Abstract

This research is motivated by the transition of the curriculum from the 2013 Curriculum to the Independent Curriculum at SDN Alalak Tengah 4 which faces various challenges, especially related to teacher readiness and the availability of learning resources. The purpose of the research is to identify the problems faced by schools in the curriculum transition process as well as the factors that affect the implementation of the Independent Curriculum. The method used was qualitative research with a case study approach, involving teachers and students as samples, as well as data collection through in-depth interviews with school principals and observations. The results of the study show that some teachers, especially senior teachers, have not fully understood the principles of the Independent Curriculum and have difficulties in compiling independent teaching modules. The implementation of the curriculum was carried out in stages but then fully implemented in all classes due to the pressure of competition between schools. The main obstacle is the limitation of learning media such as textbooks.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the low learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SDN 2 Setu Wetan Cirebon in the subject of Pancasila Education, which is caused by a teacher-centered learning approach and minimal use of interactive media. The purpose of this research is to improve student learning outcomes through the implementation of the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach assisted by the educational game media Wordwall. The method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with the Kemmis & McTaggart model, conducted in two cycles. The subjects of the study are 29 students, with data collection techniques comprising observations of teacher and student activities as well as learning outcome tests. The results show an increase in the students' average score from 62 (pre-cycle) to 74 (cycle I) and 81 (cycle II). The percentage of learning completeness increased from 27.59% in the pre-cycle to 58.62% in cycle I and 82.76% in cycle II. Teacher and student activities also experienced significant improvement. In conclusion, the implementation of the TaRL approach assisted by Wordwall media is effective in significantly improving student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the rising trend of organic farming in Indonesia and the importance of effective marketing strategies in this sector. This research aims to analyze the marketing mix (4P) strategies implemented by CV. GS Organik, a leading organic horticulture company in Kupang, NTT, as well as to identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) that affect their marketing performance. This study employs a qualitative method, with data collected through interviews and observations at CV. GS Organik. The research results indicate that CV. GS Organik leverages product quality, competitive pricing, strategic distribution, and diverse promotional activities to maintain a strong market position. This study concludes that a balanced marketing mix and the utilization of strengths and opportunities are crucial for sustainable growth in the organic farming sector. The implications of this research provide valuable insights for actors in organic agriculture, emphasizing the importance of targeted marketing strategies and SWOT analysis to enhance competitiveness and market reach.

Abstract

The issue of profitability in state-owned bank (BUMN) remains a primary concern, especially in relation to the effectiveness of implementing Good Corporate Governance (GCG) and managing problematic loans or Non-Performing Loans (NPL). This study aims to analyze the effect of GCG and NPL on Return on Assets (ROA) in the banking subsector of BUMN listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2020–2023 period. The method used is an associative quantitative approach with purposive sampling technique, resulting in 4 out of 6 BUMN banks as the sample. Analysis was conducted using panel data regression with E-Views 12. The results indicate that, partially, GCG does not have a significant effect on ROA, while NPL has a significant negative effect on ROA. Simultaneously, GCG and NPL have a significant effect on ROA, with an Adjusted R-Squared value of 0.73, which means that 73% of the variation in ROA can be explained by these two variables. The conclusion of this study is that good credit risk management, particularly in reducing the NPL ratio, has a greater influence on profitability compared to the separate implementation of GCG. The practical implication of this research is the importance of integrating good corporate governance with risk management strategies to improve asset efficiency and sustainable financial performance in the BUMN banking sector.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the low student learning outcomes in IPAS learning, especially the material of various kinds of community economic activities in class V SD GMIT Oebobo which is due to the use of learning media that is less varied so that it triggers student boredom and difficulty in understanding learning. The formulation of the problem in this study is how to improve student learning outcomes on the material of various kinds of community economic activities through the use of interactive media based on the wordwall website. Because the purpose of this study is to improve student learning outcomes in the material of various kinds of community economic activities through the use of interactive media based on the wordwall website. The type of research used in this research is Classroom Action Research which is carried out in 2 cycles, where each cycle consists of 4 stages, namely 1) Planning, 2) Implementation, 3) Observation, and 4) Reflection. The data collection techniques were observation, tests, and documentation studies while the data analysis was descriptive analysis. The results showed that the percentage of student learning outcomes completed in cycle I of 34% increased to 100% in cycle II of the 26 student test results analyzed. The use of interactive media in this lesson also improved the criteria for student activity which in cycle I was in the sufficient criteria increased to very good in cycle II and the criteria for teacher activity which in cycle I was in the good criteria increased to very good in cycle II. Thus, the use of interactive media based on wordwall website in learning about various economic activities of the community can improve student learning outcomes of IPAS learning in grade V of GMIT Oebobo Elementary School.

Abstract

Employee morale is a key factor in achieving organizational goals, but is often disrupted by work stress, excessive workload, and work conflicts that have not been managed optimally. This study aims to analyze the effect of work stress, workload, and work conflict on employee morale at PERUMDA Air Minum Tirta Anai Unit Batang Anai Padang Pariaman Regency. This research uses a quantitative approach with descriptive methods. The research sample amounted to 38 people who were the entire population of employees in the unit. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and questionnaires arranged on a Likert scale, then analyzed using multiple linear regression. Validity and reliability tests were conducted to ensure the validity of the instrument, and classical assumption tests (normality, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity) to ensure the feasibility of the regression model. The results showed that work stress and workload have a positive and significant effect on employee morale, while work conflict has no significant effect. The conclusion of this study is that good stress management and workload distribution can improve morale, while work conflict, although not significant, still needs to be monitored so that it does not develop into a psychological barrier in the work environment.

Abstract

In the midst of globalization and technological advances, libraries are required to transform into centers of social inclusion that are able to encourage socio-economic development. This study aims to describe the effectiveness of the knitting class program in developing a social inclusion-based library implemented by the West Sumatra Provincial Archives and Libraries Office. The research method used is a quantitative approach with a descriptive survey design. The research sample was 30 program participants who were determined using the saturated sample technique. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and the distribution of Likert-scale questionnaires that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis techniques used descriptive statistics, including editing, tabulation, frequency distribution, and percentages. To maintain data validity, triangulation techniques and discussions with peers were applied. The results showed that the knitting class program was rated effective based on five key indicators: program understanding, targeting accuracy, timeliness, goal achievement, and tangible changes. Participants demonstrated a high understanding of the empowerment goals, as well as experiencing increased skills and tangible economic benefits from the program. In addition, the program implementation ran on time and was able to form a new social network through the knitting community. In conclusion, the knitting class program contributed positively to the development of a social inclusion-based library and became a good practice in supporting the socio-economic development of the community in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

Education plays an important role in forming a generation that is able to answer the challenges of the times, but the quality of teacher performance is still a major problem in many educational units. This study aims to determine the effect of leadership and managerial skills of school principals on improving teacher performance. This study uses a quantitative approach with an associative descriptive research type. The population in this study were all ASN teachers and teachers who had NUPTK in SMA Negeri 1 Lubuk Basung as many as 50 people, with a saturated sample technique. The instrument used is a closed questionnaire containing indicators of each variable, which has been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis techniques include descriptive analysis, classical assumption tests (normality, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity), and multiple linear regression analysis with the help of the SPSS program. The results showed that (1) principals' leadership has a positive and significant effect on teachers' performance, indicated by t-count > t-table and significance <0.05; and (2) principals' managerial skills also have a positive and significant effect on teachers' performance, with similar statistical test results. This study concludes that principals' leadership and managerial skills significantly contribute to improving teacher performance. Therefore, strengthening these two aspects is important in creating a productive and quality school environment.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the low learning outcomes of sixth-grade students at SD Negeri Nunbaun Sabu on the topic of exploring the solar system, which has not yet reached the Learning Achievement Criteria (KKTP) of 75. Observational results indicate that the low learning outcomes are due to the teacher-centered learning model, resulting in students being less active and untrained in critical thinking and collaboration. This study aims to improve students' learning outcomes regarding exploring the solar system through the implementation of the problem-based learning model in sixth-grade at SD Negeri Nunbaun Sabu. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. Research instruments include observation sheets, learning outcome tests, and documentation. The results of the study show that the implementation of the problem-based learning model can enhance teacher activity, student activity, and learning outcomes. In Cycle I, the average observation score for teacher activity reached 68.3 and student activity 62.5, with a learning completeness of 36.84%. After improvements in Cycle II, the teacher observation score increased to 91.6 and the student score to 87.5, with learning completeness reaching 89.47%. Based on these data, it can be concluded that the implementation of the problem-based learning model in the topic of exploring the solar system can improve students’ learning outcomes. This model makes students more active, critical, and capable of collaborating in problem-solving, and can be used as an alternative learning model to enhance critical thinking skills and learning outcomes in similar subjects.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the limited research on the revitalization of the Merdeka Curriculum, despite its significant impact on improving the quality of education at SDN Semangat Dalam 3 Banjarmasin. The study aims to explore the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum revitalization and identify supporting factors and challenges. The research adopts a qualitative descriptive case study design, with a sample of one principal and one teacher selected through purposive sampling. Data was collected using in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and curriculum document analysis, and analyzed through thematic analysis. The findings reveal that the revitalization of the Merdeka Curriculum has enhanced instructional innovation and fostered active involvement of teachers and students in learning. The principal applied a transformational leadership style to motivate teachers, while teachers assumed the role of facilitators in active learning. The establishment of teacher learning communities also contributed to the successful implementation of the curriculum. These findings align with organizational change theory in education, which emphasizes collective leadership and collaboration, as well as transformational leadership theory, which views school principals as change agents. The role of teachers as facilitators aligns with constructivist learning theory, which emphasizes student-centered learning. The study concludes that the success of Merdeka Curriculum revitalization is influenced by synergy between principals and teachers. The implications include theoretical contributions by enriching the literature on Merdeka Curriculum implementation, and practical recommendations for education authorities and schools to enhance teacher training, leadership, and sustainable teacher learning communities. Future research focuses on the long-term impact of curriculum revitalization on student outcomes.
