Abstract

The concept of monotheistic faith (aqidah tauhid) is the fundamental basis of belief that must be correct for a Muslim. Therefore, a correct understanding of aqidah is something that must be instilled in the education process of a child. The correct concept of aqidah tauhid, when used in the education process, will give rise to strong morals and character. Thus, this article will elaborate on the correct concept of aqidah tauhid, its importance as the foundation of education, and the application of tauhid in the Qur'an and its implementation in child education. We observe that the current generation is far from being characterized as morally superior individuals, and this is because the foundation of tauhid in education is not functioning well. Therefore, this article will attempt to rectify the basic concept of education with a proper understanding of Aqidah.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools, as traditional Islamic educational institutions, have become an integral part of the history of education in Indonesia. However, with the emergence of modern technology, Islamic boarding schools are faced with new challenges that require adaptation to current developments. This article explores the dynamics of Islamic boarding school education in facing the technological era, exploring how these institutions try to maintain traditional values while still taking advantage of technological advances. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews and participant observation at several leading Islamic boarding schools. The findings show that Islamic boarding schools face a dilemma between preserving traditions and responding to the demands of the times. Several Islamic boarding schools have succeeded in integrating technology into their curriculum without sacrificing fundamental Islamic values. However, challenges in managing the impacts of modernity are also visible, including the potential for changes in social and spiritual values among santri. This article provides insight into Islamic boarding schools' efforts to bridge the gap between tradition and modernity. The practical and strategic implications of this research can provide guidance for Islamic boarding schools and other stakeholders in developing education that is relevant to the times without losing the essence of Islamic boarding school education which has become a characteristic of educational culture in Indonesia.

Abstract

This article discusses the role of Islamic boarding schools in community empowerment efforts in various fields. The aim is to find out the extent of the role and business of Islamic boarding schools in community empowerment efforts. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The presence of Islamic boarding schools in various regions plays a very active role in community empowerment efforts in various fields, both social, educational and economic, which also develop along with the development of Islamic boarding schools in these areas.

Abstract

This article discusses the importance of harmony and tolerance in establishing interfaith relations, especially in the context of the Islamic worldview. The author explores key concepts in Islam that encourage harmony between religious believers, as well as delving into aspects that promote understanding and respect for differences in beliefs. The article also highlights the history and practices that support interfaith harmony in Islamic societies. In conclusion, harmony and tolerance are considered central values in Islam, and this article invites readers to explore them more deeply from the perspective of the Islamic worldview.

Abstract

This article discusses the application of education that pesantren instill in their students based on Surah Luqman verses 12 and 13. The aim is to remind parents about the responsibility of educating children and to help provide insight into what things need to be instilled and accustomed to children in their daily lives. This research uses literature study method and descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through observation. Implementation of Pesantren Education in the Family as the Responsibility of Parents to Educate Children is able to be one solution in providing insight to parents about what is very important to give to children both from an early age until children grow up. With the hope that children who have been sent to school by their parents remain in good habits and do not forget their life while in boarding school.

Abstract

Curriculum is an important tool in education. To improve the quality of education, curriculum development must be carried out comprehensively. This research aims to describe the curriculum development at Al Madinah Boyolali Integrated Islamic Middle School. The research method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method, with a research approach in the form of a case study. The results of the research show that the curriculum at the Al Madinah Boyolali Integrated Islamic Middle School is an integrity curriculum, meaning an educational unit-level curriculum that combines the education service curriculum with the Saudi Arabian curriculum with superior tahfizhul Qur'an and Arabic language programs. The model of teaching and learning activities adopted at the Al Madinah Boyolali Integrated Islamic Middle School consists of two combined systems, namely the Salafiyah education system and the modern education system, namely that teaching and learning activities adhere to the school system in general. Four of the existing components include objectives, curriculum content, strategy, and evaluation. The objective component specifications relate to the four core competencies of graduates that must be mastered or achieved by the students of Al Madinah Boyolali Integrated Islamic Middle School, namely the core competency of monotheism, the core competency of having noble morals, the core competency of being intelligent, and the core competency of being competitive. The content components of the Al Madinah Boyolali Integrated Islamic Middle School curriculum are organized in three forms of activities, namely curricular, co-curricular, and extracurricular activities. The learning strategy component refers to the teaching approaches methods and equipment used in teaching. The curriculum evaluation component is intended to assess a curriculum as an educational program and determine the efficiency, effectiveness, relevance, and productivity of the program in achieving educational goals.

Abstract

There are still many elementary school-age children who have learning difficulties in understanding the arithmetic operations of addition and subtraction which are presented in the form of story problems and the arithmetic operations of multiplication and division. The aim of this research is to determine the types of mathematics learning difficulties experienced by students, the factors that influence learning difficulties, and to reveal efforts that can be made to overcome mathematics learning difficulties in grade IV elementary school. This research method uses descriptive qualitative. The research subjects were 23 class IV students and class IV teachers. The data collection procedures used were observation, interviews, and documentation. The research results showed that 10 of the 23 students in class IV had difficulty learning mathematics. The types of learning difficulties for class IV students in mathematics learning at MI Gagaksipat 2 include difficulties understanding concepts, calculating skills, and solving problems. Factors that cause difficulties in learning mathematics come from internal and external factors. Internal factors originating from students include IQ or intelligence, students' attitudes toward learning mathematics, students' low learning motivation, suboptimal physical health, and students' poor sensory abilities. Meanwhile, external factors originating from outside students include the lack of variation in teacher teaching, the use of learning media that is not optimal, the infrastructure at school, and the family environment. Efforts to deal with mathematics learning difficulties can be made by students, teachers, or schools.

Abstract

Hadith is the second Islamic law pillar after Al-Qur’an. Hadith as second source is showed by three things, namely: Al-Qur’an itself, agreement (Ijma’) of religious leader, logic (ma’qul). Al-Qur’an emphasizes that the messenger functions to explain meaning of commandment of Allah. Therefore, what he states must be followed and his attitude as prophet must be followed by all Muslims. This paper found that functions of hadith toward Al-Qur’an are explanation (bayan) and reinforcement (muhaqiq) for Al-Qur’an. Al-Qur’an is also as Explanation of reinforcement (Bayân taqrir), explanation of Hamdani Khairul Fikri 179 Tasâmuh, Volume 12, No. 2, Juni 2015 passages of Al-Qur’an or explanation of interpretation (Bayân tafsir), explanation of elaboration (Takhshîsh al-’âm), and explanation of change (Bayân Tabdîl). This paper not only found those things but also found that hadiths of the messenger have determined new regulation which is not determined by al-Qur’an. In al-Qur’an there are many verses which command to the faithful to be loyal and do what the messenger commands, forbids, and also threatens people who disagree with the hadith.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the language style in the pasambahan manyerak bareh kunyik in the city of Padang Panjang. This research explores the language styles in Pasambahan Manyerak Bareh Kunyik, a traditional Minangkabau art, with the aim of exploring the depth of the language styles and speech embedded in this performance. This research carries a stylistic approach with the aim of looking at the techniques and forms of a person's language style in presenting ideas in accordance with the ideas and norms used as well as the personal characteristics of the user. The term language style is not referred to the entire form of language use as discourse, but rather to words and units of speech that are considered to contain beauty. Therefore, the research carried out focuses more on units of expression in isolation, not on textual relationships. The method used in this research is the Listening Method to obtain data by listening to language use. The term listening here is not only related to the use of spoken language, but also the use of written language. Furthermore, the technique used here is the tapping technique which is referred to as the basic technique in the listening method because essentially listening is realized by tapping. In this article, researchers attempt to obtain data by tapping into the language use of a person or several people who are informants. In subsequent practice, this tapping technique was followed by a further technique in the form of free listening techniques without getting involved in the conversation, meaning that the researcher only acted as an observer of the informant's use of language and was not involved in the speech event whose language was being studied.

Abstract

Educational renewal is a necessity. This research aims to examine in more depth the educational reform at Pondok Tahfidz and Modern Islamic Boarding School (PTPM) Al-Huda Cawan. This research was conducted because of changing times and educational reforms in Islamic boarding schools, in the form of curriculum, methods, evaluation systems and management. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with a field research model. From the results of data observations, interviews and documentation, the results showed that educational reform at PTPM Al-Huda includes management, curriculum, entrepreneurship, moral learning, language skills training with native speakers and a strong synergistic relationship between the Islamic boarding school and the community to support the existence of the boarding school.
