Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has significantly transformed investment activities in Indonesia’s capital market, particularly through the use of online stock trading applications. These applications provide convenience, efficiency, and broader access for the public to participate in digital investment activities. However, along with the increasing number of users, various legal issues have emerged, including data security, investor protection, transaction transparency, and the potential for unlawful activities within digital trading platforms. This study aims to analyze the legal certainty of digital investment through online stock trading applications in Indonesia and to examine the role of regulations in protecting investors within the digital capital market system. The research employs a normative juridical method using a statutory and conceptual approach by analyzing laws, regulations, legal literature, and related legal principles. The findings indicate that Indonesia has established several regulations governing digital investment activities through the capital market framework under the supervision of the Financial Services Authority and the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Nevertheless, challenges remain regarding legal protection, regulatory adaptation to technological advancements, and public legal awareness in digital investment practices. Therefore, stronger legal enforcement, adaptive regulations, and increased investor education are necessary to ensure legal certainty and create a secure digital investment environment in Indonesia.

Abstract

The controversy surrounding the Four Pillars Quiz Competition (Lomba Cerdas Cermat/LCC) organized by the Indonesian People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR RI) in West Kalimantan attracted public attention after participants questioned inconsistencies in the scoring process during the final round. The issue developed into public discourse on social media and raised concerns regarding the transparency of institutional communication in managing the conflict. This study aims to analyze institutional communication strategies in addressing the controversy through the perspective of Two-Way Symmetrical Communication. Using a qualitative library research approach, data were collected from scholarly articles, online news, institutional documents, and relevant literature on organizational communication, crisis communication, and Two-Way Symmetrical Communication. The findings show that the organizers demonstrated dialogue, feedback acceptance, and institutional adaptation; however, these practices remained partial. Communication adaptation became evident after the conflict escalated through evaluations, suspension of related parties, and public apologies, emphasizing the importance of responsive and dialogic communication strategies.

Abstract

This article analyzes the influence of participatory supervision and human resource management on the effectiveness of election supervision performance at the Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) of Southeast Maluku Regency. The study uses a quantitative associative design involving 68 respondents consisting of Bawaslu members, secretariat staff, and supporting/ad hoc supervision personnel. Data were collected through a closed Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, and multiple linear regression. The findings show that participatory supervision has a positive and significant effect on supervision effectiveness (B = 0.776; t = 10.214; p < 0.001) and becomes the most dominant predictor. Conversely, human resource management has a positive but non-significant partial effect (B = 0.092; t = 1.114; p = 0.269). Simultaneously, both variables significantly explain supervision effectiveness (F = 323.627; p < 0.001; Adjusted R2 = 0.906). The study implies that participatory public oversight should be strengthened alongside contextual HR development, especially in archipelagic electoral supervision settings.

Abstract

This article examines the influence of motivation, work discipline, and workload on employee productivity at the Secretariat of the Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) of Maluku Province. The study employed a quantitative associative survey design involving 164 employees, with the whole accessible population treated as respondents through a census approach. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed through validity and reliability testing, classical assumption testing, and multiple linear regression. The results show that motivation has a positive but non-significant effect on productivity (B = 0.040; t = 0.518; p = 0.605). In contrast, work discipline has a positive and significant effect (B = 0.293; t = 5.539; p < 0.001), while workload is the most dominant predictor (B = 0.545; t = 6.513; p < 0.001). Simultaneously, the three variables significantly affect productivity (F = 375.829; p < 0.001; Adjusted R2 = 0.873). The findings highlight the need for disciplined work systems, proportional workload management, and output-based productivity monitoring in legislative-support bureaucracy.

Abstract

Thematic instruction in elementary education integrates multiple subject areas under a common theme to promote meaningful learning experiences. This study examines the relationship between thematic learning, student engagement, and conceptual understanding in elementary schools using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR). A total of 20 Indonesian journal articles published between 2020 and 2025 were selected based on predefined inclusion criteria and analyzed thematically. The findings reveal that thematic learning increases student engagement through interactive discussions, inquiry-based learning, and collaborative activities. In addition, integrating different subject areas helps students develop deeper conceptual understanding by connecting learning with real-life contexts. The effectiveness of thematic learning is influenced by teachers’ competence in designing integrated instruction, selecting appropriate learning strategies, and utilizing relevant instructional media. Therefore, integrated thematic learning is an effective approach for improving both student engagement and conceptual understanding in elementary education.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the concept and implementation of human resource management (HRM) in Islamic Religious Education (IRE). The method used is a library research approach with descriptive-analytical techniques applied to various relevant literature sources. The findings indicate that HRM in IRE encompasses managerial functions including planning, recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and compensation, all of which are integrated with Islamic values. Effective HRM has been shown to contribute significantly to improving teacher competence, work motivation, and the quality of IRE learning. However, several challenges remain, including low professionalism among educators, limited funding, inadequate mastery of digital technology, and the suboptimal integration of Islamic values with modern management systems. This study concludes that human resource management in Islamic education must be carried out systematically, sustainably, and based on Islamic values in order to realize quality education and produce generations that are both intellectually excellent and morally virtuous.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the problems underlying Islamic Religious Education (IRE) learning policies and formulate a reconstruction framework from the perspective of Islamic Education Management. Despite its strategic role in character development, IRE continues to face challenges related to curriculum rigidity, limited teacher professionalism, digital transformation, and policy implementation. This study employed a qualitative library research approach through literature review and policy document analysis. Data were collected from fifteen relevant academic sources, including journal articles, books, and educational policy documents published between 2019 and 2026. The findings reveal that the implementation of IRE learning policies is constrained by four major managerial weaknesses: inadequate human resources, limited digital adaptation, weak stakeholder collaboration, and the absence of systematic strategic planning. To address these issues, the study proposes a policy reconstruction framework based on four principles of Islamic Education Management: itqan (professionalism), syura (consultation), taghyir (adaptive change), and tashwir (strategic planning). The framework integrates Islamic values with contemporary managerial functions to support more effective and sustainable policy implementation. The study recommends the development of flexible, technology-oriented, and collaborative IRE policies to improve the quality and relevance of Islamic education in the contemporary era.

Abstract

Waste management is a critical public service that influences environmental quality and community welfare. Differences in urban spatial characteristics may affect the quality of waste management services and public satisfaction. This study aims to analyze differences in public satisfaction toward waste management across regional typologies in Palembang City. A quantitative comparative approach was employed using survey data collected from residents in six sub-districts representing city core, suburban, and fringe areas. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and the Kruskal–Wallis test due to non-normal data distribution. The results showed that the city core area had the highest average satisfaction score (M = 3.67), followed by suburban (M = 3.59) and fringe areas (M = 3.41). However, the Kruskal–Wallis test indicated that the differences were not statistically significant (H = 3.680; p = 0.159). Although no significant differences were found, a spatial pattern suggests lower satisfaction levels in areas farther from the city center. These findings emphasize the need to incorporate spatial considerations into waste management policies to achieve more equitable and effective service delivery.

Abstract

This study examines how Indonesian tuberculosis (TB) posters construct health messages through multimodal resources. It analyzes five public health posters using Kress and van Leeuwen's visual grammar to explore representational, interactive, and compositional meanings. A qualitative Multimodal Discourse Analysis was applied to posters on TB symptoms, drug-resistant TB, treatment side effects, healthy lifestyles, and cough etiquette. The findings show that representational meanings depict TB through symptoms, treatment risks, and preventive practices using both narrative and conceptual processes. Interactive meanings are mainly realized through offer images, eye-level perspectives, medium social distance, and low-modality illustrations that make health information accessible, while the drug-resistant TB poster creates greater urgency through a more confrontational design. Compositionally, titles, icon clusters, color salience, and segmented framing organize information into clear and memorable messages. The study concludes that Indonesian TB posters function as effective multimodal tools that strengthen public understanding, treatment awareness, preventive behavior, and institutional trust.

Abstract

Educator standard policies in Indonesia often remain formal administrative milestones, sidelining actual teaching quality. This study analyzes the effectiveness of teacher standard policies across all education levels in Indonesia, from qualification and certification regulations to recent pedagogical and digital reforms, through a strategic human resource management (HRM) lens. Using a literature review, the study analyzed 13 peer-reviewed articles (2021–2025), selected for relevance, credibility, and recency, applying William Dunn's (2003) policy analysis model for its critical, prescriptive approach. Findings reveal a systemic paradox: despite 97.33% compliance with S1/D4 qualifications, average teacher competency scores (UKG) remain only 50.64/100, suggesting certification functions as an administrative formality rather than a driver of substantive competency. This pattern is compounded by limited PPPK recruitment (23–33% of target) and Indonesia's low 2023 TIMSS ranking (68th of 80 countries). The study concludes that curricular and technological innovations risk failing without a shift toward humanistic, strategic HRM.
