Abstract

Objective: The purpose of this study is to apply Evidence-Based Nursing Practice (EBNP) activities based on the concepts and models of nursing theory. Method: EBP implementation design used is true experimental with research design Guide imagery. The sampling technique in the implementation of EBP is accidental sampling with nonprobability sampling approach. The population in this study were patients who were at Wright Patterson Medical Center in Ohio with planned surgery on the head and neck area of 44 people divided into 2 groups. Results: giving guide imagery before surgery can reduce the pain as measured by using VAS. The results showed that the pain level was measured after 1 hour postoperatively and 2 hours postoperatively. At the initial measurement, there was no significant difference between the control group and the intervention group with a p value of 0.057. After 2 hours postoperatively, there was a significant difference in pain level between the control group and the intervention group with a p value of 0.041. Conclusion: The implementation of evidence based practice using guide imagery as a therapy before the patient is operated is proven to reduce the level of pain and anxiety of the patient.

The number of inmates in the detention center has increased, resulting in increased levels of stress on inmates namely mild stress levels (11.1%) and moderate stress (33.3%) in 2015. All the pressure that occurs on prisoners in prison will result in mental and physical illness and prolonged stress will result in mental disorders such as depression, anxiety and even psychotic disorders. Progressive muscle therapy is a therapeutic that is superior to other therapies because it is the cheapest and it's easy to do independently and shows the importance of restraining stress responses by trying to relieve conscious muscle tension. The design of this study used a pre - experimental design with a design of one group pre test - post test design. The population in this study were criminals in the Prison of Class II B Kudus. The sampling technique uses total sampling so that the sample size is 13 respondents. Data was collected using observation of stress levels and then analyzed using paired T test. The result of the paired T test showed that there was a significant effect between progressive muscle relaxation therapy on the reduction of stress levels in criminals in the Prison Class II B Kudus with a p-value of o,oo1 (p<0.05). There is the Effect of Progressive Muscle Relaxation Therapy on Drecreasing Stress Levels of criminal in Prison Class II B Kudus.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools are one of the educational institutions in Indonesia. Students at Islamic boarding schools gain knowledge from teachers, kyai or ustadz. The increasing number of students in Islamic boarding schools has created habits such as eating together on one tray, not washing hands with soap before eating, sharing toiletries, and even sharing clothes. This bad habit causes an increase in the number of students suffering from illnesses such as acute respiratory infection, diarrhea, typhus and scabies. Clean and healthy living behavior in Islamic boarding schools is a collection of behaviors that are practiced on the basis of awareness as a result of learning, which makes the Islamic boarding school community independently able to prevent disease, improve their health, and play an active role in creating a healthy environment. This research aims to determine the effect of peer education methods on Clean and Healthy Living Behavior of Santri in Islamic Boarding Schools: Study on students of Irsyadul 'Ibad Islamic Boarding School, Batanghari Regency. This research is a quasi-experimental design research with a two-group pre test-post test control group design. The sample size is 84 respondents divided into 2 groups, namely the Peer Education experimental group with 42 respondents and the control group with 42 respondents. Each group lives in a different dormitory. The results of the bivariate analysis test with the Wilcoxon T-Test showed that the intervention group (peer educators) Knowledge p= 0.006, attitude p= 0.003 and the control group knowledge p= 0.000, attitude=0.009. So it can be statistically concluded that the peer education method influences the knowledge and attitudes of students regarding clean and healthy living behavior in the Batanghari Regency Islamic Boarding School.
