Abstract

Career selection is a strategic process for university students in determining a future path aligned with their potential, interests, and personality traits. Students of the Informatics Engineering Education Program at Universitas Negeri Padang face diverse career opportunities, necessitating accurate mapping of personality types and career interests to support more targeted career decision-making. This study aims to examine the construct validity and reliability of students' personality types and career interests based on Holland’s RIASEC theory, which classifies individuals into six personality types correlated with specific career tendencies. A quantitative approach was employed using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). The sample consisted of 51 active students from the 2021 cohort, selected using Slovin’s formula from a total population of 104. The research instrument was a closed-ended questionnaire adapted from the Self-Directed Search (SDS), utilizing a 5-point Likert scale and analyzed with SmartPLS 4 software. The analysis showed that all indicators had outer loading values > 0.70 and Average Variance Extracted (AVE) > 0.50. Additionally, Cronbach’s Alpha and Composite Reliability values exceeded 0.90, indicating excellent instrument reliability. The Standardized Root Mean Square Residual (SRMR) values were 0.074 for the personality model and 0.071 for the career interest model, demonstrating acceptable model fit. These findings confirm that the personality and career interest models based on Holland’s theory are valid and reliable, and may serve as a foundation for the development of structured, data-driven assessment instruments and career guidance services.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of using Quizizz-based instructional media on student learning outcomes in Informatics for Grade X at SMAN 1 Ranah Pesisir. The study is grounded in the need for interactive and engaging learning media to enhance student participation and achievement. A quantitative approach with an experimental design was employed, involving two groups: an experimental group using Quizizz and a control group receiving conventional instruction. Data were collected through a posttest written examination and analyzed using statistical tests to determine significant differences between the two groups. The results show that the experimental class achieved an average score of 87 with a standard deviation of 9.107, while the control class obtained an average score of 77 with a standard deviation of 12.148. Hypothesis testing indicates a positive and significant effect of Quizizz-based media on student learning outcomes. The study concludes that Quizizz-based instructional media are effective in improving learning outcomes and student motivation in Informatics. The findings imply that Quizizz can be utilized as an alternative digital learning medium to support more active, competitive, and enjoyable classroom learning processes.

Abstract

The transformation of academic libraries into learning commons models is a response to changing learning patterns and technological developments that require collaborative, flexible, and technology-integrated learning spaces, including in the context of the Universitas Andalas Library, which must accommodate a large user base and provide inclusive, technology-based learning facilities. This study aims to analyze the transformation of the Universitas Andalas Library towards a learning commons model from the users’ perspective by examining the factors that influence its relevance and success. A qualitative approach was employed using a literature study method by reviewing and interpreting scholarly literature, research reports, and institutional documents that discuss the transformation of academic libraries in Indonesia. The findings indicate that the learning commons model strengthens the role of the library as a center of active learning through the integration of physical spaces, digital technologies, and collaborative services; however, its implementation still faces challenges related to infrastructure limitations, the need to improve librarians’ competencies and training, and users’ adaptation to new learning cultures. The study concludes that the successful implementation of a learning commons is highly dependent on its alignment with institutional contexts and user needs, and its implications provide a conceptual basis for developing library transformation strategies that support collaborative learning, digital literacy, and academic innovation in Indonesian universities.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has brought significant changes to parenting patterns in early childhood. Children born as digital natives grow up with early exposure to digital devices, while many parents still experience a digital literacy gap that creates various challenges, such as gadget addiction, reduced social interaction, and the risk of exposure to age-inappropriate negative content. This study aims to examine the dynamics of digital parenting in early childhood, particularly regarding the opportunities and risks of digital technology use in the family context. The research employs a literature review method by analyzing various relevant journals, books, and reports that discuss early childhood parenting and the use of digital technology. The findings show that digital technology has two sides: positive impacts in the form of enhanced cognitive abilities, creativity, communication skills, and motor skills, as well as negative impacts in the form of disturbances to children’s physical, emotional, social, and moral well-being. Therefore, effective digital parenting requires active parental supervision, improved digital literacy, the implementation of rules governing gadget use, the selection of educational content, and a balanced proportion between digital activities and children’s real-world experiences in daily life.

Abstract

The development of valid digital teaching materials is a key prerequisite for stimulating students’ science process skills in physics learning, particularly on static fluid topics for Phase F students at senior high schools/Islamic senior high schools (SMA/MA). This study aims to analyze the validity level of a Static Fluid E-Worksheet (E-LKPD) based on the Dual Space Inquiry Framework (DSIF) as a digital learning material designed to foster students’ science process skills. This Research and Development (R&D) study is limited to the validity phase and employs the ADDIE development model, encompassing the analysis, design, and development stages. Data were collected using expert validation sheets and analyzed with Aiken’s V formula. The validation process involved three expert validators in Physics Education who assessed six components: content feasibility, visual communication, instructional design, software utilization, DSIF stages, and indicators of science process skills. The analysis results show that all validity aspects obtained an average Aiken’s V value of 0.90, categorized as very valid. These findings indicate that the DSIF-based E-LKPD meets criteria of substantive accuracy, presentation quality, visual design, and pedagogical alignment, and is thus suitable for use as a digital teaching material in static fluid physics learning. The developed product has the potential to be used in inquiry-based learning and to support the enhancement of students’ science process skills; therefore, further studies are recommended to examine its practicality and effectiveness through direct implementation with students so that its impact and applicability in real learning contexts can be understood more comprehensively.

Abstract

Early detection of problems in child growth and development constitutes a strategic measure in the provision of Early Childhood Education (Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini/PAUD) to ensure that every child receives stimulation, interventions, and services that are aligned with their needs, given that early childhood is a period of very rapid development and heightened vulnerability to various disorders, thus requiring systematic, integrated, and continuous monitoring. This study aims to describe the urgency of early detection in identifying developmental deviations in children’s physical, cognitive, language, socio-emotional, and behavioral domains within the context of PAUD services. A literature review method was employed by examining various scientific sources related to child development and the implementation of PAUD services. The findings indicate that early detection provides significant benefits, including accelerating the handling of developmental problems, increasing the effectiveness of interventions, and assisting educators and parents in designing appropriate stimulation strategies. In addition, collaboration among educators, parents, and health professionals is a key factor in the successful implementation of early detection. Therefore, early detection needs to be systematically integrated into PAUD services to support optimal child growth and development and to prevent the emergence of more complex developmental problems in later life.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the limited research on the socioeconomic conditions of recipients of the Kartu Keluarga Sejahtera (KKS; Prosperous Family Card) in Nagari Pilubang, Sungai Limau District, Padang Pariaman Regency, despite the significant implications of this phenomenon for the effectiveness of KKS as an instrument of poverty alleviation. The study aims to describe the conditions of income, fulfillment of basic needs, health, and education among KKS beneficiary households in Nagari Pilubang. A descriptive quantitative design was employed with a population comprising all 691 KKS recipients, from which a sample of 87 respondents was determined using the Slovin formula and selected through proportional random sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires and documentation and analyzed using percentage techniques. The findings show that, in terms of income, household income levels of KKS recipients do not yet meet the expected criteria, although the types of employment of heads of households are in accordance with the categories stipulated by the program. The fulfillment of basic needs is considered to meet the criteria, as indicated by housing conditions (home ownership status, wall type, floor type, and water sources), clothing (purchase of clothing at least once a year), and food consumption (animal protein intake dominated by fish). Health conditions are also deemed to meet the criteria because most community members utilize primary health care (puskesmas) services through government-subsidized BPJS health insurance. In terms of education, the conditions of KKS recipients are aligned with program criteria, as the last educational level of heads of households and mothers is generally completed primary school or no schooling. Overall, the results indicate that although KKS recipients remain in the low-income category, their basic needs fulfillment, access to health services, and minimum educational conditions are consistent with KKS eligibility criteria, thereby providing input for local governments to improve targeting policies and design family empowerment programs for beneficiary households.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze in an integrated manner the concepts of wahyu (al-wahy) (divine revelation) and nubuwwah (prophethood) and their implications for shaping the Islamic worldview. The main problem addressed is the lack of an integrated analysis of the authority of the text (wahyu) and the figure (nubuwwah) in formulating a comprehensive structure of the Islamic worldview. The specific objective is to define the absolute authority of both and to examine their impact on the metaphysical, epistemological, and axiological dimensions. The study employs a qualitative method with a library research design and conceptual analysis. The findings show that wahyu constitutes absolute truth content, while nubuwwah functions as a preserved and final channel of transmission. The unity of the two fundamentally shapes an Islamic worldview that is centered on tauhid (metaphysical implication), places wahyu in the highest position as the source of knowledge (epistemological implication), and establishes absolute standards of morality (axiological implication. The study concludes that wahyu and nubuwwah are integral and anti-secular foundations. The implication is that the Islamic worldview must be grounded exclusively in the authentic text and its executor, while rejecting forms of rationalism or materialism that contradict the sharia.

Abstract

Although the concept of divinity in various religions has been widely studied, research that specifically examines the implications of differing concepts of God for the Islamic worldview as articulated by the ulama salaf and the guidance of the Companions remains limited. This study aims to describe the concept of divinity in major religions, elucidate the fundamental principles of the Islamic worldview, and analyze how these theological differences influence the theological, social, epistemological, and moral dimensions of Islam. Using a qualitative approach with a library research design, data were obtained through the documentation of diverse literature and analyzed using a descriptive-analytical method. The findings indicate that differences in the concept of divinity between Islam and other religions significantly shape an Islamic worldview that is centered on tauhid, positions revelation as the primary source of truth, and directs the orientation of life toward the Hereafter. These results enrich the theoretical development of the Islamic worldview and yield practical implications for education, the strengthening of Islamic creed, and the enhancement of religious literacy amid pluralism and modernity. Furthermore, the study opens avenues for further research on the application of the Islamic worldview in responding to global challenges and advances in scientific knowledge.

Abstract

Financial management of facilities and infrastructure is a critical component of early childhood education (PAUD) administration, as it directly affects service quality and institutional sustainability. Effective and transparent financial management is essential to ensure that PAUD institutions can provide facilities and infrastructure that are adequate, safe, and aligned with national early childhood education standards. This study aims to analyze the principles, strategies, and implementation of effective and transparent financial management of facilities and infrastructure in PAUD institutions. A descriptive qualitative review method was employed, drawing on recent literature, technical regulations, and national and international research on PAUD management. The findings indicate that effective and transparent financial management must be supported by participatory budget planning, accountable reporting, continuous supervision, and the involvement of all stakeholders, including teachers, school committees, and parents. Budget transparency has a positive impact on public trust and on improving PAUD facilities and infrastructure, thereby creating a safe and appropriate learning environment that supports children’s optimal growth and development. The study underscores the importance of financial governance grounded in accountability, efficiency, and openness as the basis for strengthening professional, quality-oriented management of PAUD institutions.
