Abstract

The aims of this study are (1) to determine the needs of the English Club, (2) to review the English Club's human resources and infrastructure, (3) to evaluate the implementation of the English Club, and (4) to examine the results of the English Club program. The method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative method with the CIPP model. The results of this study are first, how the English Club can become a forum for IAIS Sambas students to have good English skills and this can be seen from the purpose of the establishment of the English Club itself. Then, the English Club already has a quite good infrastructure, but for teaching staff it uses non-experts. Next, at the implementation level, it has been carried out quite well, although there are still obstacles. Finally, the program is successful for active members who have a good base of English skills. But for members who are not active in English, this program is not much help.

Abstract

This study aimsa to determine student errors in solving story problems of a two-variable linear equation system using the Newman procedure. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. The subjects in this study involved 6 high school students. The object of this research is the students mistakes in solving the story problems of a two-variable linear equation system. Data collection techniques used are diagnostic testh questions and directv communication (interviews). This study concludesa that students still make mistakes based on theh Newman procedure. There are five stages of errors in the Newman procedure in solving mathematical problems, namely: (1) errors in rewriting that known in the problem and being unable to interpret the meaning of words, (2) being unable to understand the questions and questions referred to in the problem, (3) unable to change the story problem into a mathematical model according to the procedure and do not know the formula that used, (4) unable to solve the problem using arithmetic operations correctly and incorrectly results in the calculation operation, (5) unable to complete the final result and cannot conclude accordingly with what is asked in the question.s The causes of these problems are lacka of understanding of the questions, unable to capture problem information contained in the questions, lack of practice in working on the form of story questions, mistaking information from the teacher.

Because of that the school will always try to evaluate in order to get the desired models, according to the criteria. This article describes the notion of curriculum and several development models curriculum. The existence of educators cannot be separated from the curriculum because the teacher is the mediator between the curriculum and students. Teachers can be involved in curriculum development in two ways, namely as participants in the process or as users of curriculum products. The discovery of Fatimah bint Maemun's tomb in Leran, Gresik, East Java, which dates to 1082 AD, signaled the entrance of Islam in Java. Additionally, the contribution of historical characters or scholars known as Wali Songo, which included Sunan Gresik, Sunan Ampel, Sunan Giri, Sunan Bonang, Sunan Kalijaga, Sunan Gunung Jati, Sunan Drajat, Sunan Kudus, and Sunan Muria, could not be separated from the entrance of Islam in Java. By using tactful and nonviolent preaching techniques, namely a cultural approach using art media, including wayang, gamelan, Javanese music, and traditional rites coupled with Islamic teachings, so that Islam is not perceived as a threat to other religions. The dispersion was also utilized in addition. Additionally, the dissemination was done through educational channels by building Islamic boarding schools where those who helped promote Islam in Java and its surroundings could assemble and study. The development of Islamic kingdoms in Java, such as the Demak Kingdom, the Cirebon Kingdom, the Banten Kingdom, and the Pajang Kingdom, also contributed to the growth of Islam in Java.

Abstract

Islamic education in Kalimantan in its historical trajectory has its own pride, with the publication of a person who received the title "Sun of Islam from Kalimantan". Will the sunshine of education continue to illuminate the footsteps of Islamic education today? Educating the public will be very effective if it starts with integrating with power, Sheikh Arsyad as a scholar who has succeeded in uniting the sultan as the ruling elite and his people on the basis of Islamic teachings, so that there is no separation between the sultan and the people and between the umara and the clergy. This can be achieved because the system of approach that he took went from the bottom, only then to the ruler or sultan.
