Abstract

This service activity was motivated by the problem of inundation in the pond area in Plosobuden Village caused by the limited capacity of the river network and irrigation canals and the lack of spatial databases in its management. Conceptually, this service refers to a spatial-based water resource management approach (GIS-based water resource management) and community-based approach. The purpose of the service is to increase community capacity in identifying and managing inundation through GIS-based mapping of irrigation networks. The methods used include: (1) satellite image acquisition and interpretation, (2) digitization and mapping using QGIS, (3) channel and runoff capacity analysis, and (4) participatory training and mentoring. Evaluation indicators include: (a) increased community understanding measured through pre-test and post-test, and (b) participation level measured from participants' attendance and active involvement during service. The results showed the preparation of irrigation network maps and the identification of inundation critical points. Quantitatively, there was an increase in comprehension scores from the average from 42.7% to 80.3% of the total registered participants. These findings show that GIS integration and participatory approaches are effective in supporting community-based irrigation management

Abstract

The community service program is carried out by providing ecological perspective Citizen Journalism training with the aim of (1) increasing knowledge about environmental awareness based on youth groups, (2) participants can implement well efforts to prevent environmental damage in maintaining customary forest areas, and (3) participants can disseminate knowledge about world views, traditions, and best practices regarding the protection of customary forest areas through journalistic writing. The main target audience for the community service activities are the Cerekang indigenous community, Customary Institutions, and Youth Groups in Manurung Village, East Luwu Regency, South Sulawesi. The results obtained in the community service program activities are increased knowledge and concepts of preventing ecological and customary-based environmental damage, increased understanding of the flow of prevention and reporting if they find environmental damage events, and participants in the Citizen Journalism training program can implement their understanding and attitudes into journalistic works in order to campaign for the importance of protecting the environmental ecosystem from all forms of natural damage. The outputs of PKM activities are (1) increased knowledge of participants regarding activity materials, (2) journalistic products in the form of essays and opinions in published newspapers, and (3) publication of PKM implementation in online media.

Abstract

Mataram City faces declining community participation, weakening mutual cooperation, and low literacy in zakat and waqf within the partner organization, Metro Insan Mulia Foundation. This activity aims to identify, analyze, and strengthen social capital in promoting civic engagement. The method used is a participatory qualitative approach through interviews, observations, and documentation involving three key informants: the chairman, program manager, and HRD. The activity was conducted through preparation, implementation, and evaluation stages, with data analyzed using Nvivo 12 Pro. The evaluation results indicate that strengthening social capital through bonding, bridging, linking, and the internalization of organizational values and norms enhances partner understanding, expands networks, and builds public trust. The impact on the partner includes increased volunteer involvement, higher community participation in social programs, and improved organizational capacity. Additionally, this activity produced a systematic mapping of supporting and inhibiting factors of civic engagement as a basis for sustainable program development. In conclusion, strengthening value-based and professional social capital is effective in fostering inclusive and sustainable civic engagement.

Abstract

This community service program (PKM) addresses the question of how a website-based financial system can improve the efficiency and transparency of financial management at HKBP Cimahi Sisingamangaraja Church. The position of this activity lies in the implementation and development of a church financial management system as a technological solution to existing administrative challenges. The system was developed using the waterfall method, which includes requirement analysis, system design and implementation, as well as testing and evaluation stages. The results of the implementation indicate that the website-based financial system is capable of centralizing financial data management, simplifying transaction recording processes, and enhancing the transparency of church financial management. These findings demonstrate that the adoption of a web-based financial system can effectively support more accountable and efficient financial administration within church organizations.

Abstract

Empowering housewives is a crucial strategy for supporting the household economy in Indonesia post-Covid-19. The pandemic has led to decreased income due to job losses and reduced economic activity. By improving skills, access to capital, and business opportunities, housewives can increase family income sources. Programs such as entrepreneurship training, access to digital marketplaces, and micro-capitalization help build independent businesses. This increases family economic resilience and national recovery through MSMEs. In the Pasekan Lor hamlet, the majority of housewives act as household managers with free time but lack skills. This situation opens up opportunities for empowerment and financial independence for housewives. Abstract

The agricultural sector in Lagan Ulu Village faces productivity challenges due to irrigation damage and the absence of a management institution. This community service project aims to establish a Water User Farmers Association (P3A) and increase farmer capacity through the Irrigation Water Use Improvement Acceleration Program (P3-TGAI). The activity took place from July to September 2025 and used a participatory approach involving farmers, village officials, lecturers, and 10 KKNT students. The program stages included problem identification, outreach, deliberations with 17 core representatives of farmer groups, preparation of Articles of Association/Bylaws (AD/ART) and the Budget Work Plan (RKA), legalization, and monitoring and evaluation. As a result, a formal organization, "Lagan Ulu Berjaya Water Users Farmers Association," was successfully established and legalized through a notarial deed. The AD/ART and RKA documents now serve as operational guidelines that regulate the water management system, fees, and sanctions. Evaluation using a standard observation sheet indicated the program's success with a global score of 4.00 (High category). The sense of ownership and active cooperation indicators achieved a maximum score of 5.00, whereas the mechanical capacity for independent floodgate maintenance remained limited (3.00). Overall, this institutional strengthening successfully transformed water governance from an individualistic to a systematic approach, supporting the sustainable irrigation of 210 hectares of tidal land in Lagan Ulu Village.

Abstract

Tahfiz Al-Qur'an learning in nonformal institutions still faces obstacles in evaluating recitation and providing intensive memorization assistance. This community service activity aims to improve the understanding and skills of students and teachers in utilizing the Tarteel AI application as a supporting medium for tahfiz learning based on Artificial Intelligence (AI). The activity was carried out at PKBM Tahfiz Attamam Pekanbaru involving 95 participants consisting of students and teaching staff. The activity methods included socialization, training, hands-on practice, and evaluation using Likert scale-based pre-tests and post-tests. The evaluation results showed that 87% of participants understood the basic concepts of AI after the training, while 94% of participants demonstrated interest and readiness to utilize the Tarteel AI application as a supporting medium for tahfiz learning. In addition, teachers assessed that the application could help monitor students' memorization more systematically. This activity shows that the utilization of AI through the Tarteel AI application has the potential to support more adaptive tahfiz learning and contribute to the implementation of SDG 4 on Quality Education.

Abstract

This community service program aims to implement traditional da’wah media as a model for strengthening emotional intelligence among the Srikandi Women Farmers Group in Karangmalang through pranatacara and pamedarsabda. The program was motivated by the strategic role of mothers as primary educators within the family and the need to strengthen emotional capacities relevant to the socio-cultural context of rural communities. This study employed a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach involving 35 participants. The program included theoretical sessions, pranatacara and pamedarsabda training, as well as practical application within family settings. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and were analyzed descriptively using a qualitative approach. The results showed that most participants experienced an increased understanding of the functions of pranatacara and pamedarsabda as media for family da’wah and emotional communication. Based on observational findings, participants began to use Javanese language in a more polite, structured, and persuasive manner during communication practices. In addition, participants who initially lacked confidence gradually demonstrated greater courage in public speaking and improved ability to manage nervousness during practice sessions. Reflection results also indicated that the training helped participants become more patient, more careful in choosing words, and better able to control their emotions when communicating with family members. These findings indicate that traditional da’wah media rooted in local culture can serve as a means of strengthening emotional intelligence and interpersonal communication among rural women. .

Abstract

Employees of PT. Yushin, a manufacturing company in East Java, face serious problems related to consumptive behavior and dependence on fintech lending services that negatively impact their performance and financial well-being. Preliminary studies showed a 12% increase in absenteeism and a decline in average performance scores from 78.4 to 72.1 (scale of 100) during 2022–2023. This community service activity aims to improve employees’ financial literacy, raise awareness of the risks of fintech lending dependency, and encourage healthier financial behavior. Implementation methods included three phases: (1) preparation through needs surveys, module development, and evaluation instruments; (2) a full-day financial literacy workshop with four content sessions; and (3) evaluation through pre-test and post-test assessments. The activity involved 80 permanent employees selected purposively. Results showed an average increase in financial literacy scores of 34.2%, from 57.8 to 77.6 (scale of 100). The highest improvement was in understanding fintech lending risks (47.3%) and personal financial management (38.6%). A total of 93.8% of participants expressed satisfaction and readiness to apply healthy financial principles. This activity produced tangible outcomes including improved financial literacy and management’s commitment to follow up with a sustainable Employee Financial Wellness program
