The results of this research are that two marketing channels occur, of the two marketing channels, namely marketing channel I is less efficient with an efficiency value of 89.79% than marketing channel II with an efficiency value of 86.27%. The marketing margin in marketing pattern I obtains a relatively large total margin compared to the total margin in marketing pattern II. Farmer’s share obtained from each marketing channel is different.  The tuna marketing strategy that can be used is development network market, promotion, product innovation as well as utilizing additional capital from the Government/Banks, improving the quality of human resources with training, using online media to promote new prices, making processed tuna fish.

Abstract

Understanding the factors influencing consumer buying interest is necessary to attract and retain new customers. Consumers consider several factors before buying, such as price, quality, and business location. This research aims to examine the influence of price, quality, and business location partially and simultaneously on consumer buying interest from fruit traders in Badung Market. The sample was obtained using the accidental sampling method with 45 respondents. The data analysis technique is Partial Least–Structural Equation Modelling with SmartPLS4. The results conclude that price, quality, and business location simultaneously significantly affect consumer buying interest. Partially, Quality and Business Location are known to significantly influence consumer buying interest, while the price variable does not have a significant effect on consumer buying interest.

Abstract

The extreme climate change on the earth's surface in recent years is a serious issue. Agricultural sector has been affected by climate change because it causes crop failure and decreases crop productivity, especially food crops, namely corn. The climatic conditions of the Takalar Regency are generally characterized by high rainfall and drought, particularly at dry times. The purpose of this study is to: (1) Analyze the opinions of corn farmers; (2) Analyze the adaptation pattern of corn farmers; (3) Analyze the factors that influence the adaptation pattern of corn farmers. The first and second objectives were analyzed descriptive quantitatively, and the third objective was analyzed using ordinal logistic regression. The results on 39 farmers being interviewed showed that (1) Corn farmers' opinions regarding changes in temperature, rain intensity, drought have increased in recent years; (2) Adaptation patterns carried out by corn farmers in facing climate change are improving water management, soil management technology, integrated pest control, changing cropping patterns, and adjusting planting time; (3) Factors that affect the pattern of adaptation of corn farmers to climate change are land area, number of dependents of the household head, income, and access to information on climate change.

Abstract

This research was carried out in Lilirilau District, Soppeng Regency from December 2023 to February 2024. This research aims to identify the obstacles faced by tobacco farmers, and strategic programs that can be implemented for the development of Agribusiness-based tobacco farming, using the method of Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM). Research using the ISM method does not require a large sample, so a sample of 7 people was used. This research uses primary and secondary data collection techniques and uses data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. Data processing in research begins with editing, coding answers and processing by using Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM). Shows that the obstacles faced by farmers in carrying out tobacco farming are price fluctuations and the shelf life of tobacco. Furthermore, there are strategic programs that need to be implemented in developing Agribusiness-based tobacco farming.

Abstract

Rice farming in TTU Regency is not only a source of livelihood but also has deep cultural values. The process of farming and harvesting rice plants is often a joint event that strengthens social ties. Rice farming is considered one of the basic and cultural foundations for the agricultural community of TTU Regency. This research aims to determine the implementation of the agribusiness system and the feasibility of lowland rice farming in the East Noemuti District. Primary data was obtained from interviews, documentation, questionnaires and surveys. Meanwhile, researchers obtained secondary data from various references such as journals, theses, books and the Central Statistics Agency. The population of this study was 400 people. The sampling technique used in this research is purposive sampling where the data source is taken with certain considerations. The number of samples in this study was 101 people. The data analysis used by researchers is descriptive analysis and farming feasibility analysis. Research results based on survey results found that farmers in East Noemuti District have implemented the agribusiness system well, although not yet optimally. The results of the feasibility analysis using a cost analysis approach show that lowland rice farming in East Noemuti District is feasible with an R/C Ratio value of 4.0.

Abstract

One of the most widely cultivated agricultural sub-sectors cultivated by farmers in Indonesia is the food crop sub-sector. Based on the topography of tidal swamp land, there are four types of land, namely Type A, B, C, and D. Type C land has the potential to be improved in its land use. One of the most widely cultivated food crop commodities in  Indonesia is soybean.  One way to cultivate soybeans is by optimizing the land, especially tidal land. Based on the topography of tidal swamp land, there are four types of land, namely Type A, B, C, and D. Type B land has the potential to be improved in its land use. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the technical efficiency of farming in tidal marshland, especially in Type Bland. This research was conducted with the objectives of: Sub-district, East Tanjung Jabung Regency, 2) Analyzing the level of technical efficiency of soybean farming in Rantau Rasau sub-district, East Tanjung Jabung Regency, 3) Analyzing the influence of age, education, experience, number of family members and extension workers on the technical inefficiency of soybean farming in Rantau Rasau sub- district, East Tanjung Jabung Regency. The analytical tool used is the analysis of the Stochastic Frontier production function with Cobb-Douglass and calculates the level of efficiency and inefficiency.  This research was conducted in the Rantau Rasau sub-district,  East  Tanjung  Jabung  Regency.  The sampling technique was the census method with a sample of 42 farmers. The data used were secondary and primary.  The results showed that: 1) The condition of the land in the study area is tidal land with an average production of 1,039 Kg. 2) The use of production inputs in the study area was technically efficient reaching 0.751. 3) Simultaneously and partially age, education, experience, number of family members and counselling have no significant effect on production.
