Abstract

The public sector, particularly hospitals, plays a crucial role in the provision of quality health services. However, many hospitals, including RSUD Datu Sanggul, face challenges in human resource management (HRM) that result in service performance. This study aims to analyze the functions of human resource management (HRM) in the Regional General Hospital (RSUD) Datu Sanggul and its impact on service performance, especially in the Surgical Poly. The method used is a qualitative approach with an exploratory design. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, and documentation studies, involving 14 hospital leaders as respondents. The results showed that the recruitment and selection process of medical personnel at RSUD Datu Sanggul was still less than optimal, with several inequities and competency mismatches. The implementation of training and development programs for medical personnel recorded activities, but the evaluation of the results was minimal, indicating a lack of impact on performance improvement. In addition, performance appraisal systems and compensation policies also need to be improved to attract and retain medical personnel. This study provides recommendations to improve transparency and standards in the recruitment process, training evaluation, and compensation policy adjustments in order to improve the quality of health services at RSUD Datu Sanggul

Abstract

An auction is a form of creative buying and selling transaction, where one party commits to give up ownership of goods and the other party agrees to pay the agreed price. This research aims to analyze the legal certainty and protection given to buyers of auction goods, as well as to understand how the auction mechanism can protect the rights of buyers from third party claims. This research uses a normative juridical approach, namely assessing and evaluating formal legal regulations relating to auctions. This method is carried out by analyzing positive legal norms and regulations governing the auction process in Indonesia. The results showed that legal protection for auction buyers is guaranteed through provisions in the Auction Regulations which state that goods purchased through auctions are free from third party claims. Auction buyers have absolute rights to the auction goods they buy, which can be defended from the demands of any party. Preventive legal protection is guaranteed by applicable regulations, which provide legal evidence in the form of auction minutes as the basis for the transfer of ownership rights. This is important to reduce legal risks and ensure fairness in auction transactions. Legal certainty for auction buyers is essential to ensure that the goods purchased are protected from third-party claims

Abstract

Early Clinical Exposure (ECE) is a teaching-learning methodology that involves exposing medical students to patients or clinical scenarios early in the first year of medical education. In this study, the focus is on fifth-semester students, particularly on the integration of basic knowledge with clinical knowledge of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (DMT2), the role of multidisciplinary teams, and interprofessional collaboration. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of early clinical exposure in integrating basic knowledge with clinical knowledge of DMT2 and knowledge of interprofessional collaboration among medical students at Universitas Prima Indonesia. The method used in this research is a quantitative approach with an experimental design, specifically quasi-experimental research. In this design, 124 fifth-semester medical students from Universitas Prima Indonesia will be given a pretest before participating in Early Clinical Exposure (ECE) and a posttest after completing Early Clinical Exposure (ECE). The results of this study indicate a significant difference in the integration of basic knowledge with clinical knowledge of DMT2 and knowledge of interprofessional collaboration among medical students at Universitas Prima Indonesia, with a p-value of 0.000 (p < 0.05). Therefore, it can be concluded that Early Clinical Exposure (ECE) is effective in improving the integration of basic knowledge with clinical knowledge of DMT2 and knowledge of interprofessional collaboration among medical students at Universitas Prima Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of liquidity, leverage, profitability, and operating cash flow on the possibility of financial distress at PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk during the period of 2014-2023. Using multiple linear regression methods, this research processes financial data obtained from annual financial statements. The analysis results indicate that liquidity and leverage have a significant negative effect on the likelihood of financial distress, while profitability shows a significant positive effect. Operating cash flow does not demonstrate significant influence within this model. The research model has a fairly good explanatory capacity, with an adjusted R-squared of 63.73%. These findings suggest that effective working capital management and strategic use of debt can reduce the risk of financial distress; however, aggressive growth strategies reflected in high profitability increase that risk. This research provides insights into the financial dynamics within Indonesia's construction industry and can assist in formulating more effective risk management strategies.

Abstract

Pepper is one of the spices that has an important function in the global food industry. Although Indonesia is one of the major pepper producers, it faces considerable challenges from competing countries such as Vietnam and Brazil. This study aims to evaluate the competitiveness of Indonesian pepper in the global market, identify factors that affect export performance, and provide strategic recommendations to improve Indonesia's position in the international market. This study uses a quantitative descriptive approach to evaluate the competitiveness of Indonesian pepper. Secondary data used are export statistics and global commodity market reports. The Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) and Export Product Dynamic (EPD) methods were used to analyze pepper export performance. The results showed that Indonesia experienced a decline in participation in the global value chain of pepper, with a decrease in exports from 29,692 tons in 2019 to 12,945 tons in 2022. Although Indonesia has an advantage in natural resources, it faces challenges from competing countries that have lower production costs and more efficient farming systems. Indonesia's pepper competitiveness is influenced by several factors such as product quality, innovation, and government policy support. Cooperation between the government and farmers is essential to improve the competitiveness of pepper in the international market. This study confirms that although Indonesia has great potential in pepper production, the existing challenges require serious attention. Improving Indonesia's pepper competitiveness requires the application of modern agricultural technology, product diversification, as well as stronger collaboration among all stakeholders.

Abstract

This study discusses efforts for legal renewal in fulfilling the right to public health, with a specific focus on the fulfillment of health rights for women in Indonesia. In this context, the research analyzes various existing policies and regulations, as well as the challenges faced in their implementation. The research method used is literature review, in which data is collected from various sources, including laws, government regulations, and related academic literature. The research results indicate that although there are several regulations supporting health rights for women, there are still many obstacles in accessing quality health services, including discrimination, stigma, and a lack of understanding of health rights. Legal renewal is necessary to strengthen the protection of women's health rights, including through increasing the capacity of health services, education about health rights, and strengthening the role of civil society. This article recommends the need for collaboration between the government, health institutions, and society to create an environment that supports the fulfillment of women's health rights in a comprehensive and sustainable manner.

Abstract

Regulations on working hours for Medical Specialist Education Program (PPDS) participants in Indonesia play an important role in maintaining a balance between education and health services. However, legal loopholes and lack of supervision have led to many PPDS participants being forced to work beyond the prescribed limits, which negatively affects their physical and mental health. This study aims to analyze existing regulations related to PPDS working hours, identify legal loopholes that affect the welfare of participants, and provide recommendations for regulatory improvements. The method used in this research is a normative legal research method with a legislative and conceptual approach. The data used are secondary sources, including relevant laws, legal journals, and official government documents. The results show that although there are regulations governing working hours, their implementation is often inconsistent in the field. Many PPDS participants reported working hours exceeding 80 hours per week, especially in emergency situations. This finding indicates the need for legal reform to create a better system. In conclusion, regulatory reforms regarding working hours for PPDS participants are urgently needed to ensure the welfare of participants and the quality of health services. Recommendations for improvement include stricter enforcement of working hour limits, improved supervision systems, and active collaboration with the Ministry of Health.
