Abstract

This research article aims to analyse the role of branding images and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) in strengthening the quality of education in Islamic schools. The research uses a qualitative descriptive approach, conducted at Khadijah High School in Surabaya. Data was collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, then analysed descriptively while maintaining data validity through source and technique triangulation. The results show that branding images are built through consistency in institutional identity, academic reputation, quality of educational services, and the strengthening of religious values, which contribute to increased public trust and interest. CRM is implemented through the management of ongoing relationships with students, parents, alumni, and the community, thereby encouraging stakeholder satisfaction and loyalty. The synergy between branding images and CRM has proven to have a positive impact on the sustainable strengthening of Islamic education quality. These findings confirm that the integration of branding and customer relationship management strategies is an effective approach to improving the competitiveness and sustainability of Islamic educational institutions.

Abstract

Islamic moderation values are the core of Islamic teachings that place balance, justice, and tolerance as the foundation of human life. This concept not only includes the dimension of worship, but also includes social, political, and cultural relations. Moderation in Islam teaches a balance between worldly and ukhrawi aspects, encourages respect for diversity, and rejects extremes that have the potential to divide society. In the context of the Qur'an, the concept of moderation is reflected in verses such as Surah Al-Baqarah (2:143), which describes Muslims as ummatan wasathan (middle ummah). This emphasizes the importance of being fair and balanced in all aspects of life. Meanwhile, the Hadith emphasizes the application of moderation by emphasizing the importance of avoiding excessive or fanatical attitudes in carrying out religious teachings. The application of these values in social life has become very relevant in the modern era, where society faces various challenges such as intolerance, polarization, and radicalism. Moderation serves as a middle ground that avoids extremism and exclusivism, creating a space for dialogue, cooperation, and mutual respect. Therefore, Islamic moderation is not only a theological principle but also a practical solution to build a peaceful and inclusive social order

Abstract

Education plays a highly strategic role in developing competent human resources capable of facing global challenges. However, despite Indonesia's education budget constituting 20% of the national budget (APBN), significant issues persist regarding uneven distribution and inefficiency in fund allocation, particularly in remote areas. Transparent and accountable budget management is crucial to addressing these issues and improving the effectiveness of education budget management in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze relevant education financing models, explore effective budget management practices, and identify challenges and solutions to enhance the efficiency of education budget management. Through an in-depth literature review, the study finds that while Indonesia's education financing model includes substantial funding, inefficiencies in allocation remain, and a public-private partnership model could be a potential solution by improving coordination and transparency. Moreover, effective budget management is hindered by a lack of human resource competence and weak policy oversight. Therefore, enhancing human resource capacity through technology-based training and professional certification is critically needed, especially in remote areas. The study concludes that public-private collaboration and improved systems for more transparent and accountable budget management can enhance the quality of education in Indonesia. Recommendations include strengthening coordination, oversight, and the utilization of information technology.

Abstract

This article explores the integration of counselling within educational frameworks through the lens of Christian pedagogy and edification, focusing on its role in the holistic development of educators and students in Eastern Thessaloniki, Greece. The study aims to outline how Christian values can be effectively integrated into counselling practices to address personal, pedagogic, and social challenges such as bullying and interpersonal conflicts encountered in modern school reality. Utilizing a research methodology that synthesizes existing literature with Christian pedagogical strategies, the study proposes the "Christian-Based Counselling Model". Results indicate that incorporating values like kindness, compassion, and forgiveness fosters a supportive environment for effective decision-making. Key findings highlight the effectiveness of structured steps, including active listening, the use of biblical narratives for spiritual guidance, and the creation of "quiet spaces" for reflection. These practices, along with communal activities such as thematic clubs and educational visits, reinforce a sense of belonging and ethical growth. The implications suggest that this synergistic approach provides a robust framework for navigating spiritual crises and professional obstacles, ultimately empowering members of the school community to become ethically sensitive and resilient participants in contemporary society.

Abstract

The CORE learning model (Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, and Extending) is an instructional approach that emphasizes active student engagement in connecting knowledge, organizing information, reflecting on understanding, and extending the application of concepts to real-life situations. This study integrated the CORE model with an interactive e-module to enhance the critical thinking skills of vocational students majoring in Office Management. The research employed a one-group pretest–posttest design involving a saturated sample of 36 tenth-grade students at SMK Hidayah Semarang. Data were collected through pretest and posttest instruments and were analyzed using a paired-sample t-test. The results indicated that the mean score increased from 58.78 (moderate category) to 72.56 (good category). Furthermore, the paired-sample t-test yielded a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a statistically significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores. Therefore, the CORE learning model assisted by an interactive e-module was proven to be effective in improving students’ critical thinking skills in the Digital Document subject. Practically, these findings imply that teachers may adopt the CORE model integrated with interactive e-modules as an alternative instructional strategy to promote active learning and foster higher-order thinking skills in vocational education.
