Abstract

This study aims to deconstruct the phenomenon of inspiration porn through the representation of Children with Special Needs (ABK) on the Instagram account @abk.umkm.indonesia. The primary issue addressed is the ethical ambiguity in sharenting practices and the potential for disability commodification within digital spaces. The research utilizes Teun A. van Dijk's Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) with a qualitative-interpretative approach. The multimodal data consists of caption texts, visual video elements, and audio narratives. A purposive sampling technique was applied, selecting all 145 posts from January 2024 to January 2026 that achieved above-average interaction rates. Data collection was conducted through digital documentation, text scrapping, video transcription, and passive participant observation. Findings reveal a paradigm shift in representation from "pity objects" to empowered "economic agents". Textually, the account consistently employs empowerment diction and professional visualizations to highlight creative potential . Cognitively, the account managers demonstrate a conscious effort to break the stigma by emphasizing the commercial value of the children's work. In a social context, this practice serves as a resistance discourse against systemic ableism. However, a paradox of positive commodification remains, where disability identity is utilized as a Unique Selling Point (USP) to capture algorithmic attention. This study concludes that while the account successfully re-brands disability identity, it still leaves a challenge regarding conditional social acceptance, which requires individuals with special needs to constantly appear productive.

Abstract

This article examines gendered vulnerability to child labour in Makassar City using empirical secondary data from official statistics and local social-sector records. The study applies a descriptive quantitative approach supported by document analysis of Sakernas 2024, BPS Makassar publications, BPS national child-labour tables, and Satu Data Makassar social data. It also uses an indicative estimation approach by applying the provincial child-labour prevalence to the estimated population aged 10-17 in Makassar; therefore, the estimate is interpreted as a vulnerability signal rather than an official city-level count. The findings show that Makassar has a large adolescent population, while South Sulawesi recorded a relatively high child-labour prevalence of 5.28 percent in 2024. Gendered labour-market patterns are evident: women’s labour-force participation is far below men’s, and women are highly concentrated in unpaid household responsibilities. Local records also show child street, neglected-child, and violence cases that require integrated social welfare responses. The article argues that child-labour prevention in Makassar should combine household economic protection, gender-sensitive case management, school retention, and community-based outreach.

Abstract

Low mathematical problem-solving ability causes students to experience various difficulties in understanding arithmetic sequences and series. This study aimed to analyze students’ learning difficulties and the factors influencing them in terms of mathematical problem-solving ability. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed involving Grade X E3 students of SMA Negeri 17 Merangin. Data were collected through mathematical problem-solving tests, interviews, observations, and documentation, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The findings revealed that students experienced conceptual, representational, procedural, and strategic difficulties, with varying levels across problem-solving ability categories. Students with low problem-solving ability demonstrated the most dominant difficulties in all aspects. The factors contributing to learning difficulties consisted of internal and external factors. These findings indicate that enhancing mathematical problem-solving ability should become a primary focus of mathematics instruction to reduce students’ learning difficulties.

Abstract

This study examines the “Dual Banking Leverage Model (Office Channeling)” strategy for CIMB Niaga Syariah's IB Savings product sales, a leading strategy for CIMB Niaga Syariah to increase Third Party Funds (DPK), specifically for its IB Syariah Savings product. This study uses a descriptive qualitative analysis method that systematically, timely, and reliably describes the relationships between the phenomena studied. CIMB Niaga Syariah uses the Dual Banking Leverage Model (DBLM) through Office Channeling to implement its IB Savings product marketing strategy. This strategy expands sales of IB Syariah Savings products beyond Sharia branches to include conventional branch channels. The results of the discussion show that the Office Channeling Strategy is a superior strategy that contributes very relevantly to increasing Sharia Third Party Funds, especially for Ib Savings products at CIMB Niaga Syariah.

Abstract

The problem in this study is that students’ mathematical communication skills are still not optimal, particularly in representing mathematical ideas, using mathematical symbols and notations appropriately, and explaining problem-solving procedures systematically. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach involving 16 tenth-grade students. Data were collected through written tests, observations, and documentation, and analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña model, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that students’ mathematical communication skills were at a moderate level. Of the 16 students, 3 students (16.75%) were categorized as high, 10 students (62.5%) as moderate, and 3 students (20.75%) as low. High-category students were able to communicate ideas systematically and explain procedures clearly, while moderate and low-category students still faced difficulties in representation, notation use, and procedural explanation. Thus, mathematical communication skills in exponents and logarithms need further improvement.
