Abstract

One of the media that represents the role of mothers in instilling Islamic values is the animation Si Bulan Koki Super. This study aims to examine the Islamic values instilled by the Mother character in the show, as well as how her role in shaping religious attitudes in early childhood. This research was conducted with a qualitative approach through the content analysis method, with data obtained from observation and documentation of one episode, namely “Minggu Pagi Si Bulan dan Meong Jualan Kue!?” (“anak kukuk ruyuk”). The results of the analysis show that Bunda's character not only appears as a mother but also as an educator who consistently instills Islamic values such as patience. These values are conveyed through modeling, giving advice, and linking religious teachings with daily activities. This animation show has a positive impact, not only for children as the main audience, but also for parents who can use it as inspiration in educating children in an Islamic manner.

Abstract

This study examines the values of moral education in the animated film Hafiz and Hafizah in shaping intelligent and pious children's character. The purpose of this research is to identify the moral education values present in the animated film. The method used is a qualitative approach with content analysis as the research type. The subjects of the study consist of two video samples taken from the YouTube channel Hafiz and Hafizah, titled “Apa Yang Disukai Allah Part 2” and “Bazzar Untuk Kebaikan Part 2.” The data collection instruments included observation and documentation. The results indicate that the moral education values in the animated film Hafiz and Hafizah encompass (1) moral education values to Allah in the context of being devout to Allah Swt and (2) moral education values to others in the context of sharing and forgiving one another. These findings provide significant contributions to the development of children's character through animated media and can serve as a reference for moral education in family and school environments.

Abstract

The application of integrated quality management principles (TQM) is vital to ensure that every stage of education, from input, process, to output, meets the established quality standards. SMK Negeri 4 Samarinda is one of the vocational schools in Samarinda city that plays an important role in producing ready-to-use middle-level workforce. This study aims to identify the strengths and weaknesses in the implementation of TQM principles and provide strategic recommendations to assist the school in improving its management system comprehensively. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with the aim of understanding and deeply describing the application of the process approach principles in integrated quality management at SMK Negeri 4 Samarinda. The results indicate that the implementation of this principle is still not optimal in various aspects. Teacher involvement in the development of quality programs is dominated by passive participation, with only about 20% of teachers actively engaged. Similarly, the realization of the teaching factory program and industrial practice has not been fully equitable, with only 68% of students gaining experience in the teaching factory and 60% of the practice facilities deemed adequate. These findings reflect the incomplete implementation of the process approach in the planning and execution of quality-based learning activities.

Abstract

This article analyzes the low critical thinking skills of students in the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum at SDN Pengambangan 9. This study aims to identify the factors that influence students' thinking activities. Through interviews with teachers, it was found that although the Merdeka Curriculum aims to encourage students to think independently and actively in the learning process, many students are, in fact, less active, not accustomed to working in groups, and tend to be passive in expressing their opinions. Contributing factors include the rapid transition of the curriculum, limitations in infrastructure such as projectors and internet connectivity, and teachers' uneven understanding in applying the new approach. Furthermore, the P5 project, which aims to build character, has created new challenges, particularly in terms of costs and parental participation. Although some teachers acknowledge that the Merdeka Curriculum helps students focus more on specific material, which impacts academic achievement, various obstacles still need to be addressed. The school routinely holds community learning training (kombel) and encourages teachers to attend workshops funded by the BOS (School Operational Assistance). The results of this study recommend improvements in learning facilities, more intensive teacher mentoring, and evaluations of character-based projects to make them more adaptive to school conditions.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of using Lumi Education games to improve students' learning outcomes on the material of religious diversity symbols in Indonesia. The method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with a descriptive quantitative design through a two-cycle approach. The subjects of the study consisted of 19 students from Class IIC at SD Negeri 060913 Medan, selected purposively. Data were collected through observation and learning outcome tests, and then analyzed using descriptive percentage statistics. The results indicate a significant increase in student and teacher activity as well as student learning outcomes from Cycle I to Cycle II, with the average score rising from 70.71 to 83.57 and the completeness of learning reaching 85.71%. These findings align with the objectives of the study and reinforce constructivist learning theory and technology-based learning theory, which emphasize the importance of active student engagement. The main conclusion of this study is that Lumi Education media is effective in improving learning outcomes and student engagement in Pancasila Education. The implications of this research include theoretical aspects in the form of literature enrichment on interactive media in character education, as well as practical aspects in the form of recommendations for teachers and elementary schools to integrate engaging and interactive digital media to create more meaningful learning experiences. This research also opens opportunities for further studies on the optimization of the Lumi Education platform in different educational materials and levels.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the limited research on the relationship between the quality of educational services and student satisfaction, despite this phenomenon significantly impacting the learning experience in Islamic educational institutions. The aim of this research is to measure the effect of the quality of educational services on the satisfaction of eighth-grade students at MTs Unwaanunnajah. This study employed a quantitative approach with a survey design, involving 78 respondents selected using saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through a questionnaire and analyzed using SPSS version 29, with validity tests, reliability tests (Alpha Cronbach), normality tests, linearity tests, and simple linear regression analysis. The results indicate a positive and significant effect of the quality of educational services on student satisfaction, with an F value of 26.734 (p < 0.001) and a correlation coefficient of 0.510, which is categorized as moderate. The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.260 indicates that 26.0% of student satisfaction is influenced by the quality of educational services, while the remaining 74.0% is influenced by other variables. These findings support the objectives of the research and reinforce the theory that dimensions of service quality, which include responsiveness, assurance, tangibility, empathy, and reliability, play a crucial role in shaping student learning satisfaction. The main conclusion of this study is that improving the quality of educational services can enhance student satisfaction. The implications of this research include theoretical contributions to enriching the literature on the quality of Islamic educational services, as well as practical recommendations for school management to continuously improve service quality. This study also opens opportunities for further research with a broader scope and comparisons across institutions.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the presence of students who have very little desire to learn, grades that are still below the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM) and the media used by teachers are still conventional such as printed books and whiteboards. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the use of video tutor media on student learning outcomes. The method used in this study is a quantitative method with the type of Quasi Experimental Design Nonequivalent Control Group with a two group pretest-posttest design. The sample determination uses a purposive sampling technique. Purposive sampling is sampling based on research objectives/certain characteristics. The population of class X TEI is 45 people. The number of samples is 24 students divided into 2, namely 12 students for the experimental class and 12 students for the control class. The research was conducted in the 2024/2025 academic year in class X majoring in industrial electronics engineering. This study shows that the average post-test score of experimental class students is higher than the post-test score of the control class, which is 92.00> 67.33. From the results of the Independent Sample t Test on the post-test data, the t-count value is obtained = 3.844 and the Sig. (2-tailed) value is 0.001. The t-table distribution value is seen based on df = 22 with a significant level of ???? = 0.05 is 2.074. Because the t-count value> t-table (3.844> 2.074) and Sig. (2-tailed) 0.001 <0.05, Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. From the results of the independent sample T-test, video tutorial media has an effect on the learning outcomes of basic electronic engineering subjects for class X TEI at SMK Negeri 4 Pariaman.

Abstract

The rapid adoption of cryptocurrency as a digital asset has sparked extensive discourse within Islamic legal scholarship, particularly concerning its permissibility under Sharia law. This issue remains contentious due to the absence of authoritative legal fatwas from recognized institutions such as the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI), compounded by concerns over gharar (excessive uncertainty), maysir (speculation), and riba (usury) inherent in cryptocurrency transactions. This study investigates the perceptions of both Islamic scholars and the local Muslim community in Sumedang, Indonesia, regarding the Sharia compliance of cryptocurrency. Employing a qualitative case study design, data were collected through participant observation, semi-structured interviews, and document analysis. The findings revealed a divergence of opinion: a majority of respondents viewed cryptocurrency as speculative and incompatible with Sharia principles, while a minority expressed conditional support, emphasizing the potential for permissibility with stringent regulatory oversight. The analysis further identified a pervasive lack of Islamic economic literacy and regulatory clarity, which exacerbates uncertainty and influences public skepticism. Younger participants, despite showing strong interest in crypto assets due to profitability and accessibility, demonstrated limited understanding of Islamic financial jurisprudence. These findings highlight the critical need for formalized guidance through fatwas, alongside robust Islamic financial education initiatives. A nuanced, Sharia-compliant framework—developed in collaboration with knowledgeable scholars—could offer pathways for integrating cryptocurrencies into the Islamic economic system in a manner that upholds doctrinal integrity.

Abstract

Failure in instructional strategies is often caused by a mismatch between the methods used and students’ needs and learning styles, ultimately hindering content comprehension. This study aims to analyze the instructional strategies used in Islamic Religious and Character Education within the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum at SD Angkasa Lanud Sutan Sjahrir, Padang City, and to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors involved. The research employed a qualitative approach, with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation involving the principal, Islamic Religious Education teacher, and students. The findings indicate that instructional strategies were systematically designed, encompassing the formulation of learning objectives, stages of activity (introduction, core, and closing), selection of relevant methods, and the use of engaging media. The learning objectives were focused on developing students’ knowledge and character, while the chosen methods and media effectively enhanced student participation and learning enthusiasm. Supporting factors for the implementation of these strategies included the involvement of all school elements and the availability of adequate facilities, while inhibiting factors included limitations in resources and time. Overall, the instructional strategies for Islamic Religious and Character Education in the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum have been effectively applied through appropriate method and media selection and the active involvement of teachers and students in the learning process. This has had a positive impact on instructional effectiveness and the achievement of curriculum goals.

Abstract

This article explores the philosophical underpinnings of the falsification theory proposed by Karl Raimund Popper, a key figure in the philosophy of science in the 20th century. Utilizing a library research approach and descriptive analytical methods, the study delves into the core principles and implications of falsification as a model of scientific reasoning. Unlike the verificationist paradigm that seeks to confirm theories through accumulating supportive evidence, Popper’s falsification theory asserts that scientific theories must be testable and open to refutation through empirical observation and experimentation. The article examines how falsification provides a more rigorous framework for distinguishing scientific knowledge from non-scientific claims by promoting continual testing and revision. It further discusses the broader methodological implications of falsification for scientific inquiry, emphasizing its relevance across multiple disciplines. By fostering a mindset of skepticism and critical inquiry, falsification theory challenges researchers to remain open to new evidence and alternative explanations, thereby supporting the evolution of science as a dynamic and self-correcting enterprise. This analysis highlights the enduring importance of Popper’s contribution to research methodology and the development of progressive scientific thought.
