Abstract

Disruption is characterized by the use of technology in almost all fields including Education. The biggest challenge for teachers is to mastery the technology. This study is to determine the role of the Professional Teacher Organization in strengthening Teachers’ Competence in the disruption era as mandated in the Law number 14/2005 about Teacher and Lecturer. The Qualitative method used shows that the digital competency is the aspect to be developed by the teacher through various trainings conducted by the Professional Teacher Organization. The role of this organization is to design the work programs from the National level to the regions. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the organizational leadership, professionalism, and organizational commitment and cooperation with government and non-government institutions.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effect of entrepreneurship orientation and competitive strategies on the business performance of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in the Foods and Beverages Sectors in West Java, Indonesia. The study adopted the following concepts to achieve the aims of the study: (1) Entrepreneurial orientation is a process that is attached to an entrepreneur in carrying out his business operations in the form of a proactive attitude in capturing business opportunities, innovation in producing products and services, and the courage to take risks in decision making (Weerawerdeena, 2003: 410); (2) Competitive strategies are a number of tactical steps to maintain a business so that it has better competitiveness than its competitors through the application of cost leadership, differentiation and focus strategies (Porter 1979); and (3) Business performance is the level of business success in achieving its goals through measurable indicators such as sales growth, capital growth, market growth, and profit growth (Munizu 2010). The study is executed to 120 business owners of the SMEs as the respondents of the study. The data analysis technique applied is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) which is operated through LISREL program. The findings of the study show that the entrepreneurship orientation and competitive strategies simultaneously influenced toward the business performance of SMEs. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of participation in community institutions, access to information sources and the learning process on the agribusiness competence of pepper farmers . The research method uses quantitative. The population is farmers in 14 (fourteen) sub-districts of the West Kalimantan Border Region. The sampling technique used was multistage cluster sampling . The number of samples was 160 pepper farmers. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and documentation. The data processing and analysis technique used Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results of the study concluded that: (1) participation in community institutions had a significant effect on the pepper farmer 's learning process; ( 2) access to information sources has a significant effect on the farmer's learning process ; (3) the farmer's learning process has a significant effect on the agribusiness competence of pepper farmers; (3) the farmer learning process becomes a mediating variable for the influence of participation in community institutions and access to information sources on the agribusiness competence of pepper farmers on the border of West Kalimantan, Indonesia.Keywords: Participation, Information, Learning Process, Agribusiness Competence

Abstract

The aims of this study are to determine the major challenges and root cause in facilities management and to recommend solutions to solve the major challenges in PT MBI, which can also be extended to other manufacturing company. The research employs qualitative method to obtain information and opinion from competent stakeholders through interview. Root cause analysis is determined by mapping the primary data obtained from the interview and extracted into keyword. This study finds there are 6 major challenges and root causes causing the issues in facility management, which are communication and close coordination gap, multiple vendors, unprofessional vendor, poor experience development and training, no SLA and report standardization, and complex scope and activity. The result of this study indicates that PT MBI should conduct tender to implement total facilities management (TFM), create more stringent vendor selection criteria, experienced personnel and regular training, involve users to create SLA, KPI, and report, setup regular meeting structure, and review internal SOD and create proper contractual agreement. The implication of the result indicates the importance of internal processes to trigger facilities management and operation improvement in a company.

Abstract

This study was aimed to analyze the effect of financial statement presentation, the accessibility of financial reports and functional supervision on transparency, and the accountability of Village Fund Allocation (ADD) management in Wironanggan, Gatak, Sukoharjo. The research method used in this research was quantitative research using primary data. It was obtained by distributing questionnaires to respondents who were the village officials of Wironanggan, Gatak, Sukoharjo, the neighbourhood (RT), the hamlet (RW) and the society which was 78 respondents. Data analysis techniques used was multiple linear regression analysis. The result of this study based on data analysis result was that the presentation of accountability report and accessibility did not affect the transparency of village funds management in Wironanggan, whereas the functional supervision had a considerable positive effect on transparency in village fund management. In addition, the results of the study also pointed out that the presentation of accountability report had a significant positive effect on the accountability of village fund management, while the accessibility and functional supervision did not affect the accountability of village fund management.

Abstract

Multinational Companies in a bid to increase their revenue and profit are now eyeing the emerging markets. Further, considering the saturation in the urban market they are now eyeing the rural markets in these countries. Lowering price by reducing the volume, customization, mass production are the strategies of the past, these companies have now come up with innovative strategies wherein they involve the rural population so that they help them in reaching to the customers in the remotest part of the country. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the marketing mix consisting of product, price, place, promotion on word of mouth. This study is also to examine the direct and indirect effects of the marketing mix consisting of product, price, place, promotion on student decisions, and finally the effect of word of mouth on student decisions. The population of this research is the students of SMA Islam Sabilal Muhtadin Banjarmasin. Samples were taken as many as 82 students who were selected as a whole through non-probability sampling. The data collected was analyzed by PLS-SEM (Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling) analysis through the SmartPLS version 3.0 program. The results showed that only place has an effect on word of mouth while the influence of marketing mix on students' decisions to choose Sabilan Muhtadin Islamic High School was only for promotion and place. The latter is word of mouth does not mediate the influence of the marketing mix on students' decisions to choose this Islamic school. It is recommended much more effort is needed to create word of mouth and later will influence student’s decision or recommend others to choose the school. The place and promotion should be maintained in order to make more people join this Islamic High School. Keywords: Marketing mix, product, price, place and promotion, WoM and Students’ decision.

Abstract

This study aimed to find out the effect of market orientation and product creativity on the competitive advantage at Etsuko Kitchen Tomohon. The population was the customer of Etsuko Kitchen Tomohon. The number of samples was calculated based on Lemeshow formula that was as many as 100 respondents. Data collection was conducted using questionnaire. Data analysis that used in this study was t-test, F-test and multiple linear regressions processed using SPSS program, version 2022. The results showed that market orientation variable in t-test had tcount value of 5.026 > ttable value of 1.984 and has significant value of 0.000 < 0.05, and product creativity variable had tcount 10.384 > ttable 1.984 and the significant score of 0.000 < 0.05. The research results showed that market orientation variable and the product creativity partially and simultaneously had positive and significant effect on the competitive advantage. Thus, it could be concluded that the role of market orientation and product creativity on the competitive advantage was 74.4% and the remaining, i.e., 25.6%, was influenced by the other variables which were not included in this study. Keywords: Competitive Advantage, Market Orientation, Product Creativity.

Abstract

The goal of this work is to introduce the Gap Analysis technique as a tool for analyzing perception index of public service innovation measurement data using the measurement instrument provided by the State Administration Agency (LAN) of Indonesia. Customers who use public services are asked their perception regarding public service innovation, which is organized by the Indonesian FDA Provincial office in Pontianak through a survey that uses questionnaires consisting of 23 questions. Improvement Gap analysis is modified to propose a gap analysis technique that can adopt a LAN measurement tool. The result shows how the elements of innovation perform, the dissatisfaction perception level, and the gap between current perception and the targeted category of innovation perception. Furthermore, the two-dimensional matrix was able to distinguish four areas for improvement, namely: critical, keep performance, neutral, and exciting elements. The findings of this study show that, besides the private sector's role and public involvement in the process and or quality improvement of service, uniqueness, new kinds of service, service consistency, and service facilities are the critical elements that need to be improved to achieve excellent innovation perception. Thus, the Indonesian government could be able to adopt the modified technique as a tool that provides decision priority to improve public service innovation performance.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the perceptions of transmigration community regarding the importance of informal education especially in economy. This research is a descriptive qualitative research, considering that the object under study is the natural state of community perceptions, to describe the state of the population and to obtain data by using the method of observation, interviews and documentations. The data collection data is then compiled and analyzed by data reduction, data compilation, and drawing conclusions. From the results of the study it was found that, the transmigration community's perception of informal economic education starts from the family, namely parents as teachers who teach how children able to manages their finances wisely and responsibly so that, when a child getting adult they can be independent and able to manage finances as well apart from that Responsible for their own finances, the experiences gained from parents so that children can successfully manage their finances, through the values that must be possessed by a child to be able to improve the economy that is able to working hard, be brave, willing to developing, never give up, focus, save, live simply, move on, be able to read opportunities and save money by saving.
