Abstract

Welding inspection plays a critical role in the shipbuilding industry to ensure the integrity and quality of welded joints. However, the prevailing manual inspection procedures are inherently subjective, prone to bias, and result in inconsistent quality assessments. Therefore, there is a strong need for an automated and intelligent system capable of objectively detecting welding points. To address this, we propose an advanced segmentation model based on deep learning and computer vision techniques, specifically utilizing the enhanced Nested UNet architecture with extensive architectural modifications and comprehensive hyperparameter tuning. To further optimize the segmentation performance, we systematically compare different convolutional blocks integrated into the network architecture. The dataset used consists of 548 welding images. Each image is manually annotated using the VGG Image Annotator (VIA) application by marking the weld point areas as polygons. This research focuses on the development of a Nested UNet model, a deep learning-based image segmentation model for detecting weld points from previous models using the UNet architecture. During the training process, performance on both the training and validation datasets is continuously monitored and recorded. This results in several logs recording the training loss, validation loss, training IoU, and validation IoU for each of the three types of convolutional blocks used in the dense bottleneck. Our experimental evaluation shows that the use of VGG - Dense - VGG convolutional blocks in Nested UNet yields the highest performance, achieving a Training Dice score of 0.92970 and a Validation Dice score of 0.89695 on our collected dataset.

Abstract

The advancement of digital technology has brought substantial transformation to the global financial landscape, including in Indonesia, through the emergence of financial technology (fintech) as a modern financial innovation. In this context, Islamic fintech represents a distinctive development that integrates digital innovation with Islamic economic principles, positioning it as a strategic driver for the economic empowerment of Muslim communities. This study aims to analyze how Islamic fintech concretely contributes to the economic growth of the ummah, particularly through inclusive access to sharia-compliant financial services in the era of financial digitalization. Using a qualitative descriptive approach based on literature studies from OJK, Bank Indonesia, DSN-MUI, and several Islamic fintech case studies in Indonesia, the research identifies that Islamic fintech plays a significant role in expanding financing opportunities for MSMEs, fostering productive investment aligned with Islamic ethics, and strengthening financial inclusion in underserved regions. The findings reveal that Islamic fintech contributes to the real sector by channeling funds into halal business activities, supporting entrepreneurial development, and enhancing social welfare through digital zakat, infaq, and waqf platforms. However, the study also highlights challenges, including limited adaptive regulation, low financial and digital literacy, and the need for stronger infrastructure and data security systems. These results imply that optimizing Islamic fintech’s potential requires synergy among the government, financial institutions, academia, and society to create a sustainable, equitable, and inclusive Islamic financial ecosystem capable of accelerating the economic growth of the Muslim community in the digital era.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technology has fostered innovation in the financial sector, notably through the emergence of crowdfunding as an alternative model for social financing. This study analyzes the potential development of Islamic crowdfunding as an inclusive and Sharia-compliant social financing instrument in the digital era. Using a qualitative method with a literature study approach, the research draws on secondary sources including academic journals, regulatory documents, and reports from Islamic financial institutions. The findings reveal that Islamic crowdfunding offers substantial potential in promoting financial inclusion, supporting community economic empowerment, and contributing to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in reducing poverty and improving welfare. This research contributes by highlighting the strategic role of Islamic crowdfunding in bridging the gap between social finance and technological innovation within an Islamic framework. However, several challenges persist, such as the absence of comprehensive regulations, limited Islamic financial literacy, and concerns over data security and public trust. To address these issues, an integrated strategy is proposed through regulatory strengthening, Sharia certification, collaboration with Islamic social institutions, and the adoption of blockchain-based innovations accompanied by digital literacy enhancement. Through the synergy of regulators, financial institutions, and society, Islamic crowdfunding can evolve into a key driver of a fair, transparent, and sustainable social finance ecosystem in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the phenomenon of a mother’s loneliness in the film Bila Esok Ibu Tiada through Ferdinand de Saussure’s semiotic perspective. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach with textual and visual analysis of the film as the primary data. Saussure’s semiotics—particularly the relationship between signifier and signified, and the concept of langue and parole—are used to interpret the meanings embedded in the mother’s loneliness. The findings indicate that loneliness is represented through verbal and non-verbal signs, including dialogue, facial expressions, mise-en-scène, and cinematographic composition. The contrast between the mother’s domestic space and her emotional isolation illustrates the separation between social reality and inner experience. The study reveals that the film constructs loneliness not merely as an emotional condition but as a social discourse reflecting the marginalization of women’s roles in modern families. In conclusion, Saussurean semiotics provides a framework for understanding how cinematic language conveys complex meanings of maternal loneliness.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the digital marketing communication strategies of the SBT Enhypen fandom community in promoting K-Pop merchandise through the X platform (formerly Twitter). As part of the global K-Pop culture, fandoms have become active agents of digital marketing, transforming fan participation into a form of collective consumption and brand advocacy. Using a theoretical study approach, this research explores how communication strategies on social media—particularly on X—serve to build awareness, engagement, and loyalty among fans. The analysis draws upon concepts of digital marketing communication, the promotion mix, and the AIDA model. The findings reveal that fandom-based digital marketing employs a combination of interactive communication, emotional attachment, and cultural identity narratives to drive consumption behavior. Moreover, the SBT Enhypen community illustrates how user-generated content, hashtags, and real-time interactions can function as powerful tools for product dissemination and fan mobilization. In conclusion, digital marketing communication within fandoms not only contributes to product promotion but also reinforces the cultural ecosystem of participatory media in contemporary pop culture.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Love-Based Curriculum at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) Al-Islah Palembang as an effort to build humanistic and character-based education. The Love-Based Curriculum emphasizes values of compassion, empathy, and social responsibility integrated across all subjects. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, including data reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. The results show that the implementation of the Love-Based Curriculum at MI Al-Islah fosters affection, respect for diversity, and collaborative learning. Teachers play a crucial role in creating an empathetic environment and instilling love values in academic and non-academic activities. The curriculum has improved students’ self-confidence, empathy, discipline, and character. Despite challenges such as limited time and class size, collaboration between teachers and parents supports success. Overall, the curriculum effectively integrates intellectual, emotional, spiritual, and social dimensions, making it a transformative Islamic education model.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze how students of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) at Universitas Tanjungpura utilize social media as a means of political education, and to identify supporting factors and challenges. This phenomenon is significant because social media now serves as a new public space influencing the mindset, critical attitudes, and political awareness of the younger generation. Using a qualitative descriptive method, data were collected through in-depth interviews, direct observations, and relevant document analysis involving 16 active social media users. The findings indicate that social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and WhatsApp play an important role in enhancing students’ understanding of civic rights and duties, broadening access to political information, and encouraging participation in public discourse. However, challenges identified include the spread of hoaxes, political fatigue, and limited digital literacy. Theoretically, this study contributes to the understanding of digital political socialization by highlighting social media's dual function as an educational platform and a space vulnerable to misinformation. Practically, it underscores the need for sustained digital literacy enhancement and academic support to effectively leverage social media for nonformal political education. This study emphasizes the importance of synergy between educational institutions and digital spaces in fostering a critical and democratic political culture among students.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Buy Two Get One Free (B2G1F) sales promotion on consumers’ purchasing decisions for Mie Sakera, a local instant noodle brand from Jember. The research uses a quantitative associative approach with an explanatory design to examine the causal relationship between B2G1F promotion (X) and purchasing decision (Y). Data were collected from 35 respondents through questionnaires consisting of eight indicators for sales promotion and six indicators for purchasing decision. The results of the validity and reliability tests indicate that all items are valid and reliable, with Cronbach’s Alpha values of 0.608 (X) and 0.716 (Y). The normality test using Shapiro-Wilk shows that the data meet the normal distribution assumption, while the linearity test confirms a significant linear relationship between the two variables (Sig. Linearity = 0.001). The simple linear regression analysis produces a correlation coefficient (R) of 0.436 and a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.190, meaning that 19% of purchasing decision variations can be explained by the B2G1F promotion. Furthermore, the regression equation Y = 44.958 + 0.483X with a t-value of 2.787 and Sig. = 0.009 (<0.05) indicates a significant positive effect of the promotion on purchasing decisions. Thus, the B2G1F strategy is proven effective in increasing consumer purchase intention and product attractiveness, suggesting that local brands like Mie Sakera can enhance competitiveness through promotional programs combined with consistent product quality and digital marketing efforts.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of strengthening character education through the integration of local wisdom values in learning. The values of Pepali Ki Ageng Selo contain moral teachings such as honesty, responsibility, and self-control that are relevant to the formation of students' character. This study aims to develop and test the effectiveness of the self-monitoring strategy based on the values of Pepali Ki Ageng Selo in increasing self-awareness, behavior control, and internalizing moral values of grade VIII students of Baitul Arqom Junior High School. The research method uses a Research and Development (R&D) approach with data collection techniques through questionnaires, in-depth interviews, and participatory observation. Quantitative results showed an increase in the average score in the aspect of self-awareness from 60.3 to 74.2, behavior control from 57.9 to 72.5, and internalization of Pepali value from 55.8 to 71.3. Meanwhile, qualitative results showed positive changes in students' behavior who were more reflective, able to control themselves, and apply moral values in daily life. These findings show that Pepali's value-based self-monitoring strategy is effective in strengthening character education based on local culture.

Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of social media marketing on the sales of banana chips produced by the MSME AYOfficial in Kupang Regency, and identifies the most effective platform. Using a quantitative approach with SmartPLS analysis on 100 respondents, the results show that TikTok, Instagram, and WhatsApp have a significant impact on sales, while Facebook does not have a significant effect. The R-square value of 0.713 indicates that social media can explain 71.3% of the variation in sales. TikTok and WhatsApp are recommended as the primary focus for the MSME's marketing strategy. TikTok Marketing (X1) exerted the most influence with a t-statistic of 2.178, a p-value of 0.029, and a Beta coefficient value (β) of 0.588. WhatsApp Marketing (X3) also had a significant effect with a t-statistic of 2.142, a p-value of 0.032, and a Beta coefficient (β) of 0.572. Instagram Marketing (X2) showed significant but smaller influence, with a t-statistic of 1.998, a p-value of 0.046, and a Beta coefficient (β) of 0.149. In contrast, Facebook Marketing (X4) had no significant effect on sales (t-statistic 1.187; p-value 0.235), (2) Overall, TikTok was the most effective social media in increasing sales, followed by WhatsApp and Instagram. The marketing strategy on TikTok as the main medium is proven to be the most influential on sales, by optimizing creative content, trends, and influencer collaborations. TikTok and WhatsApp are suggested as the main focus of marketing MSME products.
