Abstract

This study aims to develop a model for digital-based youth entrepreneurship through the activities of Karang Taruna Indonesia (KTI) in Melong Village, South Cimahi District, Cimahi City. Using a descriptive qualitative approach with research and development (R&D) methods, this study combines field observations, interviews, and focus group discussions with members and administrators of Karang Taruna. The findings show that entrepreneurial activities within KTI are still conventional and have not been integrated with digital marketing platforms. The developed model emphasizes three components: input, process, and output, which include training, mentoring, and digital literacy enhancement. Validation results from experts and practitioners indicate that the model is feasible for implementation and can be used as a reference for developing youth entrepreneurship in other community organizations.

Abstract

Abstract

This community service program aims to strengthen language teachers’ visual literacy through the implementation of Deep Learning and the Genre-Based Approach (GBA) in teaching narrative texts. Visual literacy is an essential 21st-century skill that enables teachers to critically interpret and integrate visual meanings in multimodal learning. The program involved 20 language teachers—of Sundanese, Indonesian, English, and Arabic—from an Islamic senior high school in Garut. The training was designed through a Digital Storytelling-based simulation emphasizing the four stages of GBA: Building Knowledge of the Field, Modelling of the Text, Joint Construction of the Text, and Independent Construction of the Text. Through a Deep Learning approach, participants developed a deeper understanding of the interconnection between visual and linguistic elements within narrative texts. The results indicate an improvement in teachers’ ability to design multimodal text instruction that is both reflective and contextually meaningful.

Abstract

This study analyzes the effectiveness of the Koperasi Kelurahan Merah Putih in Surabaya as an institutional solution to urban competitiveness challenges. Amidst Surabaya's economic growth of 5.76%, the primary challenge for its 12,320 MSMEs is the penetration of modern retail and fintech. Utilizing the framework of Economic Institutionalism Theory, this research examines six strategic innovations, including the transformation of cooperatives into B2B aggregators, the integration of the Simkopdes system with the E-Peken platform, and the Credit Plus Mentoring model. The analysis results indicate that cooperatives functioning as "Mega-Suppliers" and curation centers can reduce transaction costs while creating an integrated mentoring ecosystem. These innovations allow cooperatives to become more than just business units; they become the supply backbone for the city's digital ecosystem without suppressing other local economic businesses.
