Abstract

Workplace well-being has become an increasingly prominent topic in psychology, both nationally and internationally, particularly in the context of eudaimonic well-being, which emphasizes meaning and self-actualization in the workplace. One contributing factor to high eudaimonic workplace well-being is hardiness—the individual’s capacity to face stress with a sense of commitment, control, and challenge. This study aims to examine the relationship between hardiness and eudaimonic workplace well-being among firefighters and rescue officers in Bukittinggi City. A quantitative correlational method was employed, involving 43 field firefighters selected through total sampling. The instruments used included an Indonesian-adapted eudaimonic workplace well-being scale based on two dimensions: interpersonal and intrapersonal well-being, and a hardiness scale comprising the dimensions of commitment, control, and challenge. Spearman correlation analysis revealed a significant positive relationship between hardiness and eudaimonic workplace well-being (correlation coefficient = 0.417; p < 0.05). The study concludes that higher levels of hardiness are associated with greater eudaimonic well-being at work among firefighters. These findings offer practical implications for human resource management, particularly in fostering psychological resilience to enhance the quality of workplace well-being among fire and rescue personnel.

Abstract

The limited research on the use of AI-generated content (AIGC) in digital marketing education within vocational settings forms the background of this study, despite AIGC’s significant potential to transform how students design promotional strategies and carry out online selling activities. This study aims to analyze how students perceive the use of AIGC and its impact on online sales performance in the context of a Digital Marketing course. A qualitative approach with a case study design was employed, involving eight participants selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected via semi-structured interviews and analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings reveal that AIGC supports content production efficiency, enhances audience engagement, and expands students’ digital reach. However, its impact on sales performance remains inconsistent due to external factors such as market segmentation and distribution strategies. These findings align with social-cognitive learning theory, which emphasizes the role of direct experience in the learning process. The study concludes that AIGC plays a crucial role in supporting project-based learning in vocational education, particularly in the context of digital entrepreneurship. The implications include a theoretical contribution to the literature on AI integration in vocational education, as well as practical recommendations for educators to adapt curricula that are responsive to technological advancements. This research also opens avenues for further studies on the long-term effectiveness of AIGC in enhancing students’ digital business performance.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the critical role of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs in promoting social inclusion, particularly for persons with disabilities who continue to face limited access to economic and social empowerment. The objective of this research is to analyze the social and economic impacts of the PERINTIS Program implemented by PT. KPI Unit VI Balongan, Indramayu Regency, on the empowerment of persons with disabilities, especially those with hearing and speech impairments. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The findings reveal that empowerment was carried out through four main pillars: Bina Manusia (capacity building and confidence enhancement through barista training and creative workshops), Bina Usaha (establishment of the "Teman Istimewa" café to support economic independence), Bina Lingkungan (development of disability-friendly communities and inclusive infrastructure), and Bina Kelembagaan (partnerships with local stakeholders). The program successfully created inclusive spaces and opened economic opportunities for participants, despite internal challenges such as limited self-confidence and external challenges including suboptimal synergy with local government. The study concludes that the PERINTIS Program has made a positive contribution to the empowerment of persons with disabilities, though broader coverage and stronger institutional support are needed to ensure wider and more sustainable impact.

Abstract

The phenomenon of bullying among adolescents is a social issue with serious implications for psychological, social, and emotional development, thus requiring appropriate and contextually relevant interventions. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of muhasabah therapy as a counseling approach to reduce bullying behavior among adolescents in Klakahrejo Village, Surabaya. A qualitative approach with a case study design was employed, involving observation and in-depth interviews with individuals identified as perpetrators of bullying. Muhasabah therapy was implemented through a systematic process comprising problem identification, diagnosis, prognosis, treatment, and evaluation. The therapeutic process focused on six main steps: goal setting (musyarathah), self-control (muraqabah), self-reflection (muhasabah), self-sanctioning (mu’aqobah), commitment to change (mujahadah), and desire management (mu’atabah). The findings indicate positive changes, including a decrease in verbal bullying behavior, enhanced self-reflection abilities, and improved peer relationships. These results suggest that muhasabah therapy is effective in helping adolescents manage negative behaviors, enhance spiritual awareness, and strengthen social responsibility. In conclusion, muhasabah therapy holds potential as a practical alternative strategy in Islamic counseling for addressing bullying behavior among adolescents.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the importance of developing students’ critical thinking skills in economics education, particularly in Phase E, as a response to complex social issues in society. The aim of the research is to examine the effectiveness of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model based on Socio-Scientific Issues (SSI) in enhancing students’ critical thinking abilities in economics. A quantitative approach was employed using a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent group pretest-posttest design. The research sample consisted of 66 eleventh-grade students at SMA Negeri 10 Muaro Jambi, selected through purposive sampling, with 33 students each in the experimental and control classes. Data collection techniques included observation, testing, and documentation, while data analysis was conducted using an independent sample t-test on the posttest results. The test results show that the tₕᵢₜᵤₙg value of 7.322 is greater than the tₜₐbₑₗ value of 2.037 (α = 0.05; df = 64), with a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05, leading to the rejection of H₀ and acceptance of Hₐ. This indicates a significant difference in critical thinking skills between students taught using the PBL-SSI model and those taught with the expository method. The study concludes that the Problem Based Learning model based on Socio-Scientific Issues is effective in improving students’ critical thinking skills in economics. The findings imply that incorporating social issue-based approaches in instruction is recommended as a strategy for fostering students’ critical literacy toward real-world problems.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the variations in expressions of love across individuals, influenced by culture, environment, and upbringing. In Minangkabau society, which adheres to a matrilineal kinship system, differing social roles and values between men and women may influence love styles. The objective of this research is to examine gender-based differences in love styles among Minangkabau emerging adults in Padang City. A comparative quantitative approach was employed with a sample of 400 Minangkabau emerging adults (200 males and 200 females), selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a love styles scale based on John Lee’s (1973) theory, with a reliability coefficient of 0.924. The questionnaire was distributed online, and data were analyzed using the Mann-Whitney test due to non-normal distribution. The results reveal significant gender differences in the love styles of eros, ludus, storge, pragma, and agape, while no significant difference was found for mania. The study concludes that gender influences variations in love styles among Minangkabau emerging adults, reflecting a cultural construction in which women are ascribed more dominant interpersonal roles. The findings contribute to cross-cultural psychology literature on love and provide a foundation for developing culturally and gender-sensitive psychological interventions.

Abstract

The limited number of studies examining the impact of Praktek Lapangan Kependidikan (PLK, or Educational Field Practice) on the interest in becoming a teacher—particularly among students of the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) study program—serves as the background for this research. Direct experience during PLK is believed to play a significant role in shaping students’ perceptions, motivation, and readiness to pursue teaching as a profession. This study aims to analyze the influence of PLK on the interest in becoming a teacher among 2021 cohort PAI students at Universitas Negeri Padang. A quantitative approach with a correlational research design was employed. A sample of 56 students was selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected through PLK grade documentation and a questionnaire on teaching interest, and then analyzed using simple linear regression with IBM SPSS Statistics 22. The results indicate that the average PLK score was 87.21 (moderate category), and the average interest in becoming a teacher was 91.46 (moderate category). The product-moment correlation test yielded an r value of 0.901 with a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a very strong and statistically significant relationship between PLK and interest in becoming a teacher. The coefficient of determination (R²) was 0.811, suggesting that 81% of the variance in teaching interest is explained by PLK. These findings confirm that positive experiences during PLK—such as support from mentor teachers and successful teaching practices—significantly contribute to increasing students' interest in becoming teachers. This study reinforces experiential learning theory and offers practical recommendations for higher education institutions to enhance PLK implementation through systematic mentoring, evaluation, and reflection.

Abstract

Pendapatan Asli Nagari (PAN), or Village-Generated Revenue, is a crucial indicator in promoting development and economic self-sufficiency at the village level, including in Nagari Padang Laweh, Sungai Tarab Subdistrict. The Badan Usaha Milik Nagari (BUMNag), or Village-Owned Enterprises, plays a strategic role in enhancing PAN through the management of productive, locally oriented business units. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of BUMNag Padang Laweh in increasing PAN by examining performance achievements, management integration, and adaptive strategies. A qualitative descriptive method was employed, with data collected through interviews, observation, and documentation over the period 2022–2024. The findings indicate that BUMNag management is effective, as evidenced by the cattle fattening business unit contributing an average of 70% of the PAN target, the implementation of financial transparency, and flexible fund management. Management integration operates optimally through synergy among village policies, government capital support, and active community participation in deliberation and oversight. Adaptive strategies, such as annual evaluations, business diversification, and budget efficiency, have enabled BUMNag to maintain its contribution to PAN despite challenges related to limited capital, human resources, and market dynamics. This study underscores the central role of BUMNag as a driver of the local economy capable of sustainably increasing village revenue.

Abstract

Community empowerment, particularly of rural women, plays a vital role in enhancing both economic and social well-being. However, limited access to resources, training, and markets remains a key obstacle to fully realizing the potential of women farmers. This study aims to analyze the implementation of community empowerment through Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT, or Women Farmers’ Groups) in Jorong Pulau Air Barat, Nagari Tandikat, Patamuan Subdistrict, Padang Pariaman Regency, by examining three main aspects: enabling (creating supportive conditions), empowering (strengthening capacity and participation), and protecting (safeguarding institutional sustainability and social solidarity). A qualitative descriptive method was employed, with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews with KWT members and village officials, and documentation of group activities. The findings reveal that the enabling aspect has been implemented through local government support and recognition, although challenges remain in post-harvest facilities and market access. The empowering aspect is reflected in improved skills, confidence, and member participation following training programs. The protecting aspect is manifested through internal group regulations, regular mentoring, and social solidarity that sustains institutional resilience. These findings affirm that group-based empowerment through KWT significantly contributes to strengthening the economic independence of rural women and reinforcing the social fabric of local communities.

Abstract

The teaching of Akidah Akhlak in schools often faces challenges in creating an engaging and interactive learning environment, necessitating innovative learning media that can enhance student involvement while strengthening content comprehension. This study aims to develop an interactive PowerPoint-based learning medium, AKFI (Akidah Akhlak Fun Learning), focused on the topic of zulm (wrongdoing), and to assess its feasibility and effectiveness. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, which includes five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The study involved 22 students from class X IPS 1 at MA Al-Bairuny Sambongdukuh, Jombang. Validation results indicated a very high level of feasibility, with scores of 92% from the subject matter expert and 97.34% from the media expert. Field testing yielded a score of 89.32%, falling within the "highly appropriate" category. These findings demonstrate that the AKFI media is both feasible and effective in enhancing the quality of Akidah Akhlak learning, and is well aligned with student needs and characteristics.
