important political occasions like debates for the presidential nomination.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the role of media and technology in nature conservation campaigns in West Sulawesi and their impact on increasing environmental awareness in local communities. The main focus of the research is how mass media and digital technology are used as ecological communication tools to disseminate information, increase public participation, and encourage behavioral changes in maintaining rich and diverse local ecosystems. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with stakeholders, including government officials, environmental activists, local communities, and media and technology practitioners. In addition, content analysis was carried out on ecological campaigns distributed through various media platforms, such as television, radio, and social media, as well as environmental-based technology applications. The research results show that media and technology play a significant role in driving the nature conservation campaign in West Sulawesi. The use of social media and technology applications has proven effective in reaching the community, especially the younger generation, and building collective awareness of the importance of protecting forest, coastal, and other natural resource ecosystems. However, challenges such as limited access to technology in remote areas are still obstacles to expanding the impact of this campaign. Therefore, this research recommends increasing access to technology and further collaboration between governments, NGOs, and local communities to maximize the potential of environmental communications.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explore inter-religious communication based on an understanding of the prophetic traditions through a sociological approach. Analyzing inter-religious communication based on Hadiths with a sociological approach is important. This study will propose two forms of Prophetic Interaction in addressing inter-religious communication, namely communication through associative interaction and dissociative interaction. The method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative method based on data and information sourced from the Prophet's traditions. Data were collected, then analyzed using a sociological approach. The findings of this study are that by examining the Prophet's traditions about inter-religious communication, especially in answering and giving greetings, it is not associated with the law of halal or haram. However, the prohibition and permissibility of answering and greeting non-Muslims are solely related to the social situations and conditions in which interactions are carried out with non-Muslims. Which basically can be divided into two forms or stages, namely associative which includes (cooperation, accommodation and assimilation) and dissociative forms or stages which include competition, contravention and conflict / dispute.
