Abstract

Coconut (Cocos nucifera L.) is a cultivated tree due to its many benefits. Coconut can be processed into coconut water, coconut milk, coconut sugar, and coconut oil. The waste from VCO processing can be used as coconut flour. Coconut flour can be processed into gluten-free foods that are beneficial for health. Coconut flour is produced by drying coconut pulp, roasting, grinding, and sieving. The resulting coconut flour has a pure white to yellowish white color with a distinctive coconut aroma. Coconut flour is processed into healthy, non-gluten foods for diabetics, such as gluten-free banana cake. Coconut water can be used as a facial mask that functions to moisturize the skin. Community service activities by utilizing the potential of natural resources in Panca Mukti village are very targeted. Based on the results of the questionnaire, there was an increase in community knowledge after the extension and training activities were carried out. This activity also aims to improve the community's economy by utilizing coconut pulp.

Abstract

This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to enhance the capacity of the Sukatani Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDes) managers in optimizing resource management and livestock housing management within the laying-hen farming business unit. The program was conducted through pretests, training sessions, discussions, and posttests involving village officials and BUMDes management members. The pretest results indicated a low level of understanding regarding resource management, poultry housing practices, and the role of BUMDes in improving village economic welfare. After the training, the posttest results showed a significant improvement in participants’ knowledge of operational management, cage sanitation, feed administration, and financial recording. The training proved effective in strengthening managerial competencies for more productive and sustainable BUMDes operations. Therefore, this PKM activity contributes to institutional capacity building and supports increased village income.

Abstract

The Orang Tua Tangguh Program was implemented to strengthen parental emotional resilience and positive parenting practices among members of the Kelompok Keluarga Sehat Berdaya (KKSB) in Garut Regency. Grounded in the Lazarus–Folkman Appraisal Theory and Systemic Functional Linguistic (SFL) Appraisal, the program combined psychoeducation, language-based parenting training, reflective journaling, and group counseling over a two-month period. A total of 25 parents, primarily mothers of children aged 4–6 years, participated actively with an average attendance rate of 82%. The program led to notable improvements in parental emotional regulation, confidence, and communication patterns, with participants reporting reduced emotional outbursts and increased use of empathetic, validating language toward children. These behavioral changes contributed to better child responsiveness, decreased daily conflicts, and emerging emotional expression skills among young children. At the community level, the initiative produced a practical module on positive parenting language and fostered local role models who now support neighboring families. The findings demonstrate that integrating linguistic appraisal with psychological coping frameworks is effective in enhancing family well-being, especially in communities with socio-economic vulnerabilities.

Abstract
