Abstract

This study is motivated by the low Mathematics learning outcomes of elementary school students, particularly in multiplication, which are attributed to monotonous teaching methods and limited active participation. The research aims to improve the Mathematics achievement of Grade V students at SDN 067240 through the implementation of the cooperative learning model Class of Champions from the Ruang Guru platform. The study employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) method using the Kemmis and McTaggart model in two cycles, each comprising the stages of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were 16 Grade V students, while the object of the study was learning outcomes measured through pretests and posttests in each cycle. The results show a significant improvement from cycle I to cycle II, with the average student score increasing from 61.25 in the pretest to 73.125 in cycle I, and 86.25 in cycle II. The percentage of students meeting the Minimum Mastery Criteria (Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal, KKM) rose from 50% to 75% and finally to 93%. These findings demonstrate that using game-based learning media not only improves learning outcomes but also creates an enjoyable, interactive atmosphere that motivates students to engage actively. This research contributes to the development of innovative teaching strategies in elementary schools and provides a foundation for further studies on strengthening numeracy literacy through educational digital media.

Abstract

The absence of an integrated thesis supervision system in the Accounting Department of Politeknik Negeri Semarang presents a significant issue, given the importance of monitoring the supervision process to support timely student graduation. This study aims to design an effective thesis supervision management system that facilitates the monitoring and management of the supervision process. The research employs a system development approach based on Unified Modelling Language (UML) within the Total Architecture Synthesis (TAS) framework. The database utilized is MySQL, supported by the XAMPP web server. System requirements were gathered through observations and interviews with academic supervisors and department administrators. The outcome of the study is a system design comprising database architecture, user interface prototypes, and a structured supervision workflow. The system is designed to assist lecturers and students in tracking supervision progress, minimizing administrative barriers, and supporting the achievement of higher education Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Practically, this study delivers a prototype system that can be implemented in the Accounting Department or adapted by other programs with similar needs. Theoretically, it contributes to the development of information technology-based supervision management models in vocational education settings.

Abstract

This research is driven by the limited strategic role of schools in instilling moral and social values, which contributes to the emergence of deviant behavior among students. Conversely, schools are also responsible for administering educational sanctions and providing counseling to address such behaviors. The study aims to explore and analyze the role of schools in shaping morality and regulating social behavior, with a specific focus on teaching practices at Al Hasanah Islamic Boarding School in Bengkulu. Utilizing a descriptive qualitative approach, the research investigates the school’s contribution to moral development and its influence in maintaining students’ social standing. The findings reveal that moral education at Al Hasanah is implemented through structured religious routines, such as Qur’an recitation, communal prayers, dhikr, and sunnah fasting—along with teacher role modeling, the reinforcement of discipline, and the cultivation of social practices like greeting, smiling, and showing care for others. These practices have effectively fostered student traits such as integrity, discipline, humility, and leadership. Additionally, the Islamic boarding school functions as a social control institution, successfully minimizing deviant behavior and producing individuals capable of becoming positive role models in society. The study affirms that Islamic boarding schools serve not only as centers of religious education but also as agents of social transformation, contributing to the development of a moral, religious, and socially responsible generation.

Abstract

Short-form video-based social media platforms such as TikTok have become primary channels for the dissemination of electronic word-of-mouth (e-WOM), significantly influencing consumer behavior. However, research gaps remain regarding the roles of information quality, quantity, credibility, and consumer attitudes in shaping purchase intention. This study aims to analyze the impact of e-WOM on TikTok on the purchase intention of Skintific products by applying the Information Acceptance Model (IACM). Data were collected from 186 respondents selected through purposive sampling, based on the criteria of being TikTok users aged 18 or older who had accessed Skintific product reviews. The research instrument was an online questionnaire using a five-point Likert scale, and data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with the SmartPLS software. The results indicate that Information Quality, Information Credibility, and Attitude Towards Information have a positive and significant effect on Information Usefulness, whereas Information Quantity does not show a significant effect. Furthermore, Information Usefulness has a positive and significant influence on Information Adoption, which in turn significantly affects Purchase Intention. These findings highlight that quality, credibility, and consumer attitude toward information are key determinants in enhancing purchase intention through e-WOM, while the quantity of information is not always relevant within the context of TikTok as a short-form video platform.

Abstract

The limited number of studies on the active role of housewives in improving family economies forms the background of this research, despite the significant impact of this phenomenon on household economic well-being. This study aims to describe the contributions of housewives and the various activities they undertake to enhance family income in Jorong Aie Angek, Kenagarian Koto Tinggi. A qualitative method was employed, using purposive sampling to select 20 informants. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that housewives play a strategic role in increasing household income. In addition to fulfilling domestic responsibilities, they engage in supplementary work such as running small shops, working as daily laborers, selling fried snacks, and sewing. The primary motivation for housewives to seek income-generating activities stems from economic pressures, particularly inadequate earnings from their husbands. The income generated by housewives significantly contributes to meeting household needs and enhancing family welfare. The main conclusion of this study is that the role of housewives is crucial in supporting family economic resilience. The implications highlight the need for policy-makers and communities to support the economic empowerment of housewives, and open opportunities for further research on success factors in women's household-level economic activities.

Abstract

The intense competition in the culinary industry in Jambi City, including in the snack food sector such as Hot Pangsit Bar-Bar, necessitates a comprehensive understanding of the factors influencing consumer purchasing decisions. This study aims to analyze the influence of price, taste, product quality, and location on consumer demand for Hot Pangsit Bar-Bar, both partially and simultaneously. A quantitative research method with a survey approach was used by distributing questionnaires to 100 active consumers. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression to examine the relationships among variables. The results show that all four variables, price, taste, product quality, and location have a positive and significant partial effect on demand, and a simultaneous significant effect with a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05). The Adjusted R Square value of 0.555 indicates that 55.5% of the variation in consumer demand can be explained by these variables. The study concludes that marketing strategies that emphasize competitive pricing, alignment with consumer taste preferences, consistent product quality, and strategic location are crucial for increasing consumer demand. These findings offer practical implications for culinary business owners to optimize key factors in attracting and retaining customers.

Abstract

The limited number of studies on the effectiveness of local wisdom-based comic media in improving students’ narrative writing skills forms the background of this research, despite its significant impact on the quality of Indonesian language instruction in elementary schools. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of using comic media based on local wisdom in enhancing the narrative writing skills of third-grade students at UPT SPF SD Inpres Minasa Upa. A quantitative method with a true experimental design was employed, involving 48 students selected from a population of 73 using random sampling techniques. Data were collected through narrative writing skill tests and student activity observation sheets, and analyzed using both descriptive statistics (mean, percentage, and standard deviation) and inferential statistics via the Independent Samples t-Test. The results show that local wisdom-based comic media is effective in improving narrative writing skills, as indicated by the experimental group’s posttest mean score of 19.46 (equivalent to 84.61), which was higher than the control group's score of 17.46 (equivalent to 79.36). The t-test yielded a value of t = 2.860 with sig. (2-tailed) = 0.006 < 0.05, thus supporting the alternative hypothesis. The main conclusion of this study is that comic media rooted in local wisdom is proven effective in enhancing students' narrative writing skills. The implications include theoretical contributions to the study of culturally based learning media and practical recommendations for teachers to develop engaging, contextual teaching tools. The study also opens avenues for future research on other language skills using similar approaches.

Abstract

This study critically examines the role of social communication in enhancing interaction skills among elementary school students, with a specific focus on SD IT Al-Munawwar. Elementary education serves as a vital stage for cultivating social competencies that support meaningful engagement both within and beyond the classroom. Drawing on Durkheim’s theory of social solidarity, the study explores how structured social communication fosters a collaborative and inclusive learning environment. Employing a qualitative research approach, the study involved homeroom teachers and students as participants. The findings indicate that implementing social communication strategies, such as group discussions, interactive learning activities, and creative pedagogical approaches significantly improves students’ ability to interact effectively. Additionally, the study highlights the growing influence of digital platforms on student interactions, emphasizing the need to optimize communication strategies in response to the evolving educational landscape. These insights offer practical recommendations for educators, particularly at SD IT Al-Munawwar, in designing responsive and effective learning methods that address the communication needs of students in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of consumer trust, ease of use, and payment flexibility of TikTok PayLater on purchasing decisions for Wardah cosmetics. The research employed a quantitative explanatory approach, designed to explain relationships and effects among variables. The sampling technique used purposive sampling, with the population being students of Universitas Prof. Dr. Hazairin, SH Bengkulu. A total of 120 respondents who had used TikTok PayLater and purchased Wardah cosmetics online were selected. Primary data were collected through an online questionnaire distributed via Google Forms using a Likert scale, and analyzed with SPSS version 25. The results show that, partially, consumer trust, ease of use, and payment flexibility each have a significant effect on purchasing decisions. Simultaneously, these three variables also significantly influence purchasing decisions for Wardah cosmetics. These findings affirm that the integration of psychological (trust), functional (ease of use), and financial (payment flexibility) aspects plays an important role in driving purchasing decisions in the digital era. The study concludes by emphasizing the importance of marketing strategies that are responsive to digital consumer behavior. The implications suggest that these results may serve as a reference for designing technology-based marketing strategies in the cosmetics industry as well as in the broader e-commerce sector.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the growing importance of understanding consumer behavior in the rapidly expanding halal cosmetics market, particularly among Generation Z. The objective of the research is to analyze the factors influencing purchase intention toward halal cosmetic products in Indonesia, focusing on the variables of religious belief, ingredient safety, halal logo, and promotion. A quantitative approach with a survey method was employed, involving 200 Generation Z respondents who completed an online questionnaire. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression to identify the effect of each variable on purchase intention. The findings reveal that all four variables have a positive and significant influence on the purchase intention of halal cosmetic products. These results confirm that religious values, ingredient safety, the presence of a halal logo, and effective promotional strategies play crucial roles in shaping consumer intention. The study concludes that halal cosmetic companies should design integrated marketing strategies, particularly by leveraging digital platforms aligned with the characteristics of Generation Z. The implications of this research offer valuable insights for developing business strategies that are grounded in halal values and tailored to the preferences of young consumers in the digital age.
