Abstract

This classroom action research (CAR) was motivated by the low learning outcomes of Grade VII students at SMP Negeri 6 Bukittinggi, particularly in the subject of drawing flora. The main issues identified were students’ low learning motivation and the teacher’s limited use of engaging instructional media. The study was conducted over two cycles, each consisting of two sessions. Data were collected through teacher observation sheets, student observation sheets, and assessments of learning outcomes via written and practical tests. The aim of the study was to improve student learning outcomes through the use of video tutorial media. The results showed a significant improvement: in Cycle I, learning mastery reached 61.29%, which increased to 90.32% in Cycle II. These findings confirm that the use of video tutorial media is effective in enhancing student learning outcomes in flora drawing lessons for Grade VII students at SMP Negeri 6 Bukittinggi in the 2025/2026 academic year.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effect of heat treatment on the hardness of ST 37 steel, analyze the structural strength of a cutting blade using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) on AISI 1045 material, and test the functional performance of a corn sheller machine under varying rotational speeds. Vickers hardness testing (ASTM E18) revealed that tempering at 250°C for one hour increased the hardness of ST 37 steel from 138.3 VHN to 285.1 VHN, accompanied by a reduction in indentation diameter from 0.658 mm to 0.317 mm. Static simulation using SolidWorks showed a maximum von Mises stress of 0.05928 MPa, significantly below the AISI 1045 yield strength of 530 MPa. The maximum displacement was recorded at 1.16×10⁻⁵ mm, with a Factor of Safety (FoS) of 8,940.2, indicating that the material is highly safe for use. Functional testing of the machine showed that increasing the rotational speed from 380 rpm to 1200 rpm significantly improved the working capacity from 503.3 kg/hour to 828.5 kg/hour, with shelling efficiency rising from 88.08% to 98.05%. Overall, this study provides a scientific basis for material selection and blade design development to enhance the performance and reliability of corn sheller machines in the agricultural sector.

Abstract

This article explores the concept of happiness in the Qur’an based on Surah Ali Imran verse 14, which illustrates human inclinations toward worldly pleasures such as wealth, children, and the enjoyments of life. These pleasures are viewed as part of human nature (fitrah), yet they are temporary. The aim of this study is to uncover the meaning of true happiness as offered by the Qur’an through this verse and to analyze the distinction between illusory, world-oriented happiness and genuine happiness founded on tawhid values and an afterlife-oriented perspective. The research employs a qualitative approach through literature review, referencing authoritative tafsir works by scholars such as Ibn Kathir, Al-Maraghi, and Al-Qurtubi. The findings indicate that, in the Qur’anic view, happiness is not merely found in material fulfillment, but in the human ability to regard worldly pleasures as a means to draw closer to Allah. Therefore, true happiness is spiritual in nature, transcending worldly dimensions and oriented toward the Hereafter. This article contributes to enriching Islamic discourse on the essence of happiness in accordance with the guidance of the Qur’an.

Abstract

The digital transformation era has profoundly reshaped human life, including that of the Muslim community. Within the Islamic worldview (Islam worldview), technology is regarded as a wasilah (means) to fulfill the purpose of human existence as servants and vicegerents of Allah. Therefore, its use must be grounded in the values of tawhid, justice, trustworthiness, and public benefit (maslahah). However, the dominance of secular, materialistic, and liberal values in digital spaces presents serious challenges, such as spiritual disorientation, identity crises, and the marginalization of religious values in digital life. Addressing these challenges requires integrative and sustainable strategies, including the strengthening of Islamic digital literacy, the production of meaningful content, the development of technology aligned with shariah ethics, and collaboration among scholars, educators, technologists, and Muslim communities. This approach aspires to position Muslims not merely as consumers but as key contributors in shaping a healthy, productive, and divinely guided digital ecosystem. Thus, digital transformation becomes a strategic opportunity to reestablish Islam as a rahmatan lil-‘alamin (mercy to all creation) within modern civilization.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the importance of internalizing adab values in shaping the character of female students (santriwati) within the pesantren environment, an area that has received limited academic attention. The aim of this research is to describe the implementation of adab values in the daily lives of santriwati at Pondok Pesantren Tahfidzul Qur’an (PPTQ) Nurul Iman. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, utilizing observation, interviews, and documentation to collect data on the inculcation of values such as politeness, discipline, and responsibility. These values are instilled through habituation strategies, consistent supervision, and exemplary conduct demonstrated by educators and caretakers. The findings reveal that adab values are integrated into the daily routines of santriwati and have become an inherent part of the pesantren culture, significantly shaping their character both in social interactions and in adherence to institutional rules. This study contributes to a deeper understanding of character education based on adab values within the pesantren context and offers practical guidance for similar institutions in strengthening moral and ethical development.

Abstract

Turbines are a key component in hydroelectric power generation, including the Archimedes Screw type, which is specifically designed to operate under low head and low water discharge conditions. This study aims to calculate the rotational speed of the Archimedes Screw turbine under varying water discharge rates, analyze the effect of discharge on turbine rotation, and compute and evaluate the turbine’s efficiency. A quantitative experimental approach was employed, with data obtained through direct testing of a designed Archimedes Screw turbine prototype. Research instruments included measurements of turbine rotational speed and the generated electrical power. Tests were conducted three times at a 45° inclination angle. The results showed that the actual power (Pactual) generated was 11.95 Watts in the first trial, 10.96 Watts in the second, and 12.56 Watts in the third. These findings indicate variations in power output influenced by water discharge and demonstrate the potential of the Archimedes Screw turbine as a micro-hydro energy solution for low-flow water sources. The study concludes that optimizing design and operational parameters is essential for improving the efficiency of such power generation systems.

Abstract

The advancement of information and communication technology has driven significant transformation in document management across various institutions, including corporations. This study aims to develop a web-based technical document repository system for the Site Engineering Unit at PT Semen Padang to address the limitations of manual management and improve efficiency in document retrieval and security. The method employed is software development using the Agile approach, encompassing planning, system design with Unified Modeling Language (UML), system development using the Vue.js and Laravel frameworks, testing through the BlackBox method, and implementation of User Acceptance Testing (UAT). The results indicate that the system successfully modeled actor interactions through UML and passed functional testing. All core features, such as login, document management, role settings, audit trail, and document search—operated effectively without errors. The study concludes that the implementation of a web-based technical document repository system significantly enhances operational efficiency, accelerates retrieval processes, and strengthens document management security within the Site Engineering Unit at PT Semen Padang. The research also recommends further exploration of artificial intelligence integration to optimize system functionality in the future.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the low learning outcomes of students in Informatics subjects, partly due to the limited variety of learning media used. The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of using Quizizz learning media in Paper Mode on the learning outcomes of tenth-grade students at SMA N 1 Sarolangun. The method employed was quasi-experimental with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Data were collected through pretest and posttest assessments and analyzed using the Independent Samples t-Test. The analysis results show a tcount value of –4.529 with a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) < 0.001, greater than the ttable value of 2.012 at the 5% significance level. Thus, H₀ is rejected and Hₐ is accepted, indicating a significant effect of using Quizizz Paper Mode on student learning outcomes. The study concludes that Quizizz Paper Mode is effective in improving student achievement in Informatics. The implications suggest that the use of interactive media adapted to classroom conditions can serve as an innovative alternative to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.

Abstract

Islamic education is grounded in philosophical principles that integrate divine revelation, reason, and local cultural values as the foundational pillars in shaping the educational system within Islamic institutions. This article aims to examine the philosophical foundations of Islamic education, including the concepts of tauhid, revelation, and reason, as well as their implications for institutional structure, curriculum development, and teaching methods. Using a qualitative approach and theoretical review, this study reveals that these philosophical foundations shape a holistic, integrated, and value-driven Islamic education system oriented toward the development of individuals who are faithful, knowledgeable, and morally upright. The practical implications are evident in the development of curricula rooted in Islamic values that are responsive to contemporary dynamics and social needs. An Islamic education system based on these philosophical principles enables the creation of learning processes that emphasize not only cognitive development but also spiritual and moral dimensions, making it highly relevant for implementation in modern educational contexts.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the need for innovative learning models that can enhance students’ motivation, engagement, and learning outcomes in the subject of Computer Fundamentals. The purpose of this research is to examine the effect of implementing the Project-Based Learning (PJBL) model assisted by the interactive digital platform Quizizz on students’ learning outcomes at SMK Negeri 1 Painan. A quasi-experimental design was employed, involving two classes: an experimental group that received PJBL with Quizizz and a control group that was taught using the lecture method. The research subjects consisted of 50 students, with the study conducted from July 21 to August 6, 2025. Pre-tests and post-tests were administered to measure improvements in learning outcomes. The findings indicate that the post-test scores of the experimental group were significantly higher than those of the control group. These results affirm that integrating PJBL with Quizizz is effective in improving learning outcomes, motivation, engagement, and students’ critical thinking skills in computer networking.
